  1. There is NO caste system in Sikhi, it's a disgrace people are claiming themselves as jatts, etc when Sikhi is open about being against it

  3. Why care about the rest of the world? We are all going to die one day and turn into dust. Only care about what God thinks and no one else because he was with us from the beggining and will stay forever! THe world will never accept anything, not even Sikhs who are following a strict code of conduct... Just live in his sweet will
  4. Can someone upload a link here when its up online, Thank you!
  5. I don't see a point in celebrating. Al-quaeeda is still up and running. I wonder If Narak has set up a tower with him in it with planes flying at him. Who knows
  6. Hanjee I agree, they do not believe in some necessary rehats.. He allows jewlery, fashionable materialistic stuff and think bibek is pointless.. Although he is a wise man and inspired many on particular topics, he kind of twisted Sikhi.
  7. Hanjee of course they can! After taking Amrit you are a Singh/ Kaur...part of the Khalsa Fauj ad equal to everyone else.
  8. Damita89 jee, it's beautiful souls like you who make me smile I'm happy sikhi gives you peace, I hope you never feel different because sikhi is in the outside, not anything of race and color on the outside. We are all here to receive Gods love! Opps typo. I meant sikhi comes from the" inside"
  9. Vaaheguroo! Bhenjee, you cant blame them, they havent been blessed with Sojhee to understand and accept bhaanaa... Take all the putting down as kaljug testing you and trying to bring you down. Take all negative comments to make you stronger and prouder to be a part off the fauj!
  10. Rehat pyaaree mujhko sikh pyaraa naahee Vaaheguroo, beautiful Saakhee ...guroosaaheb bakshlo, im full of so much avgun, meray te ve guroosaaheb di pitt houvaygee :'(
  11. I once made a sign that said "chup daa daan baksho" ...(Im not sure if thats how you spell it in English for this post). And held it infront of the bibiya and then taped it on thier wall where its noticable. It definitly helped =) Sometimes we just have to step in there and do something about it rather than getting frustrated
  12. "motorcyclewale" jee, what you stated is sad and true for most. There are guroosaaheb de pyaray who do thier nitnem, dont have facebook and dont watch television But those are the few rare gems on the pantth. Wearing guroosaahebs banaa is important at all times. Why wear western when he blessed us with such a unique gift? Why wear and try to look like who we arent? You can spot a singh/singhnee from far with Banaa. Ideally, those who wear banaa everywhere SHOULD be the first to jump to help someone in need. They should be the ones that people just have to look at and instantly smile to because their smile uplifts them in some way. We shuld do more community service for homeless shelters and other places in need. To the original poster, there are many responses to your topic on various forums, just have to do a tad bit of research and you'll find some answers
  13. Khalistan Zindabad! ....heard there's already a Gupt khalistan
  14. Baanee pahroo, Naam Jaapo! Best thing, as bhenjee "_singhni_" stated is have conversations with Guroosaaheb and you'll feel such warmth, he's soo close but these eyes full of gandh and dirt have made us blind... Darshan Dekh Jeevaa Gun Teraa!
  15. Vaaheguroo... This is taken from gurmatbibek.com .ExternalClass .ecxhmmessage P{padding:0px;}.ExternalClass body.ecxhmmessage{font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma;} .ExternalClass .ecxhmmessage P{padding:0px;}.ExternalClass body.ecxhmmessage{font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma;}As per a Mahavaak from Gurbani if one stays in the Sangat of Gursikhs, only then one falls in love with Vaheguru ਸੰਤਾ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੈ ਤਾ ਸਚਿ ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ On the other hand, friendship with such persons who don't have love for Naam and Vaheguru results in problems: 1॥ (Friendship with Manmukhs is for four days only (shortlived). It does not take time in breaking of such friendship and this friendship results in evil tendencies (Vikaar). Ones who don't have fear of the True One (Vaheguru) and ones who don't have love for Naam; why have friendship with such people who have been led astray by Kartaar). The above Gurbani Pankitis are very deep and lesson-giving. First Guru Sahib instructs us to not have associations with such people who don't have fear of Vaheguru and who don't have love for Naam because such association results in flow of sinful thoughts (Vikaars) in us but in the end Guru Sahib also informs us that Manmukhs are led astray by Kartaar Himself. The last Hukam is given to us so that we don't develop ego on our part and hatred for Manmukhs. Since they are led astray by Vaheguru, then this too must be true that if we are walking on the Path of Gursikhi, it is so because of grace of Vaheguru. So we should not become proud of being Gursikhs and should not have hatred for Manmukhs. We should avoid friendship with Manmukhs not because not out of hatred or pride but because it is the Hukam of Kartaar to do so. Many a times, it has been noticed that when someone looks down on someone or mocks someone for committing a mistake, one finds oneself in a similar position, having committed a similar offense. So the stupidist thing to do is to mock someone or make fun of someone or look down on someone who has committed a mistake. All is happening as per the Divine Hukam of Vaheguru jee. Presented below is a very pertinent Kabit from Bhai Gurdaas jee's Baani, that talks about different kinds of Sangat: 549॥ 1. Air of some direction is such that results in rainfall and air of some direction is such that disburses the clouds. 2. Some kind of water results in making the body healthy but drinking some kind of water results in the person crying in pain. 3. Fire in some houses helps in cooking food and fire in some houses burns the whole house down. 4. Company of some (people) results in making one Jeevan Mukat and company (Sangat) of some (people) takes one to Jampur (hell). The last Pankiti shows that bad Sangat takes one to hell and good Sangat results in Jeevan-Mukti spiritual state. Under the influence of the modern civilization, many Gursikhs ignore this very important Hukam of Guru Sahib and make friendships with non-devotees without any qualms. Then they are found asking questions like why can't I get up at Amritvela or why can't I concentrate on Naam etc. How would one get up at Amritvela when one goes to Manmukhi gatherings that end late night? Even late gatherings of Gursikhs result in sometimes missing Amritvela, then how on Earth would attending late Manmukhi gatherings enable one to get up at Amritvela too? May Guru Sahib always bless us with such Sangat that prompts us to engage in Naam Abhyaas alone. A big portion of our rehitvaan life is totally dependent on our sincere Ardas and our karams, both of which are further dependent on SatGuru jee's grace. We can do Ardas to be blessed with Sarabloh Bibek, to be blessed with the Sangat of rehitvaan Gurmukhs, to be blessed with Amritvela, to be blessed with saas-giraas Naam Simran, the list goes on and on. If it is in not in our karams, we may never be blessed with any of this. However, if SatGuru jee wills, He can still bless us with all of this and burn off those negative karams. It is upto Him if He wants to give these baksheeshaan to us or not. We can just do Ardas and beg. If we are gifted, amazing! If not, then we will stay stuck where we are. Chatrik also hopes to add some minor points, which he has learned from his experience. Those who are in Gursikhi saroop(many sadly in bana) but are NOT agiakari(obedient) towards SatGuroo also fall into the category of manmukhs you have talked about. Because their true sanj(partnership) is not with Naam & SatGuroo. They may sing/read gurbani+wear bana but constanly being intouch with such sangat, will eventually make one loose the russ of Naam in ones jeevan. Amritwela is one indicator if one should do the sangat of any individual or not. Dass has personally encountered many who question this Hukam from Gurbani and tend to blindly lable gursikhs as hangkari. What they dont realize is, all such things that gursikhs do, are done to guard ones Jeevaan and crop of Naam. Maybe SatGuroo keep us humble and away from such KUsangat!
  16. culture really does not have a thing to do with Sikhi. Some people born in Sikhi act as if amrit is some sort of Ruafsaa drink, they dont respect it one bit which is very sad and frustrating. Some people who arent born in Sikhi give it high value. At the end of the day, its the soul inside of you and how much its thirsty for guroosaahebs pyaar. If its strong enough to follow rehat and stay in bhanaa. Do not get annoyed, whatever they are doing is due to thier past karam. Just do ardaas for them to guroosaaheb, may they one day start following gursikhaa dee rehnee behnee jeevan!
  17. Do ardaas for Maafee from guroosaaheb. Whoever you laughed at, ask bhul chuk maafee from him. Dont do it again - lesson learned. =)
  18. I prefer a kara on each arm...Kinda think of it as handcuffs from guroosaaheb, being his daas. Reminds you that your hand are not free for kaljugee activities.
  19. Bhenay your not alone! I have facial hair as well, places where i never had it before such as a on the cheeks and chin. In the starting, I was insecure but then it hit me that i should be PROUD of this kesh. Do you think Mata Saaheb Kaur Jee had no facial hair? Even other Singhneaa... Some Chardekalaa gursikhs were discussing this and said Kamaaee vale singhneeah get kesh on thier face more than others. Rom Rom - vaaheguroovaaheguroo! Be PROUD of it bhenay, with your head high, do not care what classmates, family or anyone has to say. At the end. its only guroosaaaheb who matters =)
  20. Think about those pyaray singhs who did not even dare to look at a female in that way because they are all sisters until anand karaj. Maybe youve heard this before.... A women whom people thought to be very attractive once said to a Singh that she found him attractive. The singh replied, " Which part of me do you find attractive, so I may chop it off?" .........THAT is what you call Guru Day SIngh. You are in this world for a limited time veeray, please do not let false beauty, false bliss of falling in love with someone else take you away for your main purpose here. I will not say stay away so that your thought diminish, because you should not run away from kaljug like this. You have to overcome and fight it. We are constantly in Jug with punj chorr every second of our life.
  21. If she has already fallen in love with a "amritdhari boy" than i do not personally feel she is ready for amrit. Being in love with another and then giving your head just do not combine. At this time, the bhenjee should be totally dedicated to becoming amritdhari, not falling in love with someone who will not go with her after death. Kaljug tends to strike people when they are going on the right path. Unless they are trying for anand karaj asap, it may or may not work out. Its all in hukum so there is no point in trying to arrange these kinds of things yourself. We can't look in the future.
