I second that Khalsa ji. All these "Sikhs" treat us like an outcaste because we stand out.. like I;m the only Singh who hasn't shaved yet.. hmm So instead I started to hang around with the mates who actually respected me. I noticed, Funnily enough, that people from different races respect me than our own! Like some aunties just STARE at you.. not with awe.. but with DISGUST.. when they see your sikhi saroop, while they themselves wear enough makeup to make sure even that 1 INCH of face is not touching air. Its quite sad really.. but on the other hand, white people and muslims in my college seem to respect me because of my Sikhi. (wel.. they seem interested in my kirpan lol) My advice to you Khalsa ji, is that if you cant get the ideal sangat (ie: chardi kala gursikhs) then at least, stop hanging around with those wannabes and your better off hanging around with people who actually RESPECT u :lol: Trust me u'll feel good inside (not hankaar... hopefully!) when they ask you questions about sikhi and you answer them. in my opinion the tuk says this 2 me.. PAVAN GURU... Guru gives knowledge, Knwledge can pass through nething(if u see it as a matter). Through places where even water/liquids cant pass through. well maybe.. 1)wen water is dirty, its easy to notice. Only clean pure water is desirabe to drink (u wont want to drink water wich has bits in it!!) so maybe this linked to the purity of amrit.. 2)Water can represent Akal Purakh Vaheguru, while the pataasse (sugar thingys.. lol) represent us. Just lyk sugar dissolves into water, we will diffuse into Vaheguru Ji when we take Amrit Ras of Naam. 3)Since water is used to wash you, maybe the water in this instance represents how Amrit washes ur past inner sins. Yeh, i know.. it won't make any difference if you carry on committing sins. But in the same way, if you have a bath and then jump into a mud puddle.. then your clean-less is lost.. yeah? But if you keep clean, away from dirt, you will stay clean as clean as when u 1st washed urself! Same with amrit.. 4) or maybe I'm just wrong!
