But they seem like bragging. Then theres accounts by british and muslims about how brave and amazing we were. But after awhile it just becomes wish fulfillment. Especially after the reality. My own father who taught me these sikhi ideals is a big jatt casteist and a ruthless business man and a badal supporter. He had to realize to succeed in life, ideals dont help (not without lots of bhagti). I know sikhi was meant to he great. And its teachings are amazing. But what if you just want to be normal? What if ur too weak to follow that path? And what if the rest of the world has already implemented all of sikhi ideals leaving the sikhs laughably behind.

They say you can do Laavan the paath daily and ardaas for a good wife. But also look for good girls in strict, conservative families. Usually those families aligned with a samparda or a jatha. Skills like tabla, martial arts, coding, penny stocks, yoga, archery, gatka, cooking, langar seva, welding, woodcrafting. Listen to katha of all of guru granth sahib ji, read all of sooraj parkash by reading one sakhi a day. Read sikh books from authors like bhai veer singh, bhai randheer singh in english ir panjabi. Go join taksaal or a nihung jatha for a summer. Attend sikhi camps worldwide. Have fun, widen your horizons before you become a family man.

I think that might be allegory or other figurative device. They say to make ppl relate to a story, u write it as if it happened locally. Most of dasam granth uses alot of allusions and other figurative devices to make ancient myths more interesting to the contemporary audience. Ask something in ardaas. God is your father. It behooves you to ask him for help. Beg him. Also if you did web development. Keep studying online. This is only focused on western sikhs. S: we are mostly panjabi/Indian. So we share the same language, background and geographical issues.we mostly believe in similar things. Compare to muslims and Christians our problems are more narrow. We have these massive gurdwara everywhere. And gurdware were used by gaddars in 1900s to collect funds and support independence as well as 1984 support.Also most sikhs want sikhs to be United. And it is easy to spot patterns and judge people. We have two tiers of people: The professionals doctors, lawyers ppl in offices/retail, teachers; businessmen store owners, gas owners; and labor ppl truck drivers, construction workers. The citizens and the illegals. The 4th generation vs the freshies. The amritdharies (religious) vs monas (nonreligious). The traditional vs modern. The missionary vs orthodox. Rural vs urban. Jatt vs non jatt. Panthic centered vs self centered. Materialistic vs spiritual. Most panjabi are either hard working or have enough social support from family that won't end up as losers. In america there is a growth of coach potato sons who just play video games. Parents will just marry them to RN nurse from india and they set for life. And there won't be any incels due to arranged marriage. W: because we r mostly panjabi. There are no resources for nonpanjabis. But they are growing slowly. Each tier only thinks about themselves they dont empathize with the other. And we hate the opposite side that we dehumanize them. Citizens look down on illegals and take advantage of them. We retaliate with the sword when the pen is mightier. We need to bring back the sikhi intellectual culture where debate was allowed and ambiguity was taught. So the less video games, movies, sec, entertainment the better. But some people will become depressed with such a life. So do the minimum you can. British and American people seem to have treated everyone badly from the indentured Irish, african slaves, to asian immigrants. While I think it may have had to do with race. I think it also has to do with the times. The british also treated their sailors pretty badly what with impressment and beatings, not to mention the lower classes in the factories and workhouses. You dont have to go pesh BUT you must stop. When you stop, you will have withdrawal. And if you keep using steroids you will kill your adrenals which make natural hormones now. Then you will be dependent on the shots like diabetes ppl are. Also who knows what's in the shots you take. Sometimes natural hormones are taken from animals. Some are synthetic. Beautiful! I think Islam is probably the first step after human birth. It teaches one about faith in One god. Then perhaps christianity it teaches one morality like be kind, love etc. Then buddhism teaches us about spirituality that there's more than just pain and pleasures of Earth and heaven and hell. Or considering sikhs state these days. Buddhism might even be the ultimate. So true lol. Those very rule adhering, only one way is correct prolly have a sunni muslim background. There are four options: temporary hell, temporary heaven, then you go into reincarnation. If good deeds then as a human. If bad then back to joona, animals. If you are very good, saintly, then you get to meet God and escape reincarnation. If you believe in a religion, maybe your prophet can intercede for you. But mostly we believe in karma.
