  1. Our paji 'Justajatt/shaheedjatt'' said it plainly in simple english.. he's quite simply said...."Why are we indirectly asking another gursikh to do nindiya of someone that some members have a problem with"
  2. I love the way that Sant darshan dhakkiwale explains that. All the yugs are in motion all the while but depending on our state of minds, anyone can be more dominant. Sant ji gives some very deep and profound wisdom in some of his videos, and you have to try and catch his subtle hints. I love the way that he puts deep emphasis on abyaas.
  3. This is quite a deep topic and one which we can all begin to understand and contemplate better with experience, development and progress. Firstly, I think it's important to point out that this is not the physical heart but more so what is termed the ''Spiritual Heart'' in many other faiths as well. My main interpretation is referring to this spitiual and sukham hirda that can be felt but is not physical. Although, Sat1176 ji above, correctly pointed out the heartbeat and pulse japping naam so that jap is circulating all round body...... This does concern the physical heart, but that is just the first stage of a few jugtees. The idea is to eventually get the jap and simran all over the sukham sareer and nadis, and it can begin to be felt in the spiritual heart area and all over internal subtle body. Remembering, that nearly all the below is just y interpretation and take on this issue at this moment in time, and it may change complete direction in the coming future !!From the little that I think I understand at the moment........ .....This hirda or spiritual heart, is more mid-chest chest area and being slightly to the right of our physical heart. This is where you could say the God centre, the soul or atma is focally centred It is not like the mind, which is covered with a veil of maya and ego. A few areas to touch upon, that I can think of- 1)the experience and feel of the Hirda. 2)Realtionship of hirda and mind, (if there is any?) 3)Is the harmandir within in the hirda, the mind or both ? You could say, or I would say.. it's the Pure untouched divine within, that is nothing but the Divine love. It's a totally subtle/sukham feeling of energy that can only be described as LOVE. We have probably all felt this spiritual heart energy at times when it can glow and dampen all other feelings and emotions, and this is mostly to some sort of triggers that will lead to this limited experience. Most triggers can be when we may have those moments of extreme joy and excitement because of some good news, new event, attained or given some exciting posession.....etc.... ...It's that feeling when the heart flutters and you feel it beating with this joyful love energy.. But, these triggers are mostly All maya ! What I understand about gurbani mentioning this joy, from, or at the hirda, is the same kind if joy but at a much higher intensity and with no maya triggers or any gains of maya. It's purely some sort of blissful feeling that comes with the Love between the Atma/soul at the hirda, experiencing the love of God/Paramatma. A bit like the Atma(droplet of water) merging and experiencing the affinity of Paramatma(Ocean) Ji▫o jal jal mėh pais na niksai ṯi▫o dẖur mili▫o julāho. ||1|| Like water, dripping into water, which cannot be separated out again, so is the weaver Kabeer, with softened heart, merged into the Lord. Jis ṯe upjai ṯis ṯe binsai gẖat gẖat sacẖ bẖarpūr. We shall merge into the One from whom we came. The True One is pervading each and every heart. Gurmukẖ jih gẖat rahe samā▫ī. That Gurmukh whose heart remains merged with the Lord Riḏai basai ak▫hī▫o so▫e ras ṯin hī jāṯa▫o. The Inexpressible Lord abides in His Heart; He alone knows this joy Sabẖ ras ṯin kai riḏai hėh jin har vasi▫ā man māhi. All joy is in the hearts of those, within whose minds the Lord abides Sarbe ek anekai su▫āmī sabẖ gẖat bẖogvai so▫ī. The One Lord is pervading the many forms; He enjoys Himself in all hearts Parcẖai rām ravi▫ā gẖat anṯar asthir rām ravi▫ā rang parīṯ. ||2|| Deep within the heart, I am happy with the Pervading Lord; with love and joy, I dwell upon the Steady and Stable Lord. ||2|| Gurbani also mentions the Heart lotus or hirdai kamal I think that this could be saying that the Lord abides in our spiritual hearts and can blossom forth with kirpa to enshrine the naam. Anṯar kamal pargāsi▫ā amriṯ bẖari▫ā agẖā▫e. The lotus blossoms deep within the heart, and filled with Ambrosial Nectar, one is satisfied. Hirḏai kamal pargāsi▫ā lāgā sahj ḏẖi▫ān. The heart-lotus blossoms forth, and they intuitively center themselves in meditation The Lord is able blossom forth when our mind has been subdued and is out of thre gunn maya in chautha padh. When the veil has been lifted and the filth has been removed. Jan Nānak kamal pargāsi▫ā man har har vuṯẖ▫ṛā he. ||4|| Servant Nanak's heart-lotus has blossomed forth, and the Lord, Har, Har, has come to dwell in the mind. Ha▫umai mār kamal pargāsā. Egotism is subdued, and the heart-lotus blossoms forth. Gur kai sabaḏ kamal pargāsi▫ā ha▫umai ḏurmaṯ kẖo▫ī. Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the heart-lotus blossoms forth, and egotism and evil-mindedness are eradicated Gurbani also mentions the inverted heart lotus for the manamukh and the blossomed one for gurmukh. I think that we can also say that the lord remains firmly in place with our droplet soul/atma with his lotus feet.... Cẖaraṇ kamal basā▫e hirḏai jī▫a ko āḏẖār. ||3|| Enshrine His Lotus Feet within your heart; He is the Support of the soul. Hirḏai kamal pargāsi▫ā joṯī joṯ milā▫e. The heart-lotus blossoms forth, and one's light merges in the Light I'm not too sure but in the past I've probably used most Mind and Heart references interchangeably. I have now began to realise that may be there is a little more differentiation and maybe we should understand this. So far, I kind of think that Our MIND is what we have to try and control/subdue at first before we can begin to experience the atma/paramatma........ Once we have taken off layers of filth and freed/killed the Mind part engrossed in maya, then all that will remain is the Lord's name or shabad. At this stage, I imagine that we also create that stronger bond between the jyot saroop Mind and the hirda atman within. Man kirsāṇ har riḏai jammā▫e lai i▫o pāvas paḏ nirbāṇī. ||1|| Let your mind be the farmer; the Lord shall sprout in your heart, and you shall attain the state of Nirvaanaa. ||1|| Thus Mind is the farmer and the hirda/soul becomes enshrined and blossoms forth. Jan Nānak kamal pargāsi▫ā man har har vuṯẖ▫ṛā he. ||4|| Servant Nanak's heart-lotus has blossomed forth, and the Lord, Har, Har, has come to dwell in the mind. Suṯ sampaṯ ḏekẖ ih man garbi▫ā rām riḏai ṯe kẖo▫i▫ā. Gazing upon your children and your property, your mind is proud and arrogant; you cast out the Lord from your heart Man kā ṯosā har nām hai hirḏai rakẖahu samĥāl. The Lord's Name is the nourishment of the mind; cherish it, and preserve it carefully within your heart Gur parsādī man vasai ṯiṯ gẖat pargat ho▫e. ||5|| By Guru's Grace, the Lord comes to abide in the mind; in the heart of such a one, He is revealed. Ha▫umai mār man nirmalā har nām ur ḏẖārī. They subdue their ego, purify their minds, and enshrine the Lord's Name within their hearts. As Manmukhs we are slaves to our Mind. In the sense that we let the Mind be the Master of our whole show. Gurbani says that the Mind is like a bird always running in 10 directions, referring to our constant chasing of thoughts. We can't feel our spiritual hirda because of the 5 dhoot influenced and maya-thought engrossed Mind. The Mind puts on the veil of ego and creates the wall of duality, which itself stops us expereincing our real true self of Atma seated in the centre of hirda. As we hammer away at the filth, ego and duality walls, then the connection between the hirda and mind continues to get stronger.. BUT the mind stops running the show because there will be no ego of "me" and "I"...etc.. What happens next ??....... ..........Then, I think that our mind discovers and appreciates it's mool/source and identifies Jyot saroop. Now,.......... it stops being the master and running the show, and in turn letting the SOUL/ATMA be the Master of the MIND. GOAL IS-- To NOT let the MIND continue being the MASTER of our SOUL, but to let the SOUL/ATMA be the MASTER of MIND instead !! At this stage When the SOUL/ATMA is in the complete driving seat and not influenced by maya and 5 dhoot, then we could say that we sure are in PURE HUKAM. Pure HUKAM means that there is completely no influence of 5 dhut ...and everything is occurring outside the confines of Kaal and Maya. as for the last question posed above....... 3) Is the harmandir in the Hirda, mind or both ?? I'm not too sure !! But I would probably guess that it is both, but we have to find the jyot saroop of the mind in order to blend it and have it under the command of God atman/soul. Then, no ego comes into the play and it is all the pure hukam, and the gurmukh experiences only love, divine love. There are no feelings or emotions of joy or sad, pain or sorrow..etc.... but just divine love....and all in his sweet hukam governed by his prem and love. (tera banna mittah lageh)
  4. The comment I made is below How can my comment make me a con artist ? and to whom would i be trying to sell it ? The dancing in the video has nothing to do with the practice of yoga, and for that matter ...my comment above !
  5. I don't think that anyone has ever claimed that participating in kundalini yoga automatically makes you some sort of sikh.
  6. If it's little black beauty spots, then most people don't see them as any kind of distraction. When it's some sort of scar that appears more prominent, then it does attract a little more attention. What i'm saying is that when people look at you they won't notice the beauty spot no matter where it is, and whether you have it or not, it makes no difference how they see you. But some sort of scar usually gets noticed an you get the odd questions of ''what happened there??.....''how did you do that??''.....''that looks bad.....''.............etc.. I'm not too sure why you are getting too concerned about this, especially if it's one or two small black beauty spots. It's more of a self confidence and self awareness issue. For scars on skin you can use a silicone treatment product like ''cica-care''...... we used this on our child when they ended up with huge cut across the forehead as a toddler. Now you cannot even see it's there and the product cleared it completely in about 4 months. tumeric can also be applied directly to slightly moist skin to clear up little spots and rashes and even little insect bites...etc...(just be careful with clothing because it can stain)
  7. Some good points made here. I was going to say to stay a little calm, but you've already addressed your own awareness of krodh. Being aware, accepting and then trying to address is the core of our personal battles sometimes. In gurbani quite often is the praise of har har or ram ram, but as well as going from darkness to light, Waheguru is also saying har har and ram ram as well. I heard that people would often ask whether to say har or ram.. As per Bhai Gurdas ji vaar, the ''He'' is for Har, and ''Ru'' is for Ram. ....so you get both in there as well 'Gu'' for gobind.
  8. I think he's joking to say we don't get the reason why the riddle was given !
  9. Have i asked you any personal questions oh Lord almighty ? I have absolutely no desire to have any further discussion with yourself ..... .you may continue with whatever you want at your own leisure.

  11. Good joke ! But yes you are bang on correct about anhad naad. I just stress though that these naad are heard only with internal/sukham ears.... no one else can hear them and they come from above and behind the eyes/nose and in between ears. With regards to what simran345 is hearing... it is most likely some noise from up to a couple of miles away. It may be some kind of generator/ electric pylon even. Some of these little security huts on building sites. workplaces..etc... ususally have their own electric generators that come on at night. We live about 3 miles from a railway line that runs freight trains. I have never heard it during the day but on a clear night you can hear the long trains go through quite clearly. It surprised me the 1st time I found out that the noise was traveling that far !

  14. Who says that you have the right to JUDGE who's a sinner or a saint ? There is only ONE judge and only he does the judging.
  15. the 10 bodies of sareer like soul body, aura, pranic, energy, positive mind, negative mind, neutral,...arcline....etc.. They have varying names and sometimes, some of them are grouped together such as mind body's may be grouped as one and then you have less than 10 ! High avastha abyasees and brahmgyanis can see most of these around everyone, especially the aura, pranic and energies. They can also see/feel the atma/paramatma within all of us.
  16. When eating, do you instruct your mouth to open and the saliva to flow in order to start early stages of digestion ? Why question, just jap..... :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru:jap... Wahe-Guru.. :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru:
  17. Yep...agree about that one. You are right about the unnecessary ghand in the other 2, but the deeper morals are there. I would recommend ''Crash'' which is a real good story that shows hukam and karma all intertwined into the paths of 3 different destinies all meeting together at one point !
  18. JAP.. :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: Wahe-Guru......JAP... :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru: :waheguru:
  19. Problem with some of the young youth is that they feel that as long as they are not committing a bujjer kurehit/cardinal sin, then they can get away with other manmat actions. It's as if committing the kurehit is the 'biggie' - as you can make your amrit void and be thrown out of the panth ! Rightly so... you can be excommunicated for any of the major kurehits.. Sadly, they seem to see it like a driving licence, whereby you can go around breaking laws like speeding, jumping lights..etc... but if you do a 'biggie' (stupid speeds, reckless,dui..etc)..then your license is revoked. Being a gursikh and part of khalsa panth is not like any other organization where you can retain your membership as long as you don't play outside the set lines. Being a gursikh is about EVERY single action, reasoning, and general conduct always being GURMAT.
  20. Having straight A's is not everything. So, don't get down or depressed if you don't get them. I have come across too many straight A's who couldn't be smart or knowledgeable enough to be involved in simple communication with others in the real world. So don't ever assume that you are not good enough or that others are better than you. I should just carry on with the hard work the way you are going. Having done ardas and achieving A's with hard work previously, should encourage you to be more positive and not let it worry you. You should already have the faith restored in you from past experiences. Don't let any worrying take that faith away. All the best and good luck (edited.... as previous post may have come across as negative!)
  21. Excellent ! The bolded part is very strong and sustaining, and it should be the core with regards to the significance of marriage. A couple should be inspiring and helping bring out the best in each other in terms of spiritual qualities and closeness to Akaal purakh.
  22. The narak is your own creation and perception. If you don't like the word Waheguru, because you think it is used only by infedels/kaffirs, like muslims do, then you can continue praising allah and go to the islam forum, but stop interfering with inspirational interactions with other sikhs on here. You have been doing this since this thread started 3 yrs ago !
  23. Well, in the op shabad, there is a slightly different message of 'How to be connected with waheguru in day to day life ' ..I did some vichaar of this shabad earlier and then noticed this old thread. It's just my first attempt of what I concluded, but obviously it can be much much deeper. Each tuk and line is different and gives out a different message of qualities we need to be remembering waheguru 24/7 ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਆਨੀਲੇ ਕਾਗਦੁ ਕਾਟੀਲੇ ਗੂਡੀ ਆਕਾਸ ਮਧੇ ਭਰਮੀਅਲੇ ॥ Ānīle kāgaḏ kātīle gūdī ākās maḏẖe bẖarmī▫ale. Distractions of all the 5 thieves can loose anyone's string quite easily. Don't let anyone or anything distract that ''hold'' you may have on waheguru. Man rām nāmā beḏẖī▫ale. The ten gates are the ten gates of our body. The five miles are the 5 gyan indries or 5 senses that extend out our interactions with rest of the maya world. The calf is the source, mool, origin or atma within us. We have to take care to not let anything we see, hear, feel, speak and smell, lead us away from our true origin of truth, the mool or atma...... Kahaṯ nāmḏe▫o sunhu ṯilocẖan bālak pālan pa▫udẖī▫ale. Even when we can't be holding waheguru's name at the forefront of our internal voice as we do when doing jap in naam simran (practically)-, but when we are not doing practice of jap we may still be holding on to it in thoughts just as the mother holds baby in thoughts when physically it is not holding it practically. ....In same way, we need to acquire and recognize that Love for sachia patshah at all times and keep that bond and hold it in day to day work and rest.
