  1. One of the biggest haraami's of the music industry. Hate the guy. Someone once showed me one of his songs and it was the most disgusting things i had ever heard. Disgrace to the Punjabi language, Punjabi music, Punjabi people....just a disgrace to Punjabiyat and definitely to the name Singh. I dont condone unnecessary violence but i hope someone kicks the sh!t out of him one day.
  2. Im not Amritdhari but what you've done so far sounds like preparation to me. Keep rehat and follow maryada as if you've already taken Amrit, basically live as an Amritdhari would. See how that goes first then you'll be able to evaluate whether you're ready or not.
  3. Yeah i can imagine what his videos are like. Exactly i dont even know why he uses Singh, pure besti.
  4. We should stop Honey "Singh" from using the name Singh for starters. His songs have the most gandh ive ever heard. Bhangra is load of rubbish now, only listen to odd few old songs.
  5. Thats a good point but dont forget their other methods of teaching. Also dont forget they dont even have pictures whether they are artists representations or not.
  6. Yes but plays are an effective way of getting the message across. Look at how obsessed we are with visual media. In this day and age you'd be more likely to inspire and cause that initial spark that would lead a young person to learn more about Sikhi with a play and cinema. Actually just recently i was discussing this whole topic with my mum. We were talking about how effective series such as Mahabharat, Ramayan, shows about Krishan Ji and various other Devs and Devis have been, how well the message is put across and how much you can actually learn from them. There would be no harm in having these sorts of adaptations for more of our itihaas.
  7. Maybe we should go to the Kumbh Mela! :smile2:
  8. Did your mother ever teach you any uckal?? Doesnt seem likely.
  9. Almost every single thread you post in ends in an argument and thats because of you. Its annoying when you always ruin the discussion. Always personally attacking other members. If you just changed the way you write your posts there would be no problem Veer Ji, the thread could just carry on and we could all learn something. But no tu har vele kales pauna.
  10. Im not sure about the first picture but i don think parkash of Sri Dasam Granth is being done in any of the others. I think thats the pothi.
  11. All brilliant points above but dont most of them refer to the Mazhabi/chura community rather then the chamaar community who make up most if not all of the "Ravidassia" religion??
  12. One poster in this topic has no uckal and always ruins the thread with his bakwaas....he's always right so how can you disuss anything with him, when he's telling you something he's not just telling you, he's giving a bachan.... These kinds of people were best described by another member as ignorant arrogant self righteous cactus jacks.
  13. Have a read about Sargun-Nirgun, it makes it easier to understand things. I dont think you can put Sikhi into any one of these categories entirely. Have a read about Panetheism as well. Sikhi should be its own category, thats how unique and amazing it is! :smile2:
  14. You've reminded me of a story from when i used to watch Ramayan on t.v. I only vaguely remember it; Raam and Lakshman visit this old lady who has a lot of sharda in her heart towards Raam. She hand picks fruit before his arrival and takes a bite out of each one to ensure they get only the sweetest. When she offers it to Raam, Lakshman points out its jhoota but Raam still eats it and says something about prem and sharda. Just a thought... P.S. Ramayan was brilliant!
  15. Spot on!! Thankfully like i said im no longer 100% against it and im gonna try to continue to understand it further and i hope those who do keep it try to understand themselves why they are keeping it then it will be happy days! :D
  16. Im still not sure i understand bibek but ive learned it depends on the individual keeping it and what their interpretation of it is. From being 100% against it im now 50-50 as I try to understand why people keep it. Although some people definitely take it over the top and thats when accusations of Bhaman-vaad start flying around. The following situation always comes to mind when talking about this subject I was attending a function where there were Amritdharis and non-Amritdharis alike and the food was being served by Amritdharis, naturally. After finishing my food my empty tray was on the table , some Amritdharis sat down to eat, one had a drink poured for themselves and it ever so slightly touched my empty tray and they refused to drink it as if it had now been tainted or poisoned in some way. I was quite shocked and it actually made me feel quite down. I felt worthless. My point is other peoples empty trays had been right where the glass was, droplets of food had been spilled there, they could well have been from a used tray. I know what jhooth is but what was this?? What makes this situation go against bibek?? What was now wrong with the drink??
  17. I already told you its up to you whether or not you believe me, if i was gonna give their name i would have already. Yes you have a point but a normal person would maybe not say anything further whereas a Brahmgiani would. Veer Ji that was a joke. It was also an inside joke with another member. Anyway we make all discussions far too serious here so a little humour doesnt hurt. Even if it wasnt an inside joke its still quite obvious that i was joking, especially seeing as my name is Mr "Doaba". To explain further people from Doaba and Malwa tend to joke around with each other, boasting that their respective regions are better. It was also a reference to the many divides we have and how this is one of them and how im also a part of it. Yet i dont take it seriously, instead i take a more humorous approach to it. The other things which made it clear i was joking was the smiley and the fact i wrote "haha!!" Sorry if you were offended but you need to loosen up. Assuming you're from Malwa and seeing as you didnt understand that i was joking, my orginal joke has just been reinforced! :tongue2: <<<< Im JOKING!!!!!!! Sorry but this is just not true. You rarely, if ever, be respectful in your posts.
  18. Aacha ji teek ah N30S1NGH Sahib. The shariapanthi sampradaya has really taken off though, dont you think?! Haha!
  19. So if a Brahmgiani is all knowing does that mean they wont ask questions?? If they dont need to ask questions then why talk at all?? Like i said they laughingly asked what it is and someone answered properly. It doesnt matter who they were, they were a true Brahmgiani. Its up to you whether you believe my kahani or not. Even a moorakh like me will never forget being in their company, i was shown what a Gursikh actually is, the term Gursikh took on a whole new meaning. Again, its entirely up to you whether or not you believe me, frankly i dont give a toss. Ive already said im not getting into a deep discussion about Christmas trees. I respect your opinion so please respect mine. Why are you always so disrespectful in all your posts?? Have you no uckal?? Why do you always try to insult other members?? Why do you think your answers, views and opinions are always right and why do you think they are the only right ones?? Seems as if you're the one who thinks of themselves as a Brahmgiani. "These Brahmgyanis..." tere ley menu sharam lagdi ne. Aap ne aap nu enhna clever na samanj praavaa.
  20. Hmmm tuadi gall vi say ah. A Christmas tree isnt an exclusively Christian symbol now anyway. Im not gonna bother getting into a deep disscusion over Christmas trees, ive already put mine up, it looks nice and i like it, ive seen some Chardi Kala Gursikhs with Christmas trees and ive heard what a Brahmgiani said about them so thats it for me. When its time to put it up again i will do. Merry Christmas!! Saari sangatan nu Bhagat Jesus Ji de janam din te boht boht Vadhaian!! :D
  21. He said something about how people give eachother presents and put them under the tree and how it links to St.Nicholas. Anyway it doesnt matter, my point was it was made clear to Brahmgiani Ji that it has nothing to do with Sikhi and Jesus was mentioned but it still didnt seem to be a problem. I always knew people from Malwa were moorakhs!! Haha!! :poke:
  22. This much debate over a Christmas tree?! Jesus!! (pun intended) In the last week with Maharaj's kirpa i got to spend a few days in the company of a true Brahmgiani. One Gursikh who we visited had a Christmas tree in his living room, they asked laughingly what it is and a sevadaar explained the story about St.Nicholas and how he did seva of giving presents to the poor children as well as how its linked to Jesus' birthday. They also said that its just something people do here. Brahmgiani Ji just nodded and said "teek a". :D I'll should also mention it wasnt the only Gursikh household which had a tree. People seriously need to chill out. Next you'll be saying Christmas trees are an RSS conspiracy.
