  1. Nigel Farage in a recent interview with Trevor Phillips said that a UKIP government would scrap anti - discrimination and race relations legislation. Sikhs should not form alliances with white closet racists, even if they sometimes flatter and praise us for our 'contribution to society.'
  2. In October just gone I came across a Singh who converted to Christianity just outside Darbar Sahib and was wearing a nihang bana and dastar. I started debating with him as to why he converted and why he was still wearing the Guru's bana, and my family thought I was being harsh. But harshness aside, Christians, Muslims and Hindus are making inroads into Punjab whilst we sit back and say 'koi na.' This is mainly the fault of the Sikh establishment ie jathedars and sgpc
  3. sikhsangat or any blog isnt the place to post about marital issues or naming and shaming,
  4. If you look at any rebel, militant or even terrorist group - there is always an estimate given in terms of how many fighters they have. But when it comes to the armed sangarsh, there doesn't appear to be a breakdown in the numerical strength of Kharku Jathebandi's anywhere. Is there a reference out there or does anyone know about how many Singhs joined each group, especially during the height of the movement.? It would be useful for all to know, especially as the period between 1984 and 1995 forms a key part of our history!
  5. We don't live in the 17th century where countries make their money by taking over other countries and redirecting their resources. Sure there is deception and exploitation but it's of a different kind to what you posted......and with all due respect veeray.............the current Iraq crisis isn't due to one big 'conspiracy theory.'Wars today cost billions and the cost isn't recompensed by Halliburton style rebuilding projects. In the 1980s the Soviet Union was financially bled dry by the cost of the Afghanistan War. The US have spent billions fighting two small wars in the last decade. Countries like the US want to maintain and look after their own self interests, and will only fight small manageable wars. The world is like a game of chess and the west or Israel can ill afford a Middle East which threatens to engulf the entire region. The US are not stupid and they will not directly or indirectly support jihadis who want to wage war against kafirs. They have safeguarded Israel and the production of oil by giving aid to Middle East regimes but the Arab Spring have changed the dynamics of the region which now threaten not only Israel, but the interests of the West there and the geopolitical balance in the Middle East.
  6. I don't think the West can afford to support a Sunni Shia divide and allow extremists to take control of large swathes of land. Security agencies are concerned about hardened western jihadis who are fighting in Syria and Iraq, only to return and wage their jihad in the west. The Middle East provides a large amount of the Worlds oil and what the west needs in the Middle East is stability. The entire notion of the US supporting sectarianism and jihadis in Iraq is the same as shooting yourself in the foot, because those jihadis hate everything the west stands for.
  7. its happening everywhere and is a sign of impending parlo
  8. sant ka nindak maha hathiyara sant ka nindak parmesar maara
  9. Bachans of Mahapurkhs like Baba Thakur Singh Jee and abhiyasi singhs
  10. Very very soon. But Khalsa Raaj will be preceded by a third world war and pole shift which means that most of us (especially those who do bad things) will not see it. If you look closely enough, you can see warning signs of both events with the increasingly extreme weather that occurs and world tensions. Personally, I would be wary of the person in the video as there was another video of him criticising Sant Jee and the singhs of 1984.
  11. Its too late now panthic updates, the panth wont forgive gurbachan singh, even Bhai Gurbaksh Singh in his latest video has exposed how gurbachan singh has lied
  12. This petition or viewpoint should be made VIRAL. What jathedar stays quiet to please his political masters whilst a Gursikh starves himself to death for the release of our brothers. A revolution first starts at home and we need to get our own house in order. The first step is to refuse to recognise a so-called jathedar who has served the panth on a plate to Badal. The second step is to influence sangat within your circles, The third step is to BOYCOTT him wherever he goes. Only the sangat can send this message, THAT WE ARE AN INDEPENDENT QUAM WHO WILL NOT YIELD TO THE PUNJAB/INDIAN GOVERNMENT OR SUCCUMB TO IT'S STOOGES, WHETHER THATS BADAL OR GURBACHAN SINGH. Jaago Singho!!
  13. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Jee has been on a hunger strike for over 20 days demanding the release of Sikh political prisoners for time served. Their conviction and determination is unparalleled. Whilst we sit in relative comfort, the least that we can ALL do is a minimum of 10 CHAUPAI SAHIBS every day for his chardi kalla and the success of this morcha. Bhai Sahib has probably started to feel the effects of severe malnutrition whilst we cannot decide on a clear strategy and direction. By placing our faith in Maharaaj and reading Gurbani, they will bless the Panth with success. Whether we recite Chaupai sahibs or just listen to them, lets start today for Bhai Sahibs chardi kalla...
  14. Thats not true as baani clearly say 'prabh ke simran ridh sidh nau nidh. Ridhian sidhian is also a different type of magic/spiritual power that a person develops through kamaii. Black magic on the otherhand does exist but the basic premise is that it comes back three fold on the person who does it. It CAN be done by getting someones picture, just how some people use voodoo dolls to focus on the person they wish to curse. But again, by doing simran, reading gurbani can negate or dramatically reduce the effects as nothing can compare to Guru Sahibs protection Sukhmani sahib is extremely effective in countering any negative effects caused by it.
  15. We all talk about the issue of grooming by predominantly Muslim men but lets look at the root of the problem. "It is for these reasons, and many more not listed, that I conclude that while treating the slave girl with compassion is mandatory, consent for sex is not a part of that obligation. Islam does not mention anywhere that consent is mandatory, and everything is allowed in Islam except what has been forbidden. Also, certain actions towards a slave which may considered to be harsh, such as beating the slave, are only forbidden if it is done unjustly - like if the slave accidentally burns your food. Obviously a slave has to obey his or her master, and that discipline is in order for those who refuse to comply. So force can be used on a slave. If this wasn't allowed, there never would have been such thing as slavery in the first place since all slaves would have ran away and their masters could do nothing to stop it. The above Hadith mentions that the wife must goto the husband no matter what (ie, that she doesn't have a choice). Now if the wife does not have a choice, do you expect that a slave will have a better or even equal option?" http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/showthread.php?36750-Sex-slaves-in-Islam The above quote is just one of many views from Muslims who feel that women can be used as war booty. This is more apparent in the context of Muslim men who believe that they are fighting a global jihad against the kuffirs and feel that any action is justified. In public any Muslim representative would probably use taqiya (lie) to make out that grooming or sex-trafficking are against the tenets of Islam, but doctrine and history of Islam would perhaps say otherwise. Not being anti-Muslim as there are many sincere Muslims out there who value compassion and humanity - but we need to realise that sex jihad, inequality of women, hatred of kuffrs, killing non-muslims, spreading terror and so on......are not the views of a small minority of extremists,,, but has alot to do with the fundamentals of Islam and the meanings of parts of the Quran. Qur'an (33:50) - "O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those (slaves) whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee" This is one of several personal-sounding verses "from Allah" narrated by Muhammad - in this case allowing himself a virtually unlimited supply of sex partners. Others are restrained to four wives, but may also have sex with any number of slaves, as the following verse make clear: Qur'an (23:5-6) - "..who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess..." This verse permits the slave-owner to have sex with his slaves.
  16. 1. Who was doing the hijacking? Hijacking buses and killing Hindu's was against the ethos of the dharam yudh morcha. Neither Sant Jee nor any panthic jathebandi advocated or directed the killing of innocent people. In fact in was common knowledge within panthic circles that the government was carrying out these atrocities to defame the Sikh movement. This was even admitted by the former DGP of police Ribeiro in his book. 2. The morcha was spearheaded from Sr Akaal Takht Sahib and the singhs were staying at the complex with consent of the quam. The allegation of 'terror tactics' is again classic government propaganda. 3. Where was marble cut or deliberate damage caused to the complex in preparation of the incoming attack? Sandbags were used for fortifications and no one could outweigh the respect given to the complex by the singhs who chose to die defending it, 4. The government attacked to destroy the strength and confidence of the sikhs. Take your koorh parchar somewhere else..
  17. Dr Gurnam Singh, I don't agree with some of your comments for the following reasons. What Sant Jarnail Singh Jee said in reference to the 'foundation stone of Khalistan' was not empty words or scare tactics, but rather a bachan from a Maharapurkh, who saw the wider picture of what was being played out. This bachan was emphasised by the thousands of singhs and singhniya who have sacrificed their lives for this cause. In 1986 the Sarbat Khalsa set Khalistan as the goal of the Sikh nation. There is no going back and the only way to safeguard our rights is through self rule. This should have been embedded into our thought process especially through the cultural genocide and human rights abuses we have suffered post 1984. Whether we wish to accept it or not, our quam is in a fight for survival in India. Unfortunately there are some who still think we can 'make a go of it' in Hindustan and Manjit Singhs comments rub salt in the wounds. No one can predict Khalistans' borders, just like the misl's who fought for their survival could not foresee Ranjit Singh's raaj. But Guru Sahib and their mahapurakhs have assured us that one day the Khalsa will have Raaj and this day is not far. In the meanwhile we should strengthen our jeevans and work for the benefit of the panth. Personally I don't think that Manjit Singh is sincere in his thoughts for the following reasons. Sukhbir Singh was denied entry into Canada which was followed by the arrests of dozens of youths in Punjab on fabricated charges. Then Manjit Singh is sent as part of an Indian delegation to woo Khalistani's in the UK. Manjit Singh is a spokesman of Badal and is playing politics by asking Sikhs to stand with the SAD-BJP alliance. Manjit Singh, knowing the sentiments of Sikhs has portrayed himself as a proud Hindustani and has sought to downplay Sant Jee's character and vision by saying that he was manipulated by Congress. As Sikhs, we should not fall prey to petty politics that have been played out since 1947 and should rise above it. Furthermore veer jee, in a separate comment linked to this topic, you said that Sikhs involve themselves in 'ritualistic meditation' and 'fancy dress.' The sole command of Guru Granth Sahib Jee is 'jap' and nothing can be achieved without meditation or kamaii, great Gursikhs of the past bear testament to that. There is nothing 'ritualistic' about reading bani or doing simran. The bana which I think you're referring to is the uniform of the Khalsa given by Guru Gobind Singh Jee and should not be referred to as 'fancy dress.' Without sharda in Guru Sahib we will never get anywhere. Bhul chuk maaf
  18. Please check out the below link including related articles, and see how Christian missionaries are actively targeting the Sikh community worldwide. Unfortunately there is a rising trend of Sikhs converting due to lack of knowledge/awareness of Sikhi. They have a dedicated website - www.sikhoutreach.org http://www.commissionstories.com/asia/stories/view/sikh-pastor-has-a-vision-of-transformation Sikh people are open to the Gospel, Singh says. “Sikh people need Jesus, and Sikh people are in search of God, but they just need a little bit indication that this is the true way,” Singh says. “Whenever they come to Christ, they come in full faith. They will not slide back.”
  19. I've been in loads of fights with muslims from when I was younger, that includes ending up in hospital, so I'd disagree about the 'sheltered life' view you have and I'm sure many else will given their own experiences. If we're truly worried about the 'spread of Islam' and think the answer is siding with white vigilante gangs or acting like gangsters, then we need to have more faith in Guru Sahib. No doubt there are loads of Muslim extremists and we've all seen what their mission is, but we need to focus and gain strength of reading baani and following Maharaaj. Having said that, respect to groups who have protected the honour of our community, against anyone who wishes to harm it. By following Maharaaj, that's where singhs get their strength. But agree with you that there are too many pappu's in the community, we see them come out of the woodwork when the youth protest or do something for a worthwhile cause.
  20. The people here advocating hate of muslims, understand one thing. When muslims killed millions of hindus during moghul raaj, none of the Guru Sahibaans preached hate towards one religion. Instead they raised the sword against the tyrant, regardlesss of what religion the tyrant followed, whether it was the moghuls, afghans, or hindu hill rajas. Their actions set a precedent for us to follow.
  21. Maharaaj has given the panth the gift of khande pahul di daat and the ability to stand on our own two feet. Guru Gobind Singh Jee has made his Khalsa fight 125,000. We don't need to rely on others for support. When the 2011 riots happened the Sikhs were out protecting places of worship where the edl were no where to be seen. Sikhi teaches us to be 'nirvair' - without hate. This principle is against the ethos of the edl who are anti - islam in every way, shape or form. Therefore when it comes to the edl, sikhs don't need to join the pro or anti camps. By doing so, it shows that we are moving away from the principles of gurmat and having faith in maharaaj
  22. The rumour about Sant Jee being a 'congress agent' was started by Longowal and the Akali's, who resented the impact that Sant Jee had on the masses. However none of Sant Jee's actions or words have given any substance to this rumour. People nowadays who do not like or understand what Sant Jee stood for - propagate this myth to give comfort to their over inflated ego's.
  23. you can't get to sachkhand without taking amrit. in 1699 even dasmey patshah too amrit, that shows us how necessary it is.

    Bachans

Gurbani says 'Ik saadh bachan atladha' Brahmgiani mahapurkhs from Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee Baba Jawala Singh Jee and more recently Baba Thakur Singh Jee have given bachans about World War 3 and immense environmental changes before Khalsa Raaj. These bachans should not be dismissed and fall into a different category than the usual 'crackpot prophecies' that we can google in an instant. Specific dates have not been given as the dates fluctuate between the amount of beadbi happening and compassionate ardaasa of kamaii wale Gursikhs who do not want to see this level of carnage. But one thing for sure is that the timing cannot be be delayed any further. Baba Amar Singh Jee released a video about all this happening in 1997 and gave specific dates which were meant to be kept gupt. A Brahmgiani Mahapurkh did ardaas in order to delay it. Since and before then there have been random predictions all the time but nothing to back it up. In 2012 there was a big 'end of the world' hype but no Mahapurkh named 2012 as a specific year. However, kamai wale Singhs and Mahapurkhs have said that it will happen in the next few years, this topic is evidence of that. The aboveveer jee I quoted has made some valid points. We shouldn't just sit around and wait for all this to happen and should get on with our lives. But on the same token we have been told to prepare by increasing our nitnem, getting baani kant, keeping shasters and basic survival skills. Whether we believe in these bachans or not, in Sikhi we are meant to be tyar bar tyar so ill-preparedness is not an excuse.
