Ooooh, thank you so much for the links, that's awesome. And I just wanna say one thing to the person above me - there's a difference between justice and revenge - revenge doesn't help anybody. With Waheguru's kirpa the victims of 1984 will finally get justice, but revenge... c'mon you guys, you know our guru's did not teach us to seek revenge. I do not wish to offend anybody. But revenge is all about hate, and Sikhs are all about love, that's how I feel, and I'll stop now before I make a whole bunch of ppl mad at me.....

WJKK, WJKF I have alot of questions about Sikhi, and I was hoping I could get some answers. These things have sort of been bugging me for a while... My first question is about Sikh history. Where do all the stories come from? I mean, I know that alot of stories have just been passed down from generation to generation, but that can't just be it, can it? Are there records or something from way back from our gurujis' times that tell of what happened? Next - what is the Hukamnama? I know that probably sounds like a really stupid question, but I honestly don't know. Also, in the Guru Granth Sahib, what does it say about taking amrit? As in, what are our expectations, or what are the rules? A direct quote would be nice. :lol: And finally, someone told me that Guru Gobind Singh ji does not have any banis in the Guru Granth Sahib, but in my english-roman gutka it says that Anand Sahib, I think, was written by Guru Gobind Singh. Confused!

I can't believe some of you guys are advising him to fight! As a Sikh, you have to represent our beliefs and values. Sikhs don't start fights just because somebody says some crap about them. We all have to deal with that, wherever we are in the world, whoever we are. It's not as big a deal as you think. You think people haven't said stuff about me? If someone starts a physical fight with you, by all means, DEFEND yourself, but never ever start an unneccessary fight. Remember, Sikhs aren't supposed to let their anger gain control over them. We're supposed to be humble, self-controlled. Not only that, but if you do decide to fight you will have to face HUGE consequences. Suspension, expulsion, are possibilities, plus some people will probably gang up on you, etc. Don't fight, man! Violence isn't the way!!! BE STRONG!!!

I don't agree with everything they tell the youth, but the thing is sikhnet is doing a great seva with all the resources they provide for the community.

Aaaaaaaarrrghhhhh........ I feel like that too, so so often! It's just so much stress... ... and yet it's a blessing from God. Stress, sadness - it makes us stronger, brings us closer to God, makes us appreciate so much more, makes us better people because it teaches us to feel empathy for others that are going through their own problems. Your right, everything is SO messed up! That's what this world is, buddy! But then if it wasn't messed up what would be the use of heaven? I know this is off topic but..... down with animal cruelty!!!! :umm: I would rather trust God to not let humanity drift to extinction (or maybe let it drift to extinction if that's God's Will) than 'let off' a few rabbits and chimps. They're still living beings with souls and feelings... it isn't right to let them suffer! Sorry Sinister, didn't mean to fire off like that, I'm just really sensitive when it comes to the issue of animal cruelty. As for cloning - I think it's okay to clone plants, I mean it can be done very naturally, no big deal. But cloning PEOPLE and ANIMALS - definitly, definitly, definitly going to cause problems. I don't trust the idea of cloning people one little bit, never will, and I could go on and on about why but I won't. Ok, so there's my two cents. :lol:

I think I read somewhere that when Sikh soldiers were off fighting in the World War they used to carry around very mini versions of the Guru Granth Sahib....
