What's the point of this post, there is no point. I am from a Sikh family, I remember an aunty, her sons are Hindus, they believe in ganesh, but they are Punjabi. They go to the gurdwara, go to the mandir, and they dont' see any difference. Punjabi Hindus are basically the same family as Sikh Punjabis, they speak our mother tongue, they have similar culture, traits. Punjabi Hindus have plenty to be proud about, not just because of their Sikh religionists, but that they are from the Land of Faqirs, Pirs, and Gurus.

I think I am just speaking from a person who has friends who are Jews, who has followed the Israeli-Palestine issue for a long time. The Israelites basically are bombed repeatedly by suicide bombers, and other missles on a monthly basis, I mean both sides are at fault. I have a quick question to all of the people, how can you support Hamas or Hizbollah, if you read the history of the Jews, or Israel, you'll be like wow, how did this one small country stand up to all these Arabs. There's a reason why Israel is one of the strongest countries in the world, military wise for their size, its becasue they had to be. Anyhow, once again, the fighting should end, as countless innocents are being slaughtered for no reason.

I believe war is wrong, but I think both sides are at fault. The Palestians keep bombing Israel and expect no response, and the Palestians are supporting extremists. Both sides need to work it out and resolve through means peacefully.

Hi Kamal Singh, I am from Vancouver myself, if you are a youth, here's a couple of places for you to talk and get a better indepth of knowledge of Sikhism. Try Sukh Sagar Gurdwara in New Westminister, this gurdwara is pretty much very youth oriented, and the head preacher - Bhai Bikramjit Singh is like a Saint in my eyes, he's very pro-youth, and he's a young guy himself. He'll definitely be able to help you out further. The next thing to do would be to check out Yoga West on West Broadway and Alma or something, basically its actually a yoga center that has a gurdwara and you'll see many people who have adopted the Sikh faith, there. You might people who were sort of in a similar situation like yourself, and changed their lives by using the Sikh faith. Anyhow if you have any questions, please feel free to pm me. I went to Baru Sahiab and stayed a week there, and I found there were a number of children who were not sikhs, but wore turbans. I dont understand the hubaloo, the school is a Sikh Institution, if you want to study there, you have to wear a turban, end of story. If you dont' want to follow the rules, go somewhere else. Its as simple as that. These schools are free for children or of negligible costs. Baru Sahiab - Akal Society is the only society that is actively promoting Sikhi in India. Before I go on, I am a mona kona, my 2 cousins who used to cut their hair, in fact, my whole family are barbers, so I am just saying the kids who go there, you can't find that type of quality of a kid anywehre in the world. My 2 cousins were born in Canada, went to baru sahiab, kept amrit for the last 3 years, they were mona konais too. Baru Sahiab Zindiabad.

Dear Sangat Ji, I work for the govt, and they are posting my position, and so I am just worried that if I dont get this job, I'll lose a year and half of my life. Hi Jassika, I was really amazed by all the various stalls at the Surrey Nagar Kirtan, and I think next year I really want to do something as well. I am looking at maybe just getting ice cream or something, maybe buying like something what kids would want to eat. But I think another thing I might also give in a stall is Katha CDS or gurbani cds.
