He writes " Kaafir(sikhs) were so coward that they never came face-to-face fight in fact they fired from distance and killed brave soldiers" In battle of panipat Ahmad Shah used to travel 46 miles to every post to check the position and he took 3 days to reach Amritsar from Lahore which has distance of just 30-40 miles. Sikhs were terror for Ahmad Shah.
