  1. Ironic (and this is pointed out by the responding tweeter), he at once sees it as a problem that Sikhs are being pacified, and also wants them to stop reading Dasam Bani. The one poster is correct in saying that youth in the West mostly all read Dasam Bani. Do any of you know of Western born Sikhs who hate Dasam Bani? It's mostly clueless uncles who think too much of themselves that have taken up a campaign against the Dasam Granth Sahib.
  2. Ok that's very silly. What is silly? That only Sant Kartar Singh was hardcore? Or not cutting your hair is silly?
  3. He's mashing together random things to desperately prove what he thinks, which is something he learned as a defense mechanism at the Lawrence School in fealty to Christians. 1. Tegh is not Indic. It is Persian. But that doesn't matter. And it also shows his lack of knowledge. 2. It's true that the words Fateh and Zorawar are Abrahmanic, but that doesn't make Baba Fateh Singh ji and Zorawar Singh ji Abrahamic. 3. Rabb doesn't mean teacher. It means owner or lord. Mohammed prohibited the use of the word for earthly masters. 4. To say that the "Wahe" of Waheguru is "Wahid" is not a fact, but rather a claim, one which he has failed to prove. Now I can demonstrate etymology of words that change over time, for example: Brahmin -> Bahmin Kshatri -> Khatri by showing them both used in the same meaning and context. But can he show "Wahid Guru" being used anywhere to demonstrate his claim that the D dropped off and it became Wahiguru?
  4. Which is exactly what I was going to post to the OP. We wear kachhera in obedience to Guru ji's hukum. If we can't because it's not available, then we have to make do until we can. And if you had just posted that, no one would have layed into you. But you didn't. Because you had to make a display of your ego thinking that you're better than the OP and the rest of us because you contemplate Gurbani. And in your mind, the rest of us don't. I have news for you: You're not as much an accomplished spiritualist as you think you are. Your first post in this thread just wreaks of hankar. "Maybe I'm just weird." Fake humility. What you really mean is "I'm so great." Take another look at the Gurbani that you claim to contemplate so much. And work on your ego.
  5. Also: 1. The fact that there's a robe with Islamic inscriptions on it at Dera Baba Nanak does not mean that that was the robe worn by Guru Sahib to Mecca. Rather, it is believed to be the robe gifted to Guru Sahib as obeisance by the Muslims because they realized they were messing with God himself. In return, Guru Sahib gifted them their kharavan (wooden shoes). Guru ji's shoes are higher than any gift any mere human could hope to give the Satguru. 2. "teachings are close to Islam"? Really? That's like saying two circles that intersect each other and touch at two points. And that's the amount of "closeness" between Islam and Sikhi.
  6. Go ahead and do what you want. May Guru Sahib give you the sojhi to understand that you are not more clever than Guru ji, thinking that kakkars mean nothing. Oh, also, would you have the audacity to make fun of Guru's kakkars in the very presence of Guru Gobind Singh ji?
  7. Thanks. If I did, I'd want to be rid of it. I think this guy lives for likes by "Abrahamics".
  8. Just speechless. 1. Just for explanation: "Sanawarian" refers to the fact that this fellow is a graduate of the Lawrence School, in Sanawar, HP, established 1847. You can see that he must be steeped in worship of the British and their ways. Similar for Stephenian (there are a number of prominent St. Stephens schools). Some Sikhs manage to go to those schools with their Sikhi intact. Others become Christians on the inside. 2. Jewish, Christian, Islamic, and Sikh unity? When those other religions don't have unity, how can they have it with us? 3. Sikhs are not Dharmics, but rather Dharmo-Semitics? At some point, I'm guessing he'll just drop the "Dharmo". Dharam means duty. The question is what duty? Duty to grow fat on Shudras like Brahmins do? Or duty to remember God as Sikhs are called to? We are Dharmic, but our dharam is different from the Hindus. Bachittar Natak says that Guru ji came for the purpose of "dharam chalavan" (to propagate dharam).
  9. Please do post those videos. You are doing good seva by making us all aware of this nonsense. This is so anti-Gurmat. Btw, did the weakling Raagis also do keertan of the part of Asa di Vaar where Guru Sahib satirizes the practice of Muslims burying the dead? And all the other Gurbani where Guru Sahib absolutely slams Islam (and the Brahmins, too)? Next our weakling Sikhs will want to "edit" Guru Granth Sahib ji.
  10. They already are "Halal occupies a place of eminent respect and venerability in Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Sikh religion." OMG. What? Our soft brothers are so soft I don't know how they even walk. Thank you so much for pointing all this nonsense out. "Halal" most certainly does not occupy a "place of respect in the Sikh religion". Halal literally means "allowed". But Islam has no clue as to what is truly allowed by God or not. What is allowed in Gurmat is different from what is allowed in Islam. And it is most certainly not just differences in butchering animals. Among other things, Islam "allows" holding sex slaves.
  11. Could you post a link to the full composition? Or just post it here. (Please don't post it to scribd).
  12. Is the "J" key on your keyboard malfunctioning and outputting "W" instead?
  13. Yeah, I guess you are. People don't spend time on it, normally. People just wear their kakkars. And they put their focus on Gurbani. This is a situation where you can't get supplies. Does the OP have Redoptics permission to ask around? Indeed, why aren't you doing paath instead of posting on message boards? Oh, perhaps you think Guru Sahib is "weird", too, for originally giving the command for kachhera.
  14. "Kill those who call Islam violent" is their slogan. They're already doing it to schools and colleges. Once they get them under control, they'll cast their evil gaze towards us. Don't give them any ideas, bro. But you're right. Our people are so weak of mind, that they'd actually go for something like that.
  15. I'll grant that, bro. But, also, on the road to power, it's just made so much easier if the people you have to crush are also people you have a personal, irrational hatred of. I'll chime in and add one more "beef" she had with the Sikhs: During the commemoration of the Shaheedi of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, she was invited to Sees Ganji Sahib. Some of the weakling Sikhs involved in politics stood up when she came in, a violation of protocol because Guru Granth Sahib ji was already there. The Damdami jatha (Sant Kartar Singh ji) was there and he spoke forcefully that in the Guru's Darbar you are not to stand up for any worldly ruler, no matter how powerful they might be. She took that as a personal insult, and I do believe that she had it in the back of her mind to destroy the Damdami Taksal jatha at some point or another. Later on, many of her evil designs came to a head, and she thought she'd kill many birds with one stone.
  16. You're right. Kirpan is not a symbol. (Not calling for violence, just saying that Guruji didn't call us to be wimps. We can't even stand for our Panth.)
  17. What? Are these Sikhs crazy? It's one thing to have langar at the Gurdwara and allow anyone and everyone to come to eat. It's another thing to go to a mosque! And feel them there. What are they thinking? And all that while they're cursing the Sikh hand that feeds them. The next thing you know, they'll be buying Halal meat to serve to them, exactly what Guru Gobind Singh ji banned. (It doesn't matter if you buy Halal meat or you slowly bleed the animal to death yourself.) Oh, and Sikh Coalition tweeting approvingly of all this? Just goes to show you that our institutions are filled with mushy liberals who would have opened the gates to Anandpur Sahib rather than fight. Because you wouldn't want to upset the Muslims.
  18. "Your Seva volunteers learned a few days ago that Sikh families were asked to convert by a church pastor if they wanted help during the Covid19 lockdown." This is so evil. It's one thing to ask someone to give up destructive habits like drinking before you help them, but it's depraved to ask them change their faith or you'll just let them die. This is the first time I've heard of this "Your Seva" group. Is it legit? Does it post full accounts of its expenditures? I'm feeling it's a much better use of Sangat's money than ahem, you know. The one that just helps members of the Panth as publicity so their funding doesn't dry up. Frankly, I don't feel like helping out others (esp. enemies) as long as one member of the Panth goes to sleep hungry. Who agrees?
  19. What?! Is that a thing? I mean, it's fine for us, but you know the other crew are getting a free 25% to add to Jihadi "charities".
  20. Deception is despicable. Thanks for highlighting this, bro.
  21. Well put. Like in the Gurbani I posted above, recognize who Guru ji thinks you should have as your friends (Gurmukhs, Satguru, and God): O Brother, my friend is only God.
  22. Look, bro, the point is if we tell Sikhs Muslims aren't your friends, then they won't even get to the point of marriage. The message is: treat them like anybody else in the workplace, but don't go out of your way to make friends with them. In other words, stay your distance.
  23. Exactly. In a workplace environment, just treat them just like every other co-worker. It's just that you don't have to have an outside-the-workplace friendship with them.
  24. This just goes to show you cannot keep your house something that is going to end up killing you. But that's exactly what Maharaja Ranjeet SIngh did, due to his own failings. And the wild animals within ended up devouring his kingdom. Thinking that they wouldn't just because he had raised them up was the height of ignorance.
  25. Why not goldsmith? You're saying why not trust a goldsmith? Because goldsmiths (suniara) are known for substituting a tiny amount of base metal into the gold. After a while, that adds up to a lot of gold on the side. A theft of huge proportions.
