Well dear bro i have been there alot of time and if u are talking of sarai of hazoor sahib i have seen that too... then check the sarai newly made by SGPC at golden temple for NRI's check the facilities there... why coz NRI gives dollars as donation so what is this all.... why they treat different to NRI people.... why u feel that NRI should be treated diferently, shouldnt there be equality there there is no reason for criticizing anything... regarding that car?? well u can take it this way...if somebody is a big officer of a firm the company provides him the facilities like house car etc... the only thing is here things gets highlighted more rest as mentioned by another veerji, forget about any trust etc and go urself and consume money urself and help things up urself so that no doubt could be there... other the indian system everybody knows that how much corrupt it is... so my suggestion that go ahead for urself and do the needful with ur donation and this is really required that things should actually reach the people.... i was jst letting know what i see and wat is going on....

Sorry to give my views again.... but if Indian prospective is considered, india has the lowest divorce rate in the world and if we consider the western view where peoplelive together to know each other first and then marriage still ou will find maximum divorce rate there.... so what couldbe the solution?? i dont want to suggest anything to u or comment coz that would have become a personal thing and which i dont like saying...... peace fateh

I am sorry if something has offended to anybody, but the limited amount of information put on that case made mereply that, infact no indepth was written so that i could have known the exact case. I agree to that extent that when only divorce is the only way out. maybe since the exact problem wasnt mentioned to i could have thoguht of the same reasons with which I find people gets divorce these days without compromising. again i msorry

Now u started questioning why there are not pctures in guru granth sahib ji?? do u have any motive in your life. The amount of efforts put bykharkoo till this time, you would have been in some gurmat institute by now to learn gurbani so that u can really reply to kharkoo on the topic on which u actually rasing the question and i found that you dont have any knowledge of gurbani as u dont cite any gurbani references in ur replies and supports. Agree with your post..... I have lived in amritsar too and have lived in sarai on one of my trips..... The srvices you told do exist but their standard is poor. One bus drives passengers from railway station to darbar sahib and it is crowded. Moreover it hardly cost Rs. 15 to go by an autorickshaw or rickshaw........ About sarai..... the beddings are soiled and not washed properly, plus to get a room you need to have links and make few calls (i got one through my friend's dad). The budget of SGPC runs into crores and nealry half of it is for petrol and transportation expenditures for members. You can judge for yourself from the condition of most of the historical gurudwaras under SGPC in punjab. Even the karsewa at darbar sahib is carried out by babas. As for your friend wanting to make contributions, balwinder singhji, ask him to spend his money with humantarian agencies, pingalwara, cry, or provide langars for poor and stuff like that. Guru ji said the mouth of a poor is guru's golak...... Spend his money where others dont. Lot of people do sewa for darbar sahib, which is good thing, but nobody cares of poor. Donate to orphanage, gur asra trust..... if someone really wants to donate for the cause of it and not to get their name etched on the marble in darbar sahib and get a picture taken, they can find lot of poor people all over the country....... I was moved deeply when i sat into a rickshaw being pulled by this really old guy..... he work daily to earn 2 times of food in amritsar, guru ki nagri, whether its 49 degrees C, or freezing -4 degrees. Find out about the various organisations and donate to them..... Your forget the basic concept that in India everybody sitting at higher position is chor..... yes I myself is very much angry of what u said that you get rooms on sifarish etc etc... but I find it good that they are improving things for everybody and managing guruduwaras all over India is also their responsibility, dont consider example ofgolden temple, see all other guruduwaras and facilites they are providing now for the pilgrims etc. Yes its not that SGPCis wrong, its the local level corruption which made u feel like same.... re marriage is not a issue to be taken to this level, its allowed in our religion. and thereis no problem in having a remarriage in guruduwara, yes if everybody agrees go ahead... regarding the divorce of the parents well It was a sad news but the reason was both of ur mom and dad was stubborn and wont able to compromise and this thing happened.... what path are u follwing... take my words nobody is ideal so get ready to compormise on both front...otherwise remarrying again and again is the only way out left... sorry for my harsh words Fateh

look dear poster of this thread.... there isno such issue making in this thing, parents never meant to do this intentionally... once you become a father you will come to know yourself why u will be hitting your childrens.... there might be something wrong done by you or maybe you think urself to be more westernized now that you find it disturbing that your mom hits you... so better be a good kid of ur parents and rather than takingthings to hurt try to figure out what wrong has happened which led your mom to hit you.... this will make u find the mistake of u and will help to correct you. one more thing ask the same question again when u become a father... then put the question and we will ask the reply why I it my children??? ITs not the only aspect members that money is misused by SGPC, and that is true everywhere whereeverI person has a power it happens... but they do are using money in proper way too. I lived in Amritsar till 2005 before leaving for Taiwan. They has buses to run continuosly for sangats who come to visit goldent temple from bus stand and station to Golden temple free of cost. They have made new staying places (sarah) and now try to expand the buidings of golden temple to accomodate more and more sangat during the visits, managing many hospitals and schools plus managing all the guruduwaras in punjab etc, networking, airing of golden temple kirtan, computerization etc etc... these all things have been done.Yes corruption is verywhere and we haveto go by it we cant expect100% true person even i am damn sure that members here in this board when given power of SGPC will do the same, what is happening... Well to me i cant understand what the issue for????? Nobody klnows wat is going behind close doors of a cafe, or a eating shop... I am in a place where people eat nonveg all the time if u eat from outside. So what i am doing is i am cooking myself. Now the second reason comes, when i go to some research trip etc i cant take my food with me there, so i have to eat from outside coz there is no option from you. tehre it hardly matters what kinda of food it is... if u talk of vegetarian and non vegetarian nothing is vegetarian.... every thing even water has germs bacterias etc... arnt you eating them when u drink it.... stop pretending of anything..... stop eating everything and find of vegetarian stuff.... The solution lies here.... keep yourswelf pure from inside, food hardly going to make you sinner as you are a part of food chain and there is no escape... my pointis make urself clean from inside and follow rehat from inside which takes u close to ur guru not following outside and staying sinner from inside FATEH

To all members my point of view is First of all let me know who is a pure sikh in the present world.... at least somebody has something wrong in him, despite doing all rehat, naam simrana etc... there is something in his/her mind always and this everybody knows.... So comes here the point... why we talk then of amritdhari being pure??? being a amrtidhari doenst mean he has become pure... naam lena is asaan lekin naam waala banna is very difficult... so to me that person is not pure at all how much rehat he can take from outside once he is not pure from inside... So my point to one saying on fisrt page that a amritdhari can eat from others?? why so that is also a type of jooth..... so to me either u make urself sucham or dont show off things to others that coz u r amritdhari you cant eat jooth. Well as per my thinking, kara symbolizes the pureness in you, coz actual kara is supposed to be of sarv loh and not of the steel we wear these days, but the thing is the symbolization of kada rather than the material it is made... second function of kada is to stop doing you bad things and mis deeds coz whenever u extend your hand out for some bad thing seeing kada will remind you that the thing which u doing you shouldnt doo..... akthought mind is also involved in it but afterall mind also has this in mind that kada is meant to stop doing bad things.. so it will automatically control you from doing tbad things. now there comes different way of expressing kadas, and this goes with the modern society, you asdked a kada in the shape of simrana, well you can see kada in alot of other shapes and even people wear as churian also.... so its jst a depiction of that kada in different forms, the real meaning remains the same behind it. yes i wash once a week and that too in night on weeeknds, coz i have a research job in my lab so never sure of timing.... so have to manage with it... but i think when u wear a pagri etc washing once a week is workable

Dear Sinister Bro, Well my opinion to you is first of all stop thiking taking only one mind set, open it to listen to other views and then analyze urself and come up for what u asking for. U say that evil is the thing which made sikhism to born? Ok thats true, but this is nature, everything has to be born from some place, but evil being the guidance of birth of sikhi doenst make it a evil ancestor. that birth of sikhi was meant for certain reasons and thats reason is to kill the evil outside and inside you. One biggest thing is there is no evil outside..... the only evil resides inside us and thats alll..... take my words if everybody wins his/her mind there will be no evil in the society..... take a simple example: if somebody do wrong and u keep watching him benefit from that without any harm, your mind thinks thats good I can do it too... now the evil starts to come into u... although u know its wrong but u surrendering to evil... so guruji's wants sikhs to be such that they can fight for justice against evil (inside as well as outside) i dont know gurbani much, but i try to answer with simple words... the main purpose was to stand against evil and for that sikhism was created and hence this is no direct relationship of a mother son between sikhism and evil as u r pointed it out in ur post... by saying why we are killing evil if we are born from it... we are not born from evil we were born to fight against evil... there is no blood relation or direct relation Fateh
