  1. Yeah, I know that kundalini is strong, so there is no joking around with it. Therefore I will prefer this slow way. I was just interested on that Question so I decided to ask.
  2. ahhh, okay. So I should just practice meditation by chanting waheguru etc. Cheers.
  3. Ahh okay, what about my anohter question. is it okay to awake it with shaktipat way..or is it a sin or something, since there is some sort of hindu mantras involved?
  4. I have recently found out about shaktipat kundalini awakening, which means that some sort of spiritual "guru" awakens your kundalini. I noticed that those "gurus" are always hindus, If I want to awaken my kundalini with shaktipat is it wrong? I mean is it will of waheguru? or should I awaken it with chanting wahegurus name? And if I awaken it with shaptikat method, is there some sort of hindu deitys involved on that awakening? and if I awaken it with shaktipat does my kundalini courages me to go into hinduism or does it matter at all who/how/what religious practice I use to awaken it?
  5. THank you for answers. I just started watching that Khalsa camp video, I will be watching it in several parts.
  6. So as you can see from topic title, I am struggling between sikhism and christianity atm. I have raised in christian family and everytime I try to "connect" with guru I remember things from my past what father have said about other religions: "you will never find peace from any other religion, they are from satan..." etc.... It haunts me SO much. Only thing I "desire" in this life is Love and happiness, thats all. For example when I chant shabads I can almost feel the presence of guru, when im starting to feel gurus love and joy etc. That moment is ruined by my fathers thoughts what he have said to me.... "Other religions are from satan, only christianity will bring you true peace" - yet I havent felt anything spiritual in christianity..... even I have been in church countless times. How to get rid off past religious beliefs? how I am going to find happiness as sikh? It is so frustrating when I am doing even small amount of progress to my path of sikhism and then my fathers "seed of hate and hesitation" starts to affect in my mind. EDIT: My mind is also strongly haunted by my father "dreams from god". He once saw a dream where Jesus said to him that I am lost case - that my soul is condemned to hell aldready, for worshipping other/"false" gods (waheguru, krishna etc.) This is one of thought that I cant get rid off... ----- offtopic: I have also been struggling alot with Question "what is meaning of my life". I feel so useless and worthless. I have asked it and tried to find it trought many religious point of view but I still cant see it. I have heard and read alot meaning of life in "common" like live in peace and love etc.... but how I am able to live in peace and love, without getting peace and love from god himself? its imbossible to spread it if you dont have it.
  7. I just found this GREAT song from snatam kaur listen this to the very end, it starts little bit boring. But the longer you listen - the better it sounds! best part starts at 3:11-> I can almost feel presence of guru ram das by listening this xd
  8. I was thinking, should I buy http://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-Sri-Guru-Granth-Sahib-Volume-2-4-Sikhism-Text-Verses-Idiom-English-India-Re-/271496441657?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f3672ef39 from ebay or do I need to read those in right order to get something out of guru granth sahib...?
  9. So, Ive had alot problems with: Kaam, krodh, lobh, moh and ahankar. What tips you guys have to overcome those? Is it there any specific mudra for those? or something like that... I really dont want any of those in my life, I want to be free from those.
  10. Dont worry, waheguru will cure it! like he (or she xd) cured my depression, anxiety, anger, hatred
  11. As you can see from title. Is there any similiar day in sikhism, than christmas?
  12. I dont myself believe that our destiny is written. I mean that would be SO unfair. I believe myself that god is merciful and god will give us chance to come to him and be saved. and what comes to: "Don't love your parents, wife, children, only love god.", I think that means we have to love god more than our parents, wife and childrens. Which sounds pretty logical, since god has created us. You may also want to check this out
