WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Dear Saadh Sangat Ji On Sunday July 9th,there will be a Youth Kirtan Darbar at Gurdwara Sahib Singh Sabha,Victoria B.C. We do not have many big Kirtan programs in Victoria,and we are hoping to make this into a wonderful program. We are humbly requesting the pressence of Sangat from all over,especially youth Sangat.In Victoria there is a big amount of "Sikh Youth" but not too many of them are into Sikhi.They think that Sikhi is something for older people,people from India,they think its not cool to be a Sikh and wear a Dastaar. We are hoping to show these youth that it is an amazing thing to be Gursikhs and to live and follow Gurmat. We really need the help of the Youth Sangat from other cities,we really need for all of you to come here and help us,and to inspire the youth,and to set a good example. Also it will be a great oppurtunity to inspire the older Sangat as well.Alot of times we hear the older generation complain saying that the youth dont care about Sikhi and about their history,well this is a great oppurtunity to prove them wrong. Also anyone who wants to do Kirtan will be warmly welcomed to,and there will also be Katha in english to inspire and awaken the minds of the youth. There is so many great Chardi Kala Gursikhs out there,and we would be so happy if you would come and let us have darshan and help us do parchar and spread the message of the Guru Ji's. Victoria is only 1 hour and 30mins by ferry,from the mainland,and the ferry only cost's $10.80.There will be rides available from the Victoria side of the ferries,to the Gurdwara,and then back to the ferries.Please if you need a ride,please e-mail me at d_singh23@hotmail.com or call 250-889-8583. Jernail Nihang Ji,you have your opinions,and i have mine.I personally believe that Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale is a Shaheed,I respect the fact that you think he is not.No one more than me would love to see Sant Ji back among us.I trully admire him so much,but why would Sant Ji stay away for so long? why would he see all his brothers and sisters give Shaheedi,and still stay on the low? look at how many Sikhs joined the freedom movement after Operation Bluestar,and after hearing about Sant Ji's Shaheedi.Would Sant Ji not have wanted to lead the Sikhs into battle,that is what he did in Operation Bluestar.Sant Jarnail Singh is up there with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur,Baba Deep Singh,Jassa Singh Alhuwalia as being one of the greatest leaders of the Sikh Panth.I believe there is no way that Sant Ji would sit around for this long,and watch while petty politics(politricks) have been running around the highest postions in the Sikh Panth.Would Sant Ji really sit around and let the Massacre of Sikhs happin in 1984,after I.Gandhi's death,i think not..................... there is no way Sant Ji would have sat by and watched.Even Damdami Taksal has acknowledged that Sant Ji is a Shaheed. i relate so much 2 this post,thats excatly what i went through when i was growin up.i basically didnt find out about sikh history till i went to the library and started to read about sikhi,i was like 20 years old before i even knew the names of all 10 guru ji's.

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh does baba darshan singh have a new dera now,you really dont hear much about this baba.i never heard about him until this thread about him was started.i checked out his website.it seems that he did many good things.he has started schools,hospitals,a drug addication centre.sant ranjit singh dhadrianwale seems to have copied his style of dress.is baba darshan singh ji still around? does anyone know where he is?how to contact him?.he seems to be a true sant,who helps people and brings them into sikhi,and he preaches pure sikhi,from what i have seen on his website.he even has goray and kalay followers.has any of the sangat met this singh? waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

I WOULD DEFINITLY GO TO GURDWARA SAHIB DASMESH DARBAR IN SURREY.I HAVE HEARD THAT GURDWARA SAHIB AMRIT PRAKASH IS REALLY NICE.GURDWARA SAHIB KALGIDHAR DARBAR IS THE BIGGEST IN NORTH AMERICA I HEARD.NANAKSAR GURSIKH GURDWARA IS REALLY NICE,LOOKS LIKE ITS A GURDWARA IN INDIA.I KNOW ROSS STREET GURDWARA IS THE OLDEST IN VANCOUVER.THERE ARE GURDWARAS ON EVERY BLOCK IN SURREY,SO THERE IS A LOT TO CHOOSE FROM,BUT I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM GURU NANAK TEMPLE.THE PRESIDENT OF THAT TEMPLE IS A CONVICTED DRUNK DRIVER,WHO HAS BEEN EX-COMMUNICATED FROM THE SIKH PANTH,BY SRI AKAL TAKHT.THEY HAVE TABLE AND CHAIRS IN THE LANGAR. ALSO THE IS ALOT OF GURMAT ORIENTATED STORES IN SURREY WHERE YOU CAN GET KAKKARS FROM.THERE IS A FEW STORES ON THE SAME STREET AS GURDWARA SAHIB DASMESH DARBAR.TOO BAD YOU WERNT COMING AROUND BAISAKHI TIME,BECAUSE THE NAGAR KIRTAN IN SURREY IS THE BIGGEST ONE IN NORTH AMERICA,SOMETHING LIKE 100,000 PEOPLE.BUT MAKE SURE YOU VISIT DASMESH DARBAR,THE STREET IS EVEN NAMED DASMESH MARG.ITS DOPE SEEING A STREET NAMED ESPECIALLY FOR THE KHALSA.

shaheed bhagat singh ji was an atheist,but after being influenced by bhai sahib bhai randhir singh ji,he came back to sikhi.bhagat singh started to re keep kes,as there is pictures to prove it,and he wanted to take amrit before he died,something the british said they would allow,which they didnt.also for the days leading up to his shaheedi,bhagat singh would spend hours reading gurbani from gutkas he had.the last 4 hours of his life was spent reading gurbani.this is never shown in movies,because that way the hindu population will still look upon him as a indian shaheed,not just a sikh shaheed.all of the movies made about him are distorted,because they never show shaheed ji with a joora when he dies,he always is clean shaven and short hair.the sikh nation needs to be producing movies about sikhs,especially about our great shaheeds.that way there can be no distortions about history.shaheed bhagat singh ji was truelly a shaheed for indian independance,but potraying him as a kesdhardi singh,would make him not indian hero but a sikh hero to the majority of indians.

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH in a previous post it was said that kesri(orange)should not be worn under the waist.does this mean that sikhs should not wear kesri kamer kasas(wrapped around the waist),but since it is wrapped around the waist it is really not below the waist,so im confused,what was meant by saying we should not wear it under the waist?
