Hello my friend, i can 1million % assure u, that you are not allowed in not because you are white. Many many gurdwaras all over the world have and allow people of any colour and religion. The only reason that u r not allowed into a sikh place of worship (gurdwara), is if u have been smoking, drinking alcohol or taking drugs, prior to entering a gurdwara. In my local gurdwara, rastafarians, polish, chinese and black ppl enter everyday for langar and a place of shelter.

Also the fact that he constantly invites that liar mark tully n gen.brar on his show, YET reluctantly invites genuine knowledgable sikhs like jagraj singh (basics of sikhi), sarb singh (rajoana tv) n shamsher singh (immortal prod) shows u BBC INDIAN networks intent. Everytime i txt his show, he always seems reluctant 2 read it out n seems very dismissive of my contributive txts. I kno he still bitter about when he got done by sikhs over his comments of how supposedly sikhi is a religion made up of number faiths. When i challenged him, he lambasted my comment, n the rest is history, thanks to lord inderjit singh n sikh channel, who had my back.

I can confirm that was said by a bitter panjabi muslim, on a channel 4 partition documentary, called "the last days of the raj". Cheers geezer for sayin it how it is. I was gonna mention the whole obsession that bhatras have with gold, rings, jewellery and the most hideous of all....the pardaah (veil), but i thought leave it.

I'd Been told that bhatras were initially from Sri Lanka, and were followers of Guru Nanak, that traveled with him, and leaving Sri Laka behind, and came to "India" after that. Thats y i thought they were darker skinned compared to other Sikhs of Panjab.

Quite interesting stuff here i have to say, im from bedfordshire, n i grew up n have quite a lot of bhatra friends. What i found from them, lookin from the outside, is that they have very big families (which is a good thing), and tend to keep kesh/paghs better than most sikh tribes. Also can you tell us, why it was, that bhatras moved to the uk, a lot earlier (20s), than other tribes of panjab? Coz im frm a tribe that is hardly heard of/talked of in uk/sikh circles, but my grandad (both sides) came over in 70s, along with most other tribes. My great grandad also fought in british indian armys campaigns in basra (iraq) vs the ottoman empire, were there many bhatras serving in the british indian army aswel? Bcoz i kno a lot of the 1st gurdwaras 1st built in uk, were done so by the bhatra community, including the 1 in luton, where SGGS was read out in a small shed, incredible dedication!

Agreed, we recently discovered and have proof of guru jis trip down to the vatican, the heart of catholicism. We know guru ji has been to the centres of buddhism, islam, christianity, hindu n id assume jain faiths, but if im not mistaken, no mention of jewish faith. I reckon that will b the next discovery.

Bobby friction is a pure embarassment to sikhs, this is the same bandhar, who durin the 2011 riots in the uk, called sikhs who where protecting their local gurdwaras with weapons from serious vandals, as "mini bhindrawalas".
