I was just wondering if anyone could help me as I am goin to my best mates wedding who is a Amrit Dhari and she has asked us girls to sing a shabad at the milni part of the wedding when the bharaat is coming to the gurdwara sahib. My penji took amrit in August last year but has a birthday coming up and I'm confused as to what to get her for her birthday?!?! So if any of u have any ideas please do let me know.

Yes i am currently really gob smacked because i dont understand this!! It just doesnt happen is all i can think.. and in regards to his dad it was in a village in india/punjag god knows... this guys dad actualli told him he isnt sikh... i mean what on earth how disturbing is this..

Hi, I have today been having a discussion with a guy who I would of said is the same as u or I!!! But he was saying that he is not the same, his people have been beaten up cause of what he is, goin back to his great great grandparents, great grandparents, grandparents and parents have been treated.. That even now in this present day bot he and his people are being treated in the same way. They are beaten, there women are killed and raped. :o His father was told to sit in the corner of a langar hall cause he was seen as "diffenrent".. I was mortified to what i was being told and immediatly felt that i needed to justify my own actions, I had to sit back a bit and think I have said nothing bad to him and still respected what he had to say.. i asked him if he should be seen different to me?? "under the umbrella of sikhism which has beeen a failure to my people i am seen as what i preach to younger ones as a '2nd rate sikh' , so if i said im sikh...im different (chumar are indigenous people)" I asked him if they go to the gurdwara and he said he goes to the temple... I was sooo confused.... What i was trying to expalin to him was what i understood abt Sikhi and those that abuse and reject ppl arent infact sikhs they are jus mere punjbais... at the moment i could go on and on talking abt this... But for now I would like to hear from sangat in ther views as I have never heard of any such thing occuring,.. I alwayd thoughtthat everyone was equal.. then why has this individual got soooo much hate... ??? I applogise for anything that i may have sed thats out of line...

its never to hard to get back into anything.. its all abt will power..

Thats good im glad to hear.. but i am going to assume that someone will tell me otherwise as ther is always someone that has another view..lol Well I was asked by my massi when I was 16 if I wanted to go on the Organ Donation List.. But I was informed that when you fill out your driving license they have question ther that asks if you want to become a donor.. But I will find out where else you are able to contact in order to Donate.. (because i was so confused at uni that day i forgt to listen to what the presentation was about, otherwise i would have told you) I will let you know.

Is it against Sikhi to donate your organs once you have passed this world??? I have been on the Organ donation list since I was 16, and I have never questioned if it was against sikhi until my gori mate asked me if it was.. So if anyone knows about this let me know.. As I have always thought that it was ok as youd be doing seva for someone once you have passed aswel..

i think its abit of both cos i personally believe that the World was created as one big test................Gid gives use a human form and brings us into a world where our love for him is constantly tested............ can we live in this world and see no difference between dukh sukh? can we love the people who have harmed us......? if we can then we see the world through Gods eyes as a beauiful place becos we are untouched by temptation..........its when we foget our Maker and give in to these temptations we become unhappy......... moral: God is REAL everything else is just an illusion..................... id say that its us as humans that make this world a hard place to live.. but then again on the otherhand if you keep guru ji in your heart alll the time i dnt think its that hard.. well thats wat i percieve from some of my mates a who are more commited then myself.. so its kinda dependent on who the individual is....
