  1. I view this site 99% of the time on a mobile device, but yesterday I was charging it, so I went on my PC in the evening, and decided to visit the forum. Frig me, the size of the banner on my screen was almost as big as my head! ?. It would look better even if the original background blue replaced the current gaudy royal blue of the banner. There's tonnes of free classy and regal looking fonts that could replace the strange choice of typeface, too.
  2. Naam japna and taking Amrit is the basics of what Sikhs should aspire to. I'd be worried only if someone gets dodgy advice contrary to Sikh ethics, like start clubbing and increase intake of alcohol, lol, or more seriously, if a respected aatma says, "Worship only me." Like I said, no-one's going to believe it, but if one guy has started on the path of Sikhi and seems to have been saved from a painful and drawn out death, that's a positive imo. Who knows what wrongs have been righted in the afterlife? It's not up to us to second guess such things, and manufacture fantasy scenarios of our own based on our biases, because we really don't know much despite what we may think of ourselves.
  3. The Singh was a uk born guy, and a mona at the time. Something had been "done" to him, if you know what I mean. His family took him to pandits and new age healers, and all sorts. He says someone suggested to go to someone's house who did maanta of BVS. He went for a while, listened to kirtan, said he liked it but he wasn't getting better. A few months pass, and he says he has a dream where he has darshan of BVS, who tells him to start japping naam on a regular basis; basically start a strict nitnem routine. Eventually, the guy says a few months of naam japna he felt compelled to take amrit. He becomes a Singh, starts to get seriously better with his "problem", and eventually his life sorts itself out. It's one of those rare happy endings, lol.
  4. Dunno whether I should say this but I was close to a Singh (not affiliated to any group or sect) who said he'd had darshan of Baba Vadbagh Singh during a period when the Singh was very ill, and he'd told him he was in the service of Dasme Paatshah. Obviously, no-one's going to believe it, but there you go. I assume the implication is to follow Dasme Paatshah's hukams. Singh moved to Australia a while ago, but he's doing very well health-wise. Clearly, no-one's arguing the followers and the representatives of the sect are to be trusted, because I've met a few, and trust me they're dodgy af.
  5. True, yet her concerted actions against Sikhs didn't stem exclusively from that one blow to her ego, or from a multi-generational grudge. There was a greater political purpose, which in itself had many smaller issues at play, that led to her wanting to give Sikhs a bloody nose. The main one was keeping India intact. If India ceded ground to Sikhs on any political issue, it would've sent a message to other minority groups within India who also desired to live under their own religious, cultural or ethnic rule. Having just regained a steady stance after the Bangladesh debacle, it would've sent the entire country spiralling to certain Balkanisation if Sikhs hadn't been cut down to size, because by visibly knocking us around, it sent a greater message to others, "If you challenge us or have aspirations of breaking away from India, what we've done to the Sikhs will be visited upon you. You have been warned." It's solid rajneeti, and it worked. We just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time.
  6. I love speculation like the above, but in the cold light of day it doesn't cut it. Can't be mythologizing the most innocuous of acts for the sake of some tenuous mysticism. It's like saying I drove past a dog yesterday, he turned around and stared at me as if he knew me, because in a previous life I was his baap or something. Masala isn't needed. ?
  7. Their bootlicking of Israel because of the Indian aversion for Islam, is embarrassing and the height of stupidity.
  8. The Indian's understanding of how the world truly works, and who pulls the strings, is virtually zero to the point where it's quite unsettling. Although in that regard they aren't alone, but the thrill in which they revel in their ignorance is astounding. They are deeply enthralled by the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" mantra, foolishly ignoring that an enemy who fakes friendship and cordiality is no less of a threat than one who doesn't conceal its enmity. This seems to be a deeply rooted mentality, and I think it goes some way to explain how they were conquered in such a comprehensive manner on multiple occasions. Also, their faith in authority is terrifying, lol. They have a pathological desire to be lead. Again, I think that's a natural extension of the Indian mentality where some form of worship is a default mode of expression.
  9. It's easy to get drawn into the "Hollywoodisation" of real life. Everyone needs a reason or a compelling purpose for turning evil or becoming a tyrant, right? No. In real life, people of the status of Mrs. Gandhi don't think like you or me. They have an objective, and they are willing to do anything to fulfil it. Past friendships, decency, and ties mean zilch. If you're in their way, and you're removable, they will not think twice about pushing you aside to maintain their grip on power or to further a cause. That's as simple as it is. We aren't talking about Darth Vader's origin story. These people have the lives of hundreds of millions or billions in their hands. Showing weakness or hesitation just won't do. To quote, ironically, a fictional figure, "It's not personal, it's business."
  10. Maybe I'm biased, but the basis on which Modi "promotes" India and her achievements seems quite flimsy to me. I'm not denying India has some things of which it should be proud, but aside from the surface bluster and hot air, anyone with a little bit of smarts can see it's not as great or as reflective of objective reality as it's been sold to a certain brand of contemporary Indian. For Sikhs in India, it's highlighted for me that they're kinda trapped figuratively and literally. There'd be more reason for hope if we'd progressed since the 80s, but we've actually regressed on many fronts where it counts, partially as a result of incessant ideological subversion that began the moment they stopped firing bullets at us. Before we can look outwards, the first step is to purge the traitors. They've ended up being fed into every nook and cranny of the Sikh establishment. The Sikh organised religion machinery is completely compromised. There is no avoiding it. It's gone. The moment a Sikh stands up and speaks solely for Sikh issues that don't have any hint of hostility for other communal groups, he's pounced upon, slandered, and silenced. That's not right at all.
  11. Having spent the best part of 3 weeks devouring Indian-centric YouTube content of all kinds -- and most importantly, reading the comments underneath the videos -- it seems to me that Modi has instigated a form of super-intense patriotism in the masses that draws on many elements such as a pride and an acknowledgement of the achievements of Indian civilisation/s, which goes hand in hand with a stark denigration, verging on hatred, of historical colonisers such as Britain. I'm actually quite impressed how quickly he's managed it, although that may also be an indictment of the intelligence of the average Indian. It's subtle and cynical demagoguery, but it's very effective.
  12. He saw it coming decades ago. They had us convinced he was a Nazi or a racist. He may well be a bigot, but like I've said, nothing should ever supercede the interests of your own people. The hate and propaganda faced by Griffin is what Sikh separatists of the future should prepare to face, and worse. Are there any among us who are prepared to risk losing everything so that Sikhs may flourish one day?
  13. I'm still holding out for my idea of Langari becoming a reality. I can't wait until my boutha is on the first banknote of Langarstan. I'll be the bapu of the nation.
  14. I'll look for it in my history and post the link. It's an American girl who's trawling Twitter and reading tweets from these sickos. Here it is: https://youtube.com/watch?v=Ps348oMy13s
  15. It's happening, bro. I saw a video on YouTube a few days ago where these Zoophiles were defending their attraction to kutteh and biliyan using the false equivalency of human interactions in terms of body language, etc. I had a headache after hearing some of the bukwaas being discussed. Nastiness.
  16. Nahi! I meant Gandhari Nandan, Hastinapur ke yuvraj, Duryodhana, and Mahayodha Ang Raaj, Daanveer Karan! ?
  17. Mahadev ki saughand, je tum Mumbai na hote, hum teri jeeb kaat dounde!
  18. Yes, I know. I was watching Mahabharata on YouTube for a few days, and I got carried away. ? Those tweets are just something else. Imagine placing subversive Jewish Marxist-Lennism as the standard to which Dhur ki Bani is interpreted and measured. Western brainwashing has done its job. What a state of affairs.
  19. We need these two mahaveers to return and clean house.
  20. I was just pulling your leg, bro. You're aware of the facts. The best thing you can do is to spread awareness in your immediate family and social circle.
  21. You'd love it if your faux-spiritual rambling passed into the realm of truth, but unfortunately for you Sikhi IS a religion with its own codified philosophy and edicts. Sikhi did not end in 1539 as much as you'd have liked it to. The jot continued burning for a further 9 incarnations.
  22. You sound Islamophobic, bro. Go outside, do some exercise, hang around a mosque on Friday afternoons. You'll feel a bit better. Allah Hafis.
  23. In a practical day-to-day sense you've just got to keep it cordial and responsible especially if you're in a professional environment. Inwardly, just remain alert. Don't sow unnecessary animosity. Muslims are masters at flattery; that's one thing us Sikhs are incredibly susceptible to. They truly have the gift of the gab. You don't have to wander around hating anybody. Just don't doze off.
