  1. Ultimately, that's the only solution if we're to survive. It's been dawning on me for the past 7 or 8 months but I know the reaction to "going home" is a problem for Western Sikhs. They get very upset when someone suggests it. It may take until 2100 of beyond for it to become a reality. I'll expand on my premise when I'm feeling up to it. This Corona-lite has done a number on me for the past few weeks. I'm an absolute mess at the moment. ?
  2. He was definitely an advanced soul incarnated in a time that was comparatively primitive to his intellect. These "egos" are necessary to advance the human race through certain epochs.
  3. This current Corona situation is a good indication of the response we should expect from law enforcement and the government in how they'll enforce certain emergency directives with little to no warning. Of course, the specifics will be unique to the situation, but this is a good practice run of what to expect, particularly in how society is expected to knuckle under and obey all government instructions without question.
  4. Not one response that proposed a solution to confront the problem and curb the issue before it becomes the everyday normal. Instead, let's traipse from one country to the next like a bunch of rootless gypos.
  5. Aside from the daan aspect it's good to see apne thinking outside the box.
  6. Let's be honest, it isn't as if your conversations are going to revolve around metaphysical debates about the nature of reality, or the difficulties of existing in a first world country while retaining a semblance of your ethnic and cultural roots. On your end it'll be, "Is she at least okay to look at?" and "I hope any potential kids won't be sub-65 IQ brainlets if they take after their mother." At her end she'll be thinking about what you can provide for her in a material sense, and a preferable boost in social status for her. That's what it ultimately boils down to for 99% of our people. This "conversation" meme is so played out, because it presupposes that the participants in these so-called conversations have anything compelling or meaningful to discuss, which they don't... including the apparently highly educated sorts.
  7. I think it's a way of explaining that this person was the innocent party, or the "aggrieved" and not the troublesome instigator. It's an understandable matter to clarify, because it differentiates between a troublemaker who doesn't know how to conduct themselves (and is therefore a riskier prospect for remarriage), compared to someone who was blindsided during the initial union and had no intention of walking away from that first marriage but is now left with no choice but to agree to ending it.
  8. "On the same wavelength" is also occasionally used as a polite euphemism for, "Earns as much as I do" or "Needs to be in my social class" which is a gentler way of expressing the desire to avoid social mismatches, i.e. a young female solicitor has no interest in being paired up with a brickie or a labourer, lol.
  9. Some things defy logic. This makes me laugh, although I'm not sure why.
  10. Reading non-Sikh authored accounts of Guru Sahib's lives, in particular concerning those Guru Sahibs who possessed an enthusiasm for literature and poetry, it's strange how our own Sikh commentators and religious figures tend to downplay this aspect. It's almost glossed over at times.
  11. Interestingly, it was Cromwell who allowed the Jews to return to England in 1656 after their expulsion in 1290. What a Cohencidence. ? If they had bank statements back in the day, Cromwell's printouts would've made for fascinating reading. Oy vey!
  12. I don't think it's quite as sinister as when it's something done by design. It's a general apathy. It becomes a problem when that mentality becomes an unspoken widespread assumption taken to be a self evident fact, because that's when it goes challenged. Much of these types of issues facing the Sikh community across countries have developed because there's something missing at the core of parchaar. It's more than an issue of language or translation. I'm not knocking the knowledgeable preachers. I've spent a while listening to various Sikh parcharaks, and fundamentally they are decent Sikhs doing the best according to the level of wisdom they've been blessed with. I do think the problem goes a lot deeper.
  13. Why not. You'll have to graft to establish roots but if your countrymen can make it work, you should be fine.
  14. It's true. Some of these men arrange for "accidents" that pave the way for the current wife to be replaced by a particularly impatient girlfriend who isn't satisfied with being the booty call. The cycle continues at least until the police latch onto the scheme, or the businessman gets a little too overconfident in his brazen schemes of murder.
  15. I'm beginning to suspect even the most outwardly religious in our community don't actually believe in the whole "ending transmigration" deal. Very little of their deeds and demeanour suggests anything that points in that direction.
  16. We knock Punjabi girls, but there's a few decent, respectable ones out there, but unfortunately their male "looks matches" are off in fantasy land hoping to catch an Instagram Thot instead of someone unassuming and chilled. Chubby fat Punjabi nerds dismissing Punjabi girls (who aren't fat) as being "too simple" because these girls aren't caked in makeup, and don't resemble a Kardashian. Do they actually want whores as wives or what, lol? Absolute state of these guys is hilarious.
  17. They overestimate their ability to deal with these types of women if they manage to get married to them. "I can handle her" is what they continually reassure themselves with in the lead up to the marriage. No, you aren't handling anyone. She'll "handle" YOU, lol. She's not going to fall into line and become an obedient housewife when she spies your monthly paycheck. There's a month or two honeymoon period where even the most degenerate, party animal tries to play the part of the dutiful wife, but you can't tame anyone like that. The drudgery, routine, and conformity of marriage begins to eat away at someone of that nature after a week.
  18. Perhaps two events millions of years apart?
  19. The "day" referred to in Christian scripture isn't a literally day of 24 hours, but a Cosmic Day or a Day of Brahma, which consists of millions of years. That's why Christians get triggered when they try to cram in the story of Creation into 6 human days. The subsequent aversion for evolution stems from this fundamental miscounting of Creation. Those Cosmic Days allowed the cycle of Churasi Lakh to work itself out over the course of hundreds and millions of years. Imagine how relatively primitive those of us who are currently incarnating in human form and making mistakes and generally falling victim to all sorts of frailties. Then imagine the calibre of soul that was the first to incarnate in the human race. No wonder it was Satyuga back then. The scum that passes for human these days were probably dogs and demons as recently as 10 lifetimes ago, lol.
  20. I read somewhere it was the sound of Creation. The unstruck melody.
  21. The soul knows. The mind can delude the consciousness into self-delusion, but the soul always knows. Nasty. I'd rather kill myself than opt for 5hit like that.
