  1. They're certainly not sitting home on a Saturday night reading Sikh ithaas.
  2. In that one press conference she's undone any goodwill that people had for her. Hilarious. She's seriously misjudged the atmosphere around her case and the efforts of her husband to paint her in a totally blameless light.
  3. I wonder if they've remained chaste during this arduous search for a male companion?
  4. I have yet to meet a 'Simran' who doesn't possess an excessive interest in sexual matters.
  5. 10 years? We're supposed to believe she remained loyal to her online pal for that long? No desire to meet after a year or two? Even when she hit 40 and I presume her pals were married and having kids, she didn't demand to meet her online buddy to establish where the relationship was going? Women usually start getting existential after a few months, but she didn't ask these questions? What the hell is this? Nutter. Edit: okay, I just skimmed the entire article. It's a Bollywood plot!!! ??
  6. You expect too much of comedians.
  7. Well, there's going to need to come a time when we'll need to get on with people in order to get things done. We've developed an unfortunate reputation of being a group that doesn't get on with ANYONE. With our numbers, that's not going to work for us. Ever.
  8. It's an ordeal to be overcome; stressful even if you've got all the mod-cons over there which most people do. It's just not a "holiday destination" that's conducive to unwinding, shanti, relaxation, etc. Family politics probably contributes to that as well. Expensive, too. You get very little in return for the huge sums of money spent on travel and costs while in Punjab.
  9. Punjab is overall viewed as a low status destination. Unless you have a thriving ancestral heritage it's going to be difficult to sell an excursion over there to someone from a Sikh background who errs toward coconut-punna. Heck, even bana-dumalla wearing Western born Sikhs would rather go to Dubai or the Seychelles than venture to Punjab. Plus, I think the days of fat NRI Sikh girls being cajoled into going back to find a desi Punjabi husband are long gone, which was kind of one of the last threads of maintaining East-West relations between the two locations. So, thanks to feminism and the fat positivity movement that's emboldened low status women to believe they're 10/10s, Sikhi is suffering. Thank you Marxists (!) ??
  10. Yes, my shopping bill has shot up. I'm paying almost double for the same items I bought a few weeks earlier at normal prices. If this goes on any longer I'll need to start eating my Weetabix in water. ??
  11. Legends say they're turning the frogs gay... ??
  12. For the past few years I get the impression they've stopped bothering to cover their tracks, because they're comfortable in the fact they've managed to create a society where Wrong and Right are relative values. They're almost at the stage of openly goading the people as if to say, "You can't do anything to stop us." They're right, though.
  13. So frustrating to see such obvious evil in the world, and not be able to do anything about it. It's not even the fact that they're such immense evil hypocrites; it's that they're pretending to be angels and heroes that really gets to me.
  14. When and where are they getting the time and resources to roll-out these policies while conducting a full-scale war with the second largest war machine on the planet? ?
  15. BTW, laying out government jobs is what they did in the old U.S.S.R. when they wanted to ensure those who were hired remained loyal to the state (as well as the previously mentioned perks and potential pensions on retirement). The jobs were leverage. It's standard operating procedure for any Communist state. The more I look into post-'47 India in all its messiness and confusion, I'm starting to wonder if India had quietly succumbed to a form of Communism without announcing it. The media culture and direction of India (something that interests me across the world) suggests there's certainly an element of Communism masquerading as secularism that was sneaked in through the back door when the country's constitution was drawn up. The heavy Soviet involvement in India back in the day suggests something untoward was definitely going on.
  16. They'll need to become psychic to discern someone's motivations, lol.
  17. F****g 10,000 future enemies / lathi-chargers to quell any potential uprising, lmao. ? "We gave you these jobs and pensions. Follow our orders!" You can't make it up.
  18. No, but I am surrounded by them! ?
  19. Is it actually a misspelling of Johal, lol?
  20. Who attacked him, though? His own fans or the opposition? ?
