  1. http://allaboutsikhs.com/rehat/rehat_06.htm In other words, if a Kurehit has been done it is recommended you go pesh to Panj Pyaarey, and they will give you advice(hukam on what to do
  2. Seeing as we've been doing that for a few decades now, I'm not so sure it's too much of a "news", or anything we shoudl have hopes for
  3. It seems evident from Gurbani that hell is indeed the state of mind. Hell in Gurbani, in my understanding refers to the separation for Kartaar, and the transmigration of souls in 84 lakh joon, where one comes and goes, but has no clue about who Kartaar is, and no idea about gurbani. They live in pitch darkness as mentioned in above Shabads. I will ahve to look into Bhai Rama Singh Ji's book, however the fact that he had scars doesn't impress me too much, as there have been many cases where people have dreamt of things and had physical cahnges. Will have to look into his book again before i comment  Bhull chukk maaf
  4. Akhand Paath, according to the small knowledge, was held during war times in jungles when SIkhs were thirsty after Gurbani, and needed to be effective.. It was not done in the time of the Gurus
  5. Oh-prah is "oh brother!" In Punjabi

  7. No i have not read Bhai Randhir Singh's book, btu I have read Bhai Rama Singh Ji's book. Okay, let's for a minute assume there is a hell in Sikhi. THen which one is it, hell/narq, or reincarnation? If it is narq like you try to preview it, surely ithe shabad above cannot be a description of it, since according to Gurmat it is the jyot that leaves the body, how can the jyot suffer? To most Gurmukhs, beign away from Gurbani will be like being crushed  . Gurdev pita jeeyo says - ijau pRwxI jl ibnu hY mrqw iqau isKu gur ibnu mir jweI ]15] jio praanee jal bin hai marathaa thio sikh gur bin mar jaaee ||15|| Just as the mortal dies without water, so does the Sikh die without the Guru. ||15|| Will a Sikh literally die without Shabad Guru, i.e. in physical form? No. A Sikh will, like any other mortal live a physical life. He will not die physicall, but SPIRITUALLY, he will be living like any other ignorant person. Bhai Gurdas jeeyo mentions that Guru Nanak Dev jee came in a period of PITCH DARKNESS. Guru Sahib mentions - Was there really pitch Darkness in Guru sahib's time? In the above Shabad, fi there are hundreds of moosn & thousands of suns - will there be darkness+ No Physically it's all going to be light. Everything will be lighted up. But will the physical light make any difference spiritually to the huamn being (many claim that the Sun is God) so will thousands of sun help you spiritually? No, just like the people during GUru Nanak Dev Ji's time where in spiritual pitch darkness, one who ignores Vaheguru is in the same way in Pitch Darkness, in the spiritual sense. Just like a Sikh will die, spiritually, i.e lose his good karms etc, by leaving Vaheguru, stopping doing good karms.. Any human being will die spiritually without the pyaar of (Param)atma, the "paramKana" (the one without doubt) Gurbani mentions a lot of metaphors. I do not claim to know any of these, or be a scholar of Gurbani, but the udnerstanding that Guru Sahib has give daas, daas has shared. I might be wrong.. But personally it seems like Gurbani is filled with spiritual metaphors, and double-meanings of words, that need to be considered, as Gurbani is written for a reason, and very letter in Guru Sahib having a reason.. 8. Veer jeeyo, I must have missed this, could you please tell me where exact e's been insulting everyone? Although I believe Naam Gurbani, Paath, Ardaas (birthi kadey na hoveyi jan ki Ardaas), has 100% powers to cure, it's the mind now allowing the body to get cured. We all know that along with medicine, we also need TRUST that the medicine will work. Mind over Body concept. If you get the most effective medicine it won't work if you don't believe that it will work. Same way, if you don't have full faith in Gurbani, there's no way you're going to get cured... or get rid of bhoots and prets (psychologicla disorders most of the time). There's nothing wrong with medicines, Guru harrai Jee used to provide the less fortuante with medicines, which are as a compliment to the faith. Bhull chukk maaf

    Lust?

Do ardaas to Maharaaj. Do it daily. Beg to vaheguru. See yourself as a child of Vaheguru asking, please, pelase, please Vaheguru jeeyo, pita jeeyo, please remove these things from me.. Do it daily, or everytime you do ardaas.. Bhull chukk maaf
  10. for Font - http://download.waheguroo.com/index.php?download=3 Go to the bottom, click "I agree, Download Now", When pop-up appears go "open" and it will download, then click, next next, next. Very simple, just click the file, open, and follow instructions
  11. This is an amazing effort by Bhenjis. Bibi's definetly need to, like Singhs do nowdays, get together do stuff together, discuss etc. Would it not be better if it was held in the evening when most students (i.e. youfs) can actually come ?
  12. Daas shall endevious to try to respond to some of the above mentioend quotes - "pwpIAw no n dyeI iQru rhix cuix nrk Goir cwilAnu ] paapeeaa no n dhaeee thhir rehan chun narak ghor chaalian || He does not give the sinners any stability or place of rest; He consigns them to the depths of hell." Atmak adolta, is the deapest hell of them all, is it not? It does nto eman he litterally has a place where he's frying sinners, lol. "Brmy BUlw duKu Gxo jmu mwir krY Kulhwnu ] bharamae bhoolaa dhukh ghano jam maar karai khulehaan || They wander lost and confused, deceived by doubt, suffering in terrible pain. The Messenger of Death shall beat them to a pulp." Again it's the same thing about DOUBT, dubida, duality. To a Sikh being stuck in duality is terrible pain. jyhVw mnu`K Awpxy (loBI) mn dy ip`Cy qurdw hY auh k`uiqAW vWg (burkI burkI vwsqy dr dr qy ^uAwr huMdw) hY, auh sdw mwieAw vwlI dOV-B`j hI krdw hY (ieQoN qk inGrdw hY ik) gurU dI inMidAw ivc hr vyly ^uAwr huMdw hY [ Seems more like the concept of karma, where the person who runs after maya - ultimately punishing himself, by wasting human life on runnign after maya "jw kI thl jmdUq ibdwry ]2] jaa kee ttehal jamadhooth bidhaarae ||2|| When I serve Him, the Messenger of Death is chased away. ||2||" hy BweI ! Please read Prof Sahib Singh Ji's explainations from Gurbani as they are incredible. srigranth.org gurugranthdarpan.com  Bhull chukk maaf
  13. veerji, see thats the thing... u said 'i think'... meaning ur not sure... when, in actuality, almost all situations might be like that.... it also seems that u don't approve of the situations that were seen in the PETA vids... unless u've been to a whole bunch of slaughter houses and seen how things are done, i don't think u can make that assumption... anywayz.. thats jus my opinion on the matter.. 151407[/snapback] Veer jeeyo, I never spoke in favour for eating meat at all.... I never said it's good or okay to eat meat, so that is not the discussion, I'ms discussing whether they feel pain or not, and whether they can be compared to plants or not - I never said I'm for or against eating meat... Yes I did say "I think" because I didn't want to make it seem like what i'm saying is facts, and written on stone, because as you have mentioned its different in different places. Where I live, I know for a fact that salughter is done in a better way that films being viewed on PETA, and thus why i said i THINK it's showing extreme cases. Where I live that was of slaughtering is completly alian. bhull chukk maaf.

  15. But what's the point really. It's not as if that painting is of Guru Nanak Dev ji's real hysical body... so it doesn't matter anyway, just an artists imagenation..by sending emails we acknowledge that their authentic, when they're clearly not. And even if it was, it still wouldn't make any difference since we as Sikhs don't acknowledge the physical anyway - it's the parkash of Shabad jyot that's the Guru really..
  16. One who does not frighten anyone, and who is not afraid of anyone else - says Nanak Sahib, listen, mind: call him spiritually wise. ||16|| (SGGS 1427) [slok Mahala Nauva] In other words, although we're not meant to oppress others, we're not meant to accept being oppressed either.. Admin Note - Only provide information. If this topic turns into a debate which have been discussed before then it will be closed. Those who disagree with Khalistan please stay out of it.
  17. I'm not sure how seriously this should be taken, considering it's an artists idea, i.e how Sobha SIngh thought Guru Nanak Dev ji looked like - by making a big fuss out of it, we'll show that we acknowledge that that's the authentic photo of Guru Nanak Dev ji, which it isn't... Not sure it if should be amde into a big deal.. Fair enough if they have a FAQ section with a background picture of Guru Granth Sahib ji and Gurbani, or something like that, but because it's not even an authentic picture of Guru ji, there's no point in making a big fuss out of it....or?
  18. It's bezti that the court of the lord gives a clean chit to the same rapist that was later charged by a worldly court - thta is TRUELY shameful.
  19. kurtas, you seem to be quite fascinated by the Pakistani way of torturing people  @ Will try to upload pictures from Various gurdwarey in this thread. Gurdwara Dera Sahib (Shaheedi Asthan Guru Arjan Dev Ji)
  20. Eh, no-one is saying that anyone is lying,do remember tha bhai Rama Singh ji did not have a personal experience but it was a DREAM. He himself writes it clearly (the pages were even scanned by Mehtab Singh Ji) where he clearly says it was a terrifying DREAM. Yes it did get him to change his jeevan, bt that doesn't change the fact thta it was a dream. Gurbani cleary says that true heel and haven is the state oft he mine. You coud live in a palace (i.e. materialistic heave) yet be in nark, in youdr mind not ahving any compassion, and devotion for the poor hungy man sitting outside your palace.
  21. You are in hell whilst beign alive, if without Gurbani... just like I am.. And are in Satyug if youre heart is merged with Gurbani, GurShabad, SajnaRa...
  22. That wouldn't surprise us too much would it though, considering Dhanwant being given a clean chit from Akal Thakhat and then being punished by the court of India - out of all courts - that is wayy too mcuh besti
  23. Considering Sikhs as a people cannot feel safe in India, and that Sikh identity is drowing and being swallowed by extremist hindu organisations such as Arya Samaj, and RSS working fulltime on trying to peneterate through Sikh oragnisations, and give them a bad name, and make SIkhs seems like hindus (Guru Nanak Dev ji % Rakhri photos, The Gurus in the cow photos, etc) Read more about that in Bijla Singh's articles on panthic.org go panthic.org and search "bijla" in the serch field, and you'll get like 10 articles on Hindu influence (not way too long) Also read this article (although a bit hateful against Hindus - so just be abit careful) http://www.searchsikhism.com/khalistan.html has some valueble information. Bhull chukk maaf
  24. Veer jeyo, firstly it's not nerve impulses that make animals feel pain, as you know but the adrenal hormones that are secreted into the blood. whilst it takes times for the adrenaline i.e the fear to arise in the animal, it cannot be argued that those animals slaughtered in a way where they are first made unconscious - i.e don't have a clue what is about to happen, do nto suffer. As for the PETA videos, we should be aware thta most of these are taken from the most extreme situations (I think), and tha in most modern countries slaughter doesn't occur like that (atleast where I live)... As for plants nto having a nervous system is just another way of comparing human/animal characteristics to plants... although the plant dones't have any nervous system per say, it must have some kind of system equivilent (which I am unaware of), which i will try to research more about. bhull chukk maaf..
