  1. Not anytime soon bro.......... That was gross. You know when I was younger I often used to think the whole suchum and jhoota thing was some sort of pakand. Now that I'm older and wiser and have learnt just how f**king nasty strangers can be, I get it! I full on get it! My moms NEVER ate out, and always said she didn't trust the places making the food. I used to think this was overkill but now.... Plus all the stuff I read from the Ranjit Singh's raj's time, where only a certain person was allowed to cook the rajah's food and then they put it in a locked box, of which only the raja and the cook had a key makes sense - not only to thwart assassination by poisoning, but also some nasty, dirty malicious stuff.
  2. People should watch this. So that we know what kind of weaponry is now floating around in the region of our ancestors.............thank's uncle sam! Giljaan de lottery lagh gi!
  3. Whose got 3 hours+ to watch one of them films anyway????

    Departure?

Bhai ji, did you get medical advice? Is it corona?
  5. He only looks slightly more silly than this to me:
  6. Police PR chief, 42, is attacked outside court after avoiding jail for possessing child abuse images John William Green, 42, spared jail for possessing indecent pictures of children As he left Teesside Magistrates Court he was grabbed by the head and mask Green was then chased up the court ramp as he should 'help, help' A former police PR chief has been attacked outside court after he was jailed for possessing child abuse images. John William Green, known as Will Green, was head of corporate communications at Cleveland Police when he accessed indecent pictures of youngsters. He was spared jail at Teesside Magistrates' Court today but as he left the building an attacker grabbed his head and his mask then chased him up the court ramp as Green shouted 'help, help'. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9922867/Police-PR-chief-42-attacked-outside-court-avoiding-jail-possessing-child-abuse-images.html
  7. Bottom line is: can the majority of people be trusted to vote in the right people. It's obvious that isn't the case. People vote for wrong reasons all the time, hordes of people are f**king idiots too and believe whatever horseshyte a politician they like the look of says. You can buy block votes. Look at Badal. Look at how stupidly some people would just keep voting in the same families in again and again whether the Gandhis or Kennedys. Plus some pendufied type tribal people are probably better off under a strict, harsh autocrat leader than some democratically elected one. Look at what democratically elected committees have done to the spiritual status of many Gurdwaras.
  8. So what are we saying in the last few posts? That we don't have it bad enough as a community to actually pull off a 'fight for freedom'.
  9. I think even Hitler's party was democratically elected, and look what evil crap they got up too. Democracy doesn't really mean anything. Someone will promise the earth to get elected, and then do whatever the f**k they want to do when they get in, and you can't do anything about it for the full term. Tony Blair is the perfect example. An elected person from a Labour background who turned out to be a warmongering war criminal.
  10. And they'll be getting manipulated into dying by people who innately gravitate to leadership positions, say all the right things, fool the masses, whilst only having selfish objectives.
  11. That's what I'm thinking. That Jagjit Singh book pretty much explicitly states as much. He uses this phenomena to explain the lack of fight against the british in comparison to the afghs/mogs. People only sacrifice or put up with hardships if they have a very strong belief in the 'ideological' basis of what they are fighting for. Be this 'religious' or political.
  12. Some strong points there. If sociopathy is as rampant in the rural community as it appears, could it be it's just that coming out of the shadows, in a climate where it isn't something to be ashamed about anymore. Which could explain what you're saying.
  13. CBBC presenter, 32, nicknamed 'Sizzlin' Steve' sobs in dock as he admits having stash of extreme animal porn which was found on his phone Stephen Kish, 32, pleaded guilty to one count of possessing extreme images Police found six grossly offensive images on his phone and computer Former TV presenter, from Hove, was bailed and will be sentenced in October A CBBC TV presenter has sobbed in the dock as he admitted having a stash of extreme animal porn on his phone. Stephen Kish, 32, known as Sizzlin’ Steve when he was a host on CBBC show Officially Amazing, pleaded guilty to one count of possessing extreme images. Police found six grossly offensive images on his phone and computer showing a person having sex with an animal, Lewes Crown Court heard. The former TV presenter took off his glasses and cried into his facemask before a hearing in Chichester, West Sussex. Kish, who ran Brighton dog boarding business Tails of Love, spoke only to confirm his name and enter his guilty plea. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9922039/CBBC-presenter-32-nicknamed-Sizzlin-Steve-sobs-dock-admits-having-stash-animal-porn.html
  14. I don't know. Having open, unconditional loving relationships with kids doesn't seem a norm in the community?
  15. I don't think that is entirely true. The women used to get worked hard a few generations ago, from turning grain seeds into flour with a chaki, help carrying stuff, some even helped in the fields, turning mountains of cowsh1t into a fire source, they lived quite physical lives themselves a few generations back. And I can verify that from what I saw with my own eyes as child. What you're seeing now isn't indicative of the past. It's the same with today's 'putt jut de', I know for a fact in the past they weren't reliant on bhiayas like they are now. They'd be grafting themselves, sometimes having to toke some afeem to keep going. This modern crap appears to be the result of spoiling kids and giving them some sense of unearned privilege?
  16. He wants to be careful he isn't advertising himself for a robbery! lol
  17. If you grew up outside of India in a working class 'multicultural' area, you wouldn't say that. Some people seem more prone to fight back even against heavy odds.

It’s only been a few years since the arts of archery and stick fighting were discussed in such a way that should [today's] young British-educated men have heard it, they would've considered it astounding. Sardars like Amar Singh Majittia, Buddh Singh, Wasava Singh Sandawalia and many other chieftains could shoot arrows straight through [metal] cauldrons; their arrows striking whichever targets they desired. Bhai Mani Singh ji’s nephew, [who was] the author of this historical document's forefather [called] Baba Dargaha Singh ji could 'pierce the word' meaning that even in the dark, they could accurately shoot an arrow into the mouth or body of anyone who made a sound. In the town of Kankhal these matters are spoken of by many men and they will inform you of as much because they [the previously mentioned sardars] used to go there. Even their camp is well known at that place. There, they shot arrows straight through many trees and I have seen stick fighters who have reached a point where they can keep a crow trapped underneath a bed. I’ve seen other materials of war like steel chainmail, belts, body armour and helmets that were so heavy that the strapping youth of today would just about be able to pick them up and those Singhs would go to war wielding and wearing weaponry and chainmail that was twice as heavy or they would undergo forced marches of approximately 50 kilometres (20 koh) with such weaponry and armour. They would only stop to rest after reaching destinations roughly 100 kilometres away and that too carrying any looted materials that came to hand. I I believe that the young, strapping lads of today may have trouble accepting such strength and martial skills to be a reality because they haven't even seen those bows, let alone string one. In this fashion, many arts and skills - after reaching a highly developed stage become extinct at the hands of time. Prior to 1914 Bikram there were quivers packed with many varieties of arrows, guns, matchlocks, stone-cutting sabres, javelins, spears and pikes. Coats of mail and armoury, as well as weaponry such as punch daggers, Afghani stilettos, revolvers, pistols, shields and so forth were kept in each and every home. All the people would be learning or teaching the art of weaponry, and even whilst seated within their own homes they remained as true soldiers. Even for those of us that continue to practice these martial arts, they are beginning to feel like a dream. In about fifty years these arts will be lost completely and [their existence] considered a lie. This is the way other professions and skills continue to change - their development and destruction a constant occurrence. Look, there was a time when men were forest-dwellers and lived in caves up on mountains, and slept peacefully under trees without any mattress; nowadays even a soft, smooth velvet bed is considered uncomfortable. Sometimes they covered their nakedness with fig leaves and tree bark, but in these days even a wide variety of silk garments aren't satisfactory. There was a time when people used to eat things like leafy greens [ਸਾਗ ਪੱਤ੍ਰ], root vegetables [ਕੰਦ ਮੂਲ], the pods of the Prosopis cineraria tree [ਜੰਡ ਫਲੀ], as well as the fruits of the Capparis aphylla tree [ਡੇਲਾ - literally 'eye-ball' due to shape and size of the fruit] and the Garcinia Morella tree [ਪੀਲੂੰ ] and thank Waheguru [these are examples of very common, simple food]; now 36 varieties of food are unpalatable. It used to be difficult to cross over a smallish river as pulling the boat across was exhausting. On [larger ships] people would repeatedly peer into the sky, painfully awaiting favourable winds to power their sails; whereas crossing massive rivers is easy with the help of steam boats and bridges today. Sending letters used to be difficult, now news from thousands of miles away arrives rapidly. Traveling 100 or 150 kilometres (40/50 koh) used to be a sure sign of death, but now trains can carry you thousands of kilometres away singing you a lullaby whilst you sleep. The books that even wealthy people had difficulty in procuring can now be found for practically free in beautiful, clear, printed publications. People would shudder in fear at the thought of traveling 25 kilometres wearing white clothes; now people toss gold around and no one gives it a second look. It used to be difficult to find a single educated man; now there are people educated in English, Urdu and Gurmukhi present in each and every house. Even thick cloth was only available after imploring a weaver to weave it, but today, with the aid of machinery, hundreds and hundreds of maunds [an Indian unit of measurement] of pure cotton muslin and other desirable (?) cloth are prepared in a matter of hours. Things that even the wealthy obtained with great difficulty are now openly worn by poor people. ...now large, beautiful temples aren’t satisfactory. And in this way, all types of goods catering to your ease are being manufactured on a daily basis. Now, in your mind contemplate and examine: Is all of this derived from your own intelligence, which Ishwar has blessed you with in a greater abundance to the rest of humanity? Then be grateful [to Ishwaar] and accept it all to be a gift. Look, more than four hundred years ago these very English, who today are becoming shining rays of skill and intelligence; even their forefathers used to live in forests wearing clothes made from leaves and skin; they would paint their bodies [presumably a reference to woad] and live like savages. Plus there was such a level of ignorance that once, upon losing a battle (and considering this to be the consequence of the displeasure of their great idol-deity), they sacrificed four hundred of their male children in order to satiate him.
  19. A robust economy bhai ji. I do gardening over here in the UK, and I can already tell the weather is becoming very strange and unpredictable. Farming wise we should maybe just focus on localised top quality nutrition (i.e. self sufficiency) for the immediate region. Maybe sell some overflow outwards. If we get the economy right we can raise prices of food. We should avoid mass growing as much as possible because of water table. We should also try and get into the international sukha market perhaps? We'll need our own morphine so we should also have pharmaceuticals. Making parcetamol etc. That should create jobs. We need to be involved heavily in tech too. We should have our own Silicon Valley. In the modern day and age this also relates to defense. That will create jobs. Arms manufacture is an important one too. In order to keep the region stable and safe, we need a heavily militarised population. Manufacturing and repairing modern weapons should be prioritised. Remember everyone who wants to enslave us will want to disarm us. Instead of running around trying to find ashters we should be able to make and repair them. We can have a respectful tourism economy too. Not let any kunjurs in, but maybe a steady flow of income from people visiting itihaasic Gurdwaras. The ways we can go is only limited by our imagination and abilities.
  20. Make sure you guys don't let the angreez sups sneak into the middle of it again. That's why we are where we are over there.
