    bhaji is absolutely right. I never see people talking about naam abhyaas or genuine questions regarding spirituality. for example, when i went to tao forums , just by chance, i found people asking genuine questions regarding their spiritual experiences.

I hate this phucker so much , because of his appearance all sikhs are in deep sht. these terrorists sullay have ruined it for us sikhs. the irony is we have such a bad history with mughals and jihadis type. but america and people are too dumb to know a difference between sikh and a muslim.

    I stayed in New York for a year ..didnt have much problem with Guru Jis Kirpa. But once a bunch og high school kids called me osama, when I was going in a car. Other than that, no major issues.

    If it makes you happy & feel closer to Guru , go for it. Anything that brings you closer to your Guru , should be encouraged. I dont think of any restriction that only a amritdhari can wear it. But just keep in mind, whenever you wear chakar, your image will be uplifted in people minds and they will think of you as a great spiritual person because of your bana, so your each and every action will be scrutinized. In that regards you will have to be careful not to send off a wrong message or hurt anyone. When you wear a Bana, peoples expectations of you increase.

    We need security guards in Gurdwaras. Either pay them or have Singhs voluntarily do this sewa. Our Guru is our King, our Royal Highness, it is only fit that Pehredars are a must. Its a sign of royalty & respect for our Guru Ji. Also Bibian need to be more careful & vigilant when alone in places, at off hours. And given the recent attacks, we should be more vigilant esp when a shady looking person enters. Just given the current situation in west, Sikhs need to be more vigilant & aware in general.

    Usually when we have doubts in our mind there is an underlying issue that we are not aware of yet. Think through it properly, dont rush yourself or force yourself in marriage. Once, you are married you are done, there is no turning around. So take your time with it and think with your brain.
