My dad set up an account with that icici bank which is similar to punjab bank and he found it to be a waste of time. He set it up in India and it took a long time. We were told we have to make an adhaar card first which took a long time and then they asked for all sorts of other things (i don't know how many of the rules they were making up as they were going along) This was around the time modi was getting rid of the 1000 rupee note so maybe that delayed the process

It was very uncomfortable as the man showing me the video and grinning while watching it is old enough to be my father and has kids older than me. I really wanted to tell him i don't want to watch it but i didn't want to offend him or his culture as it was a video of his people celebrating the new era of Pakistan with Imran Khan as prime minister. LOL! yes his father did have weaknesses but at least he did a lot for Sikhs. He was a humble man especially when it came to Sikhi.

That photo of him where he's fat and sitting on the chair is from the 1880s. Absolutely, he supposedly got reintroduced to Sikhi when his mother Maharani Jind Kaur was given permission by the British to live with him in the UK and she touched his face(she was near blind) and was disappointed when she felt no dhari or dastar. He then apparently had a spiritual awakening and got back into Sikhi. That is a big fat lie. She most likely was horrified when she felt no beard or hair on him but he definitely did not go back to sikhi. Even if you look at photo's of him after rani jind kaurs death he is a monah with no dhari! He was given permission to take rani jind kaurs remains to Bombay and cremate her, on his way back he married some half Ethiopian/German Christian girl called Bamba. He was an alcoholic and hardly gave much time to his wife and kids and spent most his time with prostitutes and wasting money on gambling . His wife was penniless and rejected, she became depressed and started drinking heavily and died of liver failure. his kids were raised my nanys and didn't have much of a childhood. He had very little contact with his kids and never visited them, he only wrote a letter like once a year. He then went to France and wasted whatever money he had on more gambling and prostitutes and died with nothing! his flop attempt to go back to Punjab and run "his" empire had nothing to do with Sikhi but was his hunger for wealth and status. I really don't understand why some sikhs celebrate his life and have started giving him an important status!

Interesting but I don't understand why some sikhs look up to him or see him as a iconic figure and the rest of it. I'v read his biography and his life was just full of sex, alcohol and gambling and near the end regrets. Even his daughters were better than him

Indian politicians and patriotic Indians have always viewed anything that questions or threatens the so called "unity" of the country as a threat. That's the reason why minorities have always be suppressed and not given a voice. Its the very reason that sikhs jains and Buddhists are classified as Hindus. In the past and even today the central government have used language like hindi as an attempt to bring the country under one banner which clearly hasn't worked especially in the south where the locals set hindi sign boards on fire. Its the reason why sikhs are suppressed. The more sikhs start learning about their faith the less they will identify themselves with India and as Indians, sikhs are systematically being brainwashed in punjab and driven away from their faith. Most the sikhs who were murdered back in the 70s 80s and 90s were singhs. The government uses hindu national parties like the rss to fade the lines between sikhi and Hinduism in a attempt to weaken sikhi and brainwash sikhs. Media is controlled by the government too and the music videos and lyrics are filth. Alcohol and drug mafia is ran by the government which further weakens sikhi and the youth. Governments around the world makes millions from drugs, alcohol and tobacco.

This woman is venomous, she has nothing but hate and venom coming out of her mouth. i came across her videos yesterday and it made my blood boil, i had to go outside for a 30 min walk to calm myself down lol I am surprised that she is not locked up behind bars, are there no laws against hate speech in india? can you just upload a video and speak whatever trash about any ones faith? This is why i hate that country, absolutely lawless. In one of her videos she said that Sikhs removed the janeu and decided to wear dog collars instead referring to the gatra/kirpan. How can she get away with saying that? She then keeps saying Sunny Leone Kaur and that not all girls are indecent like Kaurs. She even said bad things about Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, Guru Gobind Singh ji and Mata Sundri, things so bad that i don't even want to write them.
