  1. Bro this should help helped me get my pronunciation of all the ts and ds right. Few minutes everyday should be good and after you get the hang of it go onto youtube and watch the read along versions of nitnem.
  2. There's a few people that wear these black strings with beads around their arms for so called protection against spirits and nazar. Have no idea how a string can protect you. Same with rakhri. People blindly follow hindu rituals instead of Sikhi because they haven't been educated. The hard bit though is to tell them what they're doing isn't in accordance with sikhi because sometimes these types people get offended and may just call you Khalistani extremist and end the convo there.
  3. Understand but thought it might encourage others and by Gore I didn't mean just white people but all. You've probs seen the Dastaar tying events that go on and it shows that if people of other faiths like the Dastaar we should too - that was my point.
  4. Dastaars are our pride. Don one, you'll feel like Maharaj is holding your head. It'll look good too. Gore love it when there are people tying Dastaars on them and you won't have to worry about a chunni falling off.
  5. maybe one jathedar aswell whose more aware of worldy circumstances and Panj Pyare having also an advisory role like Banda Singh ji Bahadur.
  6. best fat loss method is to do intermittenet fasting e.g. having an 8 hour eating window in the day and 16 asting hours or even 6 hours eating window and 18 hours fasting, in addition to HIIT exercise. This also means you should have recommended calorie intake too but you can lower it by a few hundred if you wish. Also calories burnt are also not necessarily fat, normally glucose is burnt off from your glycogen stores so having thay that intermittent fast depletes those stores and then exercise can really have an effect on your body so more fat can be burnt. Also have only 3 meals a day with no snacks so insulin doesn't increase as much - insulin promotes fat but exercise promotes growth hormone for muscle. They don't like each other that much so having on 3 meals means you will build muscle quicker too and in turn burn more fat in the long run.
  7. They have been spying on us for years. I don't really want us to disclose too much online because you never who will find out but they've been under our noses. They're waiting to see if the lions have woken up yet.
  8. Deepa Bhaji did another video exposing her on Sikh Youth UK
  9. I don't how this is happening. They're not letting Sikhs carry Kirpans in our own places. https://www.tribuneindia.com/news/punjab/golden-temple-fortified-ahead-of-bluestar-anniversary-92533 Tribune News Service Amritsar, May 31 Ahead of the Operation Bluestar anniversary that falls on June 6, the police have tightened security in and around the Golden Temple, stopping devotees from entering the shrine complex. This comes in the wake of clashes between SGPC workers and pro-Khalistan activists in the Golden Temple in recent years. A police officer said, “We apprehend that some Sikh activists might gather inside the shrine in advance. Moreover, we want to ensure social distancing in view of the Covid pandemic.” Section 144 has been imposed, and carrying any weapon, including the “kirpan”, has been banned. Akal Takht officiating Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh is yet to take a call on the programme. His “parallel” counterpart Bhai Dhyan Singh Mand, however, has said he would offer at Akal Takht and deliver a “public address”. — TNS
  10. Veer ji watch this video, both Sakhis are about people that live in countries with not many Khalse but Guru Sahib comes for special ones.
  11. this is a very very good lecture on Karam. Must watch!!! More Sakhis
  12. This Sakhi is really touching too. Found it on Gurmat Bibek website. Vaheguru “Panjva Bhejo naa” Once a principal of a village school in Punjab, invited Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Ji and his fellow singhs to do an akhand keertan samagam in his village. This samagam was to be a 4-day samagam and began on a Wednesday. Lots of school children attended it and some of them expressed their desire to do amrit chhak. The amrit sanchaar was to be done on Sunday, the last day of samagam. On Thursday evening, the school principal sent a message to Bhai Sahib requesting him to prepone the Amrit Sanchaar. The principal was worried that 3 days of time might change the minds of amrit abhilakhi children. Bhai Sahib agreed to prepone the samagam and decided to conduct it next day (Friday) morning. In the morning, one of the Bhai Sahib’s fellow singhs came to him and said that they were one singh short for serving on Panj pyaare. He also said that if we go to the city for bringing a singh, it would be almost evening by the time we return. Bhai Sahib said only Guru Sahib can find a way out now. He came to the main hall in the village gurdwara and asked all of the sangat to recite a paath of Siri Japji Sahib before doing the ardaas for the Fifth Singh. After the recitation of Siri Japji Sahib, Bhai Sahib started doing the ardaas and by the time conclusion came, Bhai Sahib said O Sachhe Patshaah 'Panjva Bhejo na” He kept on saying “Panjva Bhejo naa” (send the fifth singh to serve as Panj Pyaara), “Panjva Bhejo naa” Since, such a great Gurmukh was doing ardaas, how could it go unfulfilled. ਬਿਰਥੀ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥ The prayer of the Lord's humble servant is never offered in vain. ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋਰੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਿ ॥2॥13॥77॥ Nanak takes the strength of the Perfect Lord of the Universe, the treasure of excellence. Simulatneously Guru Sahib was doing kirpa and making arrangements for Bhai Sahib’s ardaas to be fulfilled. A Gurmukh Pyaara (Bhai Sahib’s very good friend) was passing through the village and seeking directions to go to the city, unaware that Bhai Sahib was in the village. Suddenly, this Gurmukh Pyaara saw a beautiful Baana-clad Singh riding a bicycle coming towards him. Before this Grumukh could ask him for directions for going to the city, this Singh said, "are you looking for the place where Bhai Randhir Singh ji is doing samagam?" The Gurmukh said. "Oh Bhai Randhir Singh ji is in town." He said yes and gave him directions to the school. When this Gurmukh reached the village gurdwara, he saw Bhai Sahib in complete Bairaag avastha, with tears rolling down from his eyes, saying “Panjva Bhejo naa”. This Gurmukh asked a person in the gurdwara as to what for was Bhai Sahib doing ardaas. He explained the situation to him and then this Gurmukh said “Panjva aa gaya” (the fifth singh to serve as Panj Pyaara has arrived). After this, Bhai Sahib completed the ardaas and then met his old friend. Both of them hugged and were completely in tears. Bhai Sahib asked his friend: "how come you are here?" He replied, "I was passing by and a beautiful Baana clad singh directed me towards you." One wonders who that beautiful Baana clad singh was? The fifth Singh was Sant Bhai Hira Singh Daudpuri, whose jeevan has been written in Ranglay Sajjan by Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee. Bhul chuk di khima Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh
  13. Didn't she also work for Sikh Channel - a Sikhi Prachar channel where so many groups like Basics of Sikhi and Sikh2Inspire talk on?
  14. https://www.youtube.com/user/JDCav24 This guy is insane you should watch him
  15. Funny thing is, Bhagat Farid Ji wasn't even a Muslim after they met Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaaj.
  16. What is the best beard oil brand you've come across?
  17. Yeah don't worry Bhaji. After seeing that video of that Musalman teacher beating kids in his class, I'm shocked that no one's really reported it. tbh I do agree fully that we shouldn't be giving food to people who are already fed and getting regular donations We should help our panth instead of theirs.
  18. Okay this is absolutely disgusting behaviour and I agree that we should be aware of these Muslims but my point was that not everyone is like this. That is not me embracing this behaviour. You guys are right that more steps should be take to make us lot aware of the atrocities and more than equally, prachar should be done so that none of us get tricked into believing that the Quran will 'heal us'. yeah that could be the case. I'd say more on the optimistic side than naive, I didn't really think that people are that horrible (must be cos I'm younger) but I'll do some more digging into it Veer ji
  19. I think it's definitely too harsh to call them future terrorists and really I do think kind acts like langar can give a positive effect. Guru Maharaj made a mosque for the poor muslims of Sri Hargobindpur. However I do think that we should focus on Sikhs first you guys can go on about Kafir this that but at the end of the day the children have potential and if that compassion makes a seed within them then that's win. Let's stop hating and focus on Sikhi first
  20. honestly the youth should take over a Guru Ghar, make good decisions and once the good kushbu starts to spread, the other Gurdwaras will notice and be like why are they getting so much Sangat? we should have more prachar in english in the Gurdwara (so the people who don't know Panjabi can understand at least a little and stay connected with their roots), more classrooms so different age groups can have their own tailored talks, healthier Langar and even a gym so our lot don't get bullied for being fat and are actually hench Singhs and Kaurs. If someone knows coding they could make a rate my Gurdwara app and have sections like which Gurdwara have the best kirtan teachers (e.g. Tanti Saaj), best Panjabi class, healthiest langar - organic idk, maybe even have a Gurdwara v Gurdwara sports tournament. Slowly, slowly even if the oldies are in charge they'll be like how dare we not be in first place or have higher rating and this will breed healthy competition, making them actually care about the Gurdwara because the committee vale need the Sangat and if the Sangat are at the Gurdwara with the better Panjabi class, what are they gonna do; Drink more Cha? Then this will be like Swarag on earth because everything is going to plan, people are getting Anand and actually enjoy Sikhi. In Puratan times is what the Gurdwara was like. Kirtan, Horse riding, Santhiya, Katha, exercise.
  21. Think about Southall Nagar Kirtan from scotland to southall ?
