  1. Let daas share something. There’s a young user here who’s posted thousands and thousands of times. Daas looks at their profile and wants to scream at the thought of how many hours of their life they wasted away on here. Early last year they sent daas a message saying after reading your posts I started doing simran, an hour each morning and evening. Daas has to respect privacy so can’t share more, but basically they’ve tasted that ultimate bliss which can only be found inside, the thing all our souls been searching for, for millions of lifetimes. They were curious on how to go deeper into it. Daas gave the example of trying to find something in the back of your wardrobe, first you got to reach in then you have to rummage around. It might take time but keep searching and you’ll find it. Explained how most of all you can’t put a price on having ‘time’ available to search inwards. So said carry on with it, be patient, surrender to it, let the simran take you wherever it wants to. And when the moment of bliss comes enjoy it and thank him for it, cos you can’t put any price too on being happy. then they said I’m really sorry if I keep wasting your time by messaging you ? Just stared at that message for a while thinking you got no idea how beautiful it is, cos I’m a loner and it’s just nice to speak to someone ???. They didn’t come back on here after. If you think you guessed who that user is, do the best thing for them which is be happy for them, and be inspired. Please don’t tag them or mention their username. People praising you is one of the worst things. So daas would encourage switching off electronics which inject your head with so much negativity daily and focus on simran. You can’t control what’s happening in the world, but you can decide not to waste this life away like too many are doing
  2. There was a very respected Sikh general who will remain unnamed (around time of maharaja ranjit Singh). A person told him one evening, today 100 Sikhs were murdered. He replied “great the deadwood has been removed. We don’t need quantity we need quality.”
  3. Why is everyone so negative? Here’s a screenshot of something that was written by one of the most special users ever on this forum, Veer Harsharan Ji. It was regarding ‘falling’ after taking amrit. I keep this screenshot on my phone to read when things feel hard or testing. Like those people who want daas to carry on posting on spirituality, go read through @harsharan000ji’s posts, that user is daas’s role model for how to encourage someone with love, kindness and patience

  6. This is an inspirational read! Vaheguru ji
  7. Wedding ceremony is just about 2 people making a commitment to stay loyal to each other until death do them part. Hindu tradition of walking around fire is because fire is considered an ultimate power (cos it can burn anything). So it’s supposed to remind you if you break the promise you’ll get punished (in hell). In Sikhi we make the promise in presence of shabad-guru, cos that’s our everything So the most important thing is the ‘promise’. You know like in court people have to hold a bible and promise to tell truth. But for a Sikh they could hold a gutka sahib. It gives the court faith this person will be honest as they’re swearing upon the thing most sacred to them. Everything else - rituals, spending vast sums of money, ‘2 souls become 1’ is complete rubbish and fairy tales. Exactly this!
  8. Years of your life can pass where you won’t experience any bliss at all, it’s a test of faith. Even every single thing in your life can turn against you, it’s just tests. We should pray Guru sahib ji please don’t test me, but if you’re going to test me then please yourself help me pass the test. Shabad hazare bani is good when you stop feeling anand. For sure Guru sahib will let you feel bliss again. But what can be said of that thing because it’s beautiful beyond any logic or reason. So when that moment comes all you can do is thank him for it and enjoy it without trying to analyse or comprehend what’s happening or how it’s even possible
  9. ?? Hopefully you are ok now ?? Vaheguru ji ka Khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh ?
  10. Lostguy ji. Been thinking about you recently. You sure must have had down moments since we last spoke, I had some too ?. I just wanted to say hi ??and again that I love you . Plus here’s a cute emoji ?

  12. Very very sad news It’s the apaar kirpa and compassion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, daas found something special in this life. Went through hard things like grieving, bullying at school, depression and attempting suicide. Sangat ji daas isn’t even from a Sikhi background at all, nor from an area with much Sikhi. By his kirpa kept doing mool mantar, then age 16 darshan happened. Guru Sahib Ji personally gave daas jugat of dasam duar. Past few years daas has lived very gupat remaining hidden from the world. Only people in my life now are parents, work colleagues and few family friends. Life is very isolated and lonely. There’s a huge opportunity to write guidance on naam simran covering current issues - depression, mental health, suicide, social media too! Hopefully in around 1 week new project could be ready to share now.
  13. Thanks for letting us help. It takes courage to write about your personal life on a forum. What even is depression? It just means you didn’t find happiness outside and now you feel upset. Gurbani tells us happiness is inside. A person at uni asked me why don’t you drink? I said this body is a temple not a graveyard. Within this body is a hidden treasure. You’re not interpreting anything wrong. You’re on a journey of finding true happiness (within). Gurbani is stern just like when your parents shout at you, they love you deep down, they’d sacrifice anything for you, but there’s a reason they shout (cos you didn’t listen the first time). Sikh - What should I do Guru sahib? Guru ji - jaap naam Sikh - ok satbachan. We just can’t say satbachan, none of us can. That’s why Guru sahib have to be stern
  14. Since writing your post I hope you’ve had some ‘up’ moments. Where something makes you laugh ?, a good memory comes back ?or maybe that good feeling after doing exercise ??. Because that’s the reality of life - Ups and Downs

  16. Updated - 15 Dec 2021 There’s 2 upcoming Amrit Sanchaar in December 2021 > Sat 25th - West Bromwich > Mon 27th - Wolverhampton Posters attached
  17. Thank him daily for blessing you with jaap of sri sukhmani sahib, ask forgiveness of mistakes in reciting and seek his blessings that nirbiganta sehat jaap may continue to completion. Pray too, he forever bless you to keeping holding the palaa of durh ki baani. Unlike so many who wasted their life following fake gurus, useless rituals and other nonsense. The jott is already shining within you ?
