Brother...I treat alcohol like tobacco and any other intoxicant, but it doesn't change the fact that they are both intoxicants and can be used medicinally.

What if tobacco is used medicinally? Why is it less of a kurehit to get intoxicated by 1 substance and lose your senses compared to another intoxicant? Why to live in Miri does one have to have alcohol? If you can avoid it....avoid it!

There are toothpaste and mouth wash without alcohol. Usually the cake and chocolate with alcohol comes from the vanilla extract and there is vanilla extract without alcohol. As for cologne and deodorant, there are alternatives as well but I wouldn't say its necessary as we don't eat or drink it. I don't think it dissolves only in alcohol. When I went to the pharmacy there was Ashwaganda without alcohol and there was also with alcohol. Just like there is different accents for English, there are slight variances in the speaking. In Gurmukhi, its best to follow the santhiya as it is the most reliable source

Some people have a more emphasis on the hh instead of the Ch, creating a sh sound. Try to see if anyone in ur area teaches santhiya, and start with baal updesh to get the proper pronunciation.

I think a lot of the teachings of these prophets have been distorted to an extent which is why I think it was great foresight on the Gurus part to create literature and approve literature along with of course compiling Sri Guru Granth Sahib, that way, there would be less distortion of the messages...
