    The difference between Christian baptism and Amrit Sanchar is that they only believe in this life, so at least on some stance it kinda makes sense why they’d baptism kids. But in Gurmat we have reincarnation, and by Karams we are given certain lives, but ultimately have to decide for ourselves. A lot of high quality Gursikhs did take Khand-Di-Pahul as infants though, like Surrinder Singh Sodhi, but it shouldn’t be mainstream.

    IDK what decision OP went with, but most ex-Amritdharis tend to be extremely cynical and many mostly lose the faith so far that it's a surprise that at one point they were Amritdhari. You don't just leave Amrit when you choose you leave Amrit, but you lose Sikhi itself, (and the spirit of Sikhi).
