isnt Guru Jis darbar the tent that Guru Ji is placed in and not the whole park! for e.g just as much as u cant stop someone drinking/smoking in the park outsaide the tent - u cant stop someone drinking/smoking outside a Gurdwara!

Preferably not that last one!" when the outcome is GURU then an image of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji is displayed. found the actual image on google and can be seen below the application is created by a website called pogostick.com - http://www.pogostick.com/?p=17 the only contact i can find is where it says - "Another collaboration with comedian Steve Hofstetter!" if you click on "steve hofstetter" it takes you to his website where you can click "email" and email him. I've already emailed him stating that the image isn't suitable for the application, is hurtful to the sentiments of sikhs and if he could contact pogostick and get it removed or giv me a contact for them Its the same thing as that "poker guru" problem that occured a while ago where the sangat came together and had the image of Guru Nanak Dev Ji removed from a gambling website again the sangat is needed to stop this beadbi - please email this guy and tell him the image needs to be removed and sangat ji please dont get angry and write anything inappropriate - if someone could put together a generic email or something it would help Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh

I just dont understand wats happening with the sikh youth of today! Theres gurbani quotes on this thread that explain everything in black and white regarding true sants and theres many more that explain it further but we still dont want to read them and take them into account...........instead we jus turn it around to mean something else that suits wat we think for eg... Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl: That life, which has no contact with the Holy saints, is useless Joining their congregation, all doubts are dispelled, and I am emancipated. ||1|| its written in black and white.....but wats the response - "Could it mean the Saints of that time ??" where the hell does it say its about the saints of this time that time etc??? if it doesnt say anything about which era etc - who the hell is anyone to add in their thinking to make people see it in a different way?? im sorry if iv said anything wrong but the youth of today need to wake up and read bani and take it for what it says rather than interpret it the way that suits thier thinking. THE THINKING OR EVERY GURMUKH SHOULD BE MOLDED AROUND GURBANI NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND.

i dont think all peaceful means have failed....if Jathedars have given 10 days for govt to do something i think we should all wait until then....if that fails then id say all peacful means have failed! we all need to undestand the jathdars jus cant say lets go and kill this guy, they have to do it the diplomatic way first!

this is happening all over the show, up and down the UK theres Gurdwarae with these party halls, its a common site nowadays, this is an issue that we have all seen for a cuple of years now and as sikhs WE are all guilty of brushing this issue under the carpet. Committees wil use the following excuses to fob off concerned sangat - theyl say its not funded by the gurdwara, its got a seperate commitee etc thats all gud but the beadbi still happening on Gurdwara premisis and the committee were obviously the ones that gave the go ahead - nobody jus starts building a hall and having partys with meat and alcohol on Gurdwara premisis without getting permission first! this needs to be tackled because its getting out of hand now!

what hes trying to say is every1 seems to dis those that are trying to do something..........would you prefer those that try to do something to drink and do drugs rather than try their best to help the panth. i've noticed myself recently that those that try and help with beadbi, conversion issues etc etc are jus put down and made to feel that they are wrong by those that dont actually do anyhting to help themselves. i understand that some people have gone overboard in the past on certain occasions but that doesnt mean that they should be put down and made to feel as if they are doing wrong..........if you ask me its better to try help and get it wrong at times rather than sit at home and not try at all! bhul chuk maaf

i fully agree with what your sayin "sarpanch" - that at times we need to take up arms but theres one thing we all need to remember........we need to become saints first before attempting to become soldiers Baba Deep Singh didint fight with his hand on his head without doing a hundred odd Japji Sahib Paats a day Our Puratan Shaheeds didnt take Shaheedi without the large amount of Bani that was inside them. Sant Jarnail Singh and the Singhs with him didint fight a whole army without doing hours upon hours of Paat evryday I remember a sakhi from the Jeevan of Shaheed Bhai Avtar Singh Brahma and Shaheed Bhai Hardev Singh Bapu.........Bhai Hardev Singh travelled to Punjab from the UK to help the Kharkoos Singhs with the freedom movement......he went to join Bhai Avtar Singh and fight for Khalistan..........Bhai Avtar Singh asked him if he knew his Nitnem off by heart and Bhai Hardev Singh Bapu Said NO, Bhai Avtar Singh told him to go away and learn his Bani off by heart before coming back to fight for Khalistan as there would be times in the struggle where a Gutka would not be available. Bhai Hardev Singh humbly went away and did as he was told............he knew his Bani came first.....HE KNEW HE HAD TO FIRST BECOME A SAINT BEFORE HE COULD BECOME A SOLDIER. After he did so, he went back and became the only Shaheed Singh from the UK that fought in the movement. Bhul chuk maaf

Never mind those who drink, smoke and go clubbin and stuff, how about us Keshdharis, Amritdharis, those that dont drink and smoke, are we gud enuf to face Guru Ji if he cums back in human form???? Always look at the bad inside ourselves with a will to improve Hum Nahi Chunga Buraa Nahi Koi.

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh i think parchar is needed...but also te protest...these things must come hand in hand...akaash i understand ur point about the protests...n how it can create further problems, but i think it is difficult for any singh to sit n watch while guru ji is being disrespected in such away... in 1978 when 13 singhs became shaeedi...for what reason were they opposing the nirankaris?? because they were doing beadbi of guru ji...they were standing up for maharaj...they have showed us the way...but the problem we face is that it is our people who are disrespecting maharaj... so parchar is needed...we need to start telling students at sikh societies about the issues...they are the next generation to get married...if they know they hopefully wont follow in the footsteps of those doing it....we need lectures in gwaras. n leaflets, poters, etc.... just my 2 cents worth... i hope i havent offended any one... waheguru ji ka khalsa wahegur ji ki fateh!!!

slugz.............its right to respect pics and images of Gurus etc.......at the end of the day i wouldnt let a pic of our Gurus touch the floor or anything like that but u need to understand that our Gurus taught us that it was thier teachings that were the most important thing.....thats why Guru Gobind Singh Ji installed Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as our eternal Guru and ordered us to respect SGGSJ equally. its all good respectin the pics but we need to remember the teachings of our Gurus and follow them first as they are the most important things to any Sikh! i completely see what u r saying and it makes sense. however in practice i really doubt the majority of sikhs c this and do treat all the volumes of senchi sahibs as individual pothis just like a gutka sahib. i know most gurdwaras would keep senchi sahibs in cupboards and shelves & even many gursikhs just keep all the volumes of senchi sahibs @ home in cupboards. now if there needs 2 b sum kind of united front than every1 must practice what they preach out there. if volumes of senchi sahibs are not allowed in mandirs becus they represent a saroop of sri Guru granth sahib, then volumes of senchi sahibs should not be so freely sold in bookshops, music stores, clothes shops, gurdwaras. & they should be treated like u wud treat sri Guru Granth Sahib ji saroop in your house....there shud be no double standards.... is that a right asumption?? Fully agree!

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our Guru from beginning to end...........FROM THE FIRST WORD TO THE LAST. if 2 Senchia are together the only difference is the extra covers - which is insignificant! It is still Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. We should still respect them as Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh it is very strange how rode is released....surely any police officer in his right mind would find him a threat, especially as he's the president of the isyf, and he's found with explosives....so y has he been released??? how does rode,who has a nice big flashy house, a couple of gun men, a nice car with a driver....has all this money to afford to keep up these luxuries....but hasnt got a job.. what has the isyf ever done for the panth?? that is a real question...so if any 1 has any real answers please feel free to share their info... guru panth khalsa...bhai sahib has done a few weddings of shaeed parvars children...but surely not the amount he should have done...the amount of money that has been donated by the sangat over the years, especially during the 80's would total close to a million...in india thats alot of money...ur better off going to india and doing seva of familes yourselves, as alot of the singhs do nowadays...u cant trust ppl who live in big houses, have flashy cars, but dont have a job!! this recent news is nothing of a suprise waheguru ji kh khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

phenji ur right - protests should be done with pyare, simran, and with Guru Ji on our minds - but when the pushing and shoving etc takes place - please dont think that those involved dont have Guru Ji on thier minds, from what iv seen in recent protests this only takes place as a last resort!
