  1. hmmm I think these protests are pointless if we keep having the usual lot turn up. I mean look at them at the front of the barrier, how many of them actually can speak fluent english and able to express to the media and passers by what their cause is and why they protesting. It looks like a joke, the hindus had brains they didnt turn up lol. Compare these protests with those of Free Tibet, we can learn alot!
  2. Wahid Mohammed Saudi Arabia M, 36 Embraced Sikhism 27/12/04 Testimony "I can only find the teachings of Sikhism with no contradictions and total humanity as well as strict belief in One God, just like the Jews, Christians and Muslims. A through study of Sikhism, shows that love and peace is the ONLY way to meet with Allah (God)."
  3. I still think mann is the best non-violent leader for the aspirations of khalistan nationalists and those interested in sikh human rights. Others simply dont have the right political experience in dealing with media or the masses. Take chauhan for example no one takes him seriously cos he just chats crap and inflammes the situation during political sensetive times with mad predictions of khalistan being formed in 2007, hmmm right I'll believe it when I see it Mr chauhan.
  4. From what I know, Mann is the only major Sikh politician that commands respect from Sikh nationalists in India and aboard. I doubt there was any bad or negative intentions, towards the shaheeds of the panth, in his remarks.
  5. Who needs enemies when we have scum like this doing to fellow Sikhs. I knew most punjab politicians and the SPGC members were corrupt but this image just says everyhing. This picture says more than a thousand words could ever say about the current situation in punjab. Bring on the posters I say :TH:
  6. Geogre bush is not in charge of america, he is a simpleton, a media man, a spokes person, a front for the people who really are in charge and they are the big business co-operation owners and religious christian-judic neo-con right wing elite who fund and give the backing for projects and military activities. One good thing he has done, is tackling Islamic ideology and fundamentalists head on. Say if a moderate or liberal american leader had been in charge of USA. I gurantee within a few years we would have had a worser problem with Islamic nutcases killing large number of innocents than we have at the moment, because they would have grown in strengthen and the number of murderous jihadi's, like rats, would have become uncontrollable.
  7. Yeah I liked this story too. I also read a few of Bihari Hindus who embraced Sikhism a year ago but dunno if that story has been posted on the forums already. I even have proof and story of an Arab man living in Saudi Arabia who left Islam and embraced Sikhism. His reason stated was something like, Sikhism is the best way to worship Allah as he put it.
  8. Yeah its strange if thats the case. Maybe theres some high level corruption going on and to have these lodges dotted in countries around the world serves these peoples purpose. But any how, until theirs solid proof of the activities of the freemasons. We will not know whether they are harmless or have real influence in global geo-political matters.
  9. Theres a freemasons lodge in Punjab too which was created in 1920s long before partition of India and Pakistan. I saw someone post a story on it once cant remember which forum it was on but it showed a couple of white and punjabi dudes wearing turbans in a hall. What are freemasonery aims and objectives?
  10. Donno if this is old news but I found this story and thought I'd share it with the sangat. Tibetan family converts to Sikhism The Tribune Phagwara, September 1 When children of several Sikh families are falling victims to apostasy (patitpuna) in this hi-tech age, bitten by the fashion bug, a tribal Tibetan family of Arunachal Pradesh has converted to Sikhism after being bowled over by spiritually elevating gurbani kirtan they had heard at the Golden Temple. In a conversation with this correspondent here today, the tribal family said that it was on a padyatra to various religious places of the country. This family of five members (now six) had started from Arunachal Pradesh 15 months ago. It had covered one dozen states traversing about 5,000 km on foot so far. So much so that a child was born to the young daughter, Maya, at Mallian village near Amritsar and the boy was christened as Rahi Singh (one born on way). The villagers had greatly helped the family during the delivery of the child and housed it in the village for some days. It was about six months ago when they were on their way to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides Mr Phalamtok Kama and his daughter, Maya, Mr Kama’s young sons, Alchai, Thaisiag and son-in-law, Khihan, are also in the group. They had not heard about the quadricentennial celebrations of Guru Granth Sahib nor did they know anything about Sikhism when they had started from their home 15 months ago. However, the soothing and comforting gurbani kirtan mesmerised them and they instantly decided to turn Sikhs by tying the hair knots on their heads. The male members added the suffix Singh to their names while the lone teenager girl added Kaur to her name. They were honoured here today by Mr Iqbal Singh Kundi, vice-president, nagar council, Phagwara, and president of the Guru Nanak Mission Welfare Society. He also presented them articles of daily use. The family is now on its way back to Arunachal Pradesh but has pledged to come back to Punjab. They are wonderstruck by its spirituality and the hospitality of the people here.
  11. There need to be more women at all these kind of protests. If I was the average non-sikh british dude and looked at the protestors I would think only men were interested in seeing a free Khalistan. Why isnt their a female wing of Sikh political organisations in UK? Maybe one should be setup. BTW is the prime minister of Khalistan there in the pics too?
  12. And get locked up? self-defence? :TH: @ the number of one liner quotes
  13. Im think of taking it too, the degree I got hasnt got me any further up the career ladder. I'm in too minds to take either MSCA or A+. How much does a UK A+ course cost roughly? Is it useful in obtaining a qualification in this in regards to career prospects? and how?
  14. And get locked up? self-defence?
  15. I dont get it, why should a hard working proud decent american family Sikh man's life be worth any less? This has provided the perfect excuse for american Sikhs to use the right to bare arms shoot the next <admin-profanity filter activated> between the legs who tries it on with a Sikh.
  16. Im in too minds about india's independance cos Sikhs fought so much and gave their lives for "bharat mata" to free themselves from British imperialism/rule with the likes of the great shaheed udam singh and bhagat singh. Yet for all our forefathers shaheedi the Indian Sikhs got oppression, discrimination, religious interference from the state and genocidal state terror against them in all its forms. However the desire to belong or to be proud of a nation of your forefathers, Guru's, bhagats and hero's is great also. For all India's ill's if war broke out between India and Pakistan. I would always back India because it has the majority of Sikhs in the world and most of our holiest shrines.
  17. So can't anyone question the validity or authenticity of a story before we accept it as truth or do we all act like sycophants, like many in this thread, meaninglessly getting all upset over a story. ITS PATHETIC! The reason why im skeptical is because it doesnt sound right, usually I can sympathise with these kind of stories and dont bother posting but this one has taken the biscuit its ludacras the way as many individuals allegeded to have done what they did with her and she only comes now on forum, give me a break . I bet you even hollywood or bollywood film and scriptwriters would be staggered to believe this is not non-fiction. I rather be an <banned word filter activated> than guliable and niave to believe everything that people tell me as fact! I question and analyse everything and I know abuse goes on im not blind to that fact! Like I said usually I sympathise with kinda stories but this one tells me something not right here and thats why I posted. Arent I untitiled to have my views on the matter? Im not throwing a fit, im just making people aware that stories like this quite clearly creates a negative perception of males. I mean read her story again i mean <admin-profanity filter activated> its like most males in her life abusing her? If you studied sociology and psychology you would understand influences these stories can have and the subconsciencely changing of patterns in behaviour in relation to the opposite gender. What have I said that wants to slience anyone? All i've said is for people to not believe every story that is posted in this gupt section. I'm not the only one who found this story hard to believe others have also commented about about their doubts, yet they are shouted and looked down upon by likes of you. On the internet, you never can tell if something is fake or not, but you'd have to have no life and be pretty pathetic to make something like this up. I wouldn't be surprised if it was made up, though. Well some people are just attention seekers or <banned word filter activated> stirer's and I think its a load of b*llocks to be frank with you. Look at the title and read the story its slamming all or most males shes come across, I find it hard to believe that the male gender is that bad as she paints. I believe theirs more to the alleged alligations of abuse shes posted than she lets on. True I doubt any one doubts that abuse happens even in our community but posting up outlandish stories like this dont help anyone just makes things harder by creating divisions and negative perceptions of the genders. Admin has created a thread for people to report abuse and get help so positive steps have been taken to tackle this issue. http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?showtopic=20185
  18. I agree 100% I've read the story 4 times now and still I find it extraodinary and bizzare. I mean a case of sexual hassesment once or twice would be believable but 4 or more times by different individuals I mean either she is the un-luckiest girl in the world or this is yet another attempt by evil minded invidiuals to create sensetionalist nonsense in the guise of creating awareness when their actual agenda is to hate on sikhs or create suspicion/fear against a specific gender. Either way why would anyone go into such details and depth's with this story on a public reliigious forum.... @ some foolish ppl on the forum are so naive and gullable in the extreme for falling for such stories when theirs no shred of evidence and everyone is quick to jump on the bandwagon without anyalsis of the story and facts. You are mistaken. I did not go into details. I had mentioned in my post that I was not going to go into details because of innocent minds on this forum. If you found my post bizzare, then you do not have to reply to it, nor read it over again for the forth time. I was simply asking for people to look out for themselves and others. You asked for evidence. What evidence shall I give to you? Do you want to live in my house for a day and see how hard it is even to sit beside my father? Do you want me to show my face? Do you want me to come out into the public and say "I have been sexually abused these many times, by these many people while I was at a so-and-so location." ???? Would you believe me then? Is that what you want? For my identity to be revealed? If you can't put yourself in someone's shoes, that does not mean that whatever happened to him/her didn't happen. If you think that my post was false, and that I'm here to create disturbance, then I'm sorry. You do not have to reply to the topic if you do not wish to. No your case is very bizarre but if It's true then i apologise sincerely and you have my support. However this story sounds to me like an attempt to cast negative attitudes towards the male gender. Maybe you have a personal issues with sexuality and an agenda and you want to vent your frustration or something against particular people in your life. Waheguru only knows. But your case is just outlandish, I would have thought you being sexually haressed/abused once or twice you would have reported it but four or more times with different people and you only now come on forum to say this? What are your aims of this thread? what do you hope to achieve? Why not just ask bhanji's in pm on the forum in confidence for advice if you really was serious about this? This is not a matter to post willy nilly on a forum like this, posts like yours cast negtive perceptions on vast numbers of Sikhs in those who read stories like yours without a shred of evidence. That is why I have an issue with yout story and replying in this thread. ummm seriously what kinda Sikh are you? Your sick in the head  @ so we believe everything that people post yeah? what kinda retard believes everything and not questioning things they find odd or dont understand? Tomarrow someone can post anonymously how you "japmans" was doing things that were immoral or illegal with a guy online or something. And without a shred of evidence or understanding of the posters agenda others begin to jump on the bandwagon and start to think of you in negative light and perception. It's the same with this case.
  19. You nutta honestly how can you believe that crap when the pakis who suicide bombed london made testimonal videos in pakistan before carrying out their attacks and so did the arabs who attacked new york in 9/11/01. What is possible is the governments know about these attacks, that is they have prior knownledge, but do nothing to stop them and allow them to take place so that they can implement more restirctions on our civil liberaties and human rights in the guise of fighting terrorism. The more power governments have the less we citizens have and the more control they have over us, which is always a bad sign for heathly free and democratic society.
  20. the khanda is not a symbol of militancy dude get an education. It's the religious insignia of the Sikh faith. And yes I have had an england flag flying proudly from my car during the world cup.
  21. ...what's your point? this comment was just a waste of server space. We all like to bash hindus and muslims, and we all think we are perfect and havnt made any mistakes. We should just move on and stop worrying about other religions problems. bro, when other religions problems begins to impact on my religion (Sikhism) then its my problem and its all Sikhs problem too. Thats why we are discussing this topic and its relevant to todays political climate as it affects vast numbers of Sikhs in the west and else where around the world who are stigmatised, discrimated and victimised by the actions of a few islamic hellbound scum.
  22. The arabs have geniune greievences about usa/western foreign policy with its interest in oil producing countries and establishing military bases around the globe. But when the muslims use their religion as justification to fight against perceived injustices then it devalues their geniune misgivings done to them cos islamic ideology itself is based on so called prophet who justifies treating non-muslims inferior to muslims, had sex with 9yr girl, says to treat women like kids or animals with limited rights, killed and looted many jews for simply just being jews, the list goes on and on. Makes me sick knowing so many educated people who are brained washed and still stuck in islam because its easier to follow and sedued by all those lustful desires they are promised in this life and next and if they dont like it well allah will send them to hell forever, it shows its all based on fear. Shariah law even says if you leave islam you become a kafir their are allowed to be murdered.
  23. I'd like to know what religion this mugger *EDITED* was. Cos i heard bare somalians try it on with young and elderly asians and especially targetting non muslims down them ways.
  24. Mugger talked into giving himself up By Benedict Moore Bridger A MUGGER who tried to rob a man at knifepoint outside a Sikh temple was talked into giving himself up by his victim. A 60-year-old man from Southall had gone to pray at the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwarra in Havelock Road at 2.45am on Wednesday, August 2, when he was approached by a teenager who demanded his car keys. When he refused to hand them over he was allegedly punched in the chest before the youth pulled out a kitchen knife and began threatening him with it. continued... The man was so angry at being attacked outside a place of worship he tried to grab the knife and was cut on the finger. After scolding the teenager for his behaviour, the man ordered him to put the knife away because they were in a religious area. The youth did as he was told and was eventually led into the Gudwarra where he was detained and the police called.
