  1. how many people did sant jarnail singh ji follow? leaders lead, they do not follow. they listen but do not follow.
  2. im not an IKJ. and bittu is a "better" leader than mann
  3. manochahal wanted to partipicate in elections to get manjit singh elected as chief minister (which would never happen) - manjit singh (brother of amrik singh) is now a badal poodle. many people speculate here that bittu had made threats to kill mann and sohan singh at various times. if this is correct, it was not bittu alone. he had panjwar and bki with him. bittu always tries to gain consensus. mann is happy to go alone. that is why bittu is better.
  4. yes old news, badal used the singhs to attach the dera baba as the dera baba voted congress. now that the dera baba has been taught a small lesson, badal has dropped support to anyone wanting to attack the dera baba. mann is too old and is becoming like badal ie wanting his son to succeed him. this is very bad. bittu is good, at least he speaks out on real issues. mann says <banned word filter activated> things like bhagat singh is not shaheed - and just wants to get arrested all the time for publicity. mann has basically allied himself with zaffarwal issi and other militants who surrendered. what does this say about mann? zaffarwal hasnt even been to jail for any period of time yet this man was head of the kcf!!! surely he has struck a deal with the government! bittu and cheema have been in various jails for 20 and 15 years! bittu is allied with the 2nd panthic committee excluding sohan singh (ie bki kcf panjwar and ssf) cheema was ssf in USA. the ssf in UK supports bittu. mann needs to accept he is too old, too insane, too incoherent and that fresh blood is needed like bittu and not his son who has done little for the movement. mann does not appeal to the youth. he is living off what he did in the past. bittu is looking to the future.
  5. its bad someone gets killed with 15 others but at the end of the day she released hundreds of "boys" across the border with no arms or faulty arms so that they would be killed by the BSF and Indian Army. she didnt give them a chance. what goes around comes around.
  6. http://letbepeace.wordpress.com/every-thin...-singh-gurmeet/
  7. it actually appears that sohan singh was far sighted. he realised pakistan was fuelling violence not to help us but to create chaos. also he wanted to get involved in the elections which would have again showed a mandate in favour of khalistan at that time (1991). i do not see bad things in those.
  8. like i said, it wasnt just bittu. it was bittu panjwar bki sohan singh panthic committee. whether they were right or wrong is a different matter.
  9. the decision to get rid of sandhu was taken by the panthic committee (sohan singh), bittu was not the only one on that committee. panjwar and the babbars were too.
  10. yes everyone knows jasbir rode is a weak man. he is not a cat as such. just couldnt face torture in jail. so he came out with puran azadi in india. he is pro khalistani, just couldnt face the heat at the time.
  11. the book is in fact poorly written and is very biased towards the movement but the same can be said for anti khalistani books
  12. the silly fat man claimed in front of the akal takht that he would die if the army attacked the golden temple. he instead surrendered. therefore the singhs made him fufil his promise and sent him on his way.
  13. the common thought is that he is now dead
  14. i never said bhagat singh was a specific sikh shaheed - he died for india. it was wrong for mann to bring up a non issue at this time when the rss and shiv shena bjp congress are challenging sikhs openly in punjab and offering rewards to take down sant bhindranwale's picture - this shows mann's poor judgment. by saying he wasnt a shaheed will alienate lakhs of potential voters and supporters. mann is damaging the movement. mann has, however, done plenty for the movement - there is no denying that. but he needs to step down and let bittu come forward. mann is becoming like badal - mann is promoting his own son. this is wrong. mehtab singh - this is not an immature qns. it is a vital one. whilst there are two SAD (A)'s the vote bank is split. when there are splits there in no chance of victory. we are a long way from any victory and without a unified 3rd panthic front we have no chance at all. in my opinion mann is blocking this. another point is that panthic.org is pro mann. it has previously said that bittu and other singhs have met rulda singh the rss man. they may well have. but remember sant bhindranwale met with zail singh rajiv gandhi at a funeral in delhi in the early eighties. did that make him a congress agent? nope.
  15. bittu or mann? seems to me that mann is insane - declaring that bhagat singh is not a shaheed was a bad move even mann's speechs are a bit muddled bittu is much better any views?
  16. mann's popularity is confined to sangrur. we need a punjab wide leader bittu is a better speaker than mann bittu perhaps needs to soften tone to appeal to a wider audience his stance is good for us sitting in uk usa canada but wider people of punjab want to see economic policies more
  17. they are fat alcholics who run some gurdwaras in uk
  18. mann appears to be an <banned word filter activated>. all too often he is has made stupid political errors at crucial times. quote - "The allegations against us were absurd and uncalled for, said they. Rebutting Mann's allegations, they said we didn't meet Prime Minister. However, meeting PM was not a sin, argued KAC. "If it is a sin, than Mr Mann must explain as how many time he has committed this "sin" in his political career". everyone knows mann met the congress pm in the early 90's. that was why the babbars boycotted the elections and accused mann of selling out. out with mann and in with bittu. mann is like badal - interested in putting his son first before the panth.
  19. someone i know who has met him said he is a bit mad and goes off on tangents SAD (A) shows door to Bittu Tribune News Service Fatehgarh Sahib, August 26 Citing disciplinary reasons, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) today relieved Daljit Singh Bittu of the post of senior vice-president. Party president Sirmranjit Singh Mann said the party had to take this step keeping in view the “suspected” activities of Bittu, who, despite warning, had refused to fall in line. Bittu, who held the post of senior vice-president of the SAD (A), was also holding the post of convener of the Khalsa Action Committee (KAC). Mann had recently announced to break ties with the KAC and had also asked the partymen not to participate in any programmes of the KAC. But as Bittu refused to abandon the KAC, the party today announced his expulsion from the party. Mann said Bittu was trying to dominate the party leadership and, hence, such a step had to be initiated. Levelling serious charges against Bittu of having threatened partymen of dire consequences, Mann explained that he had allowed Bittu to join the SAD (A) last year considering that he had been rehabilitated and deserved a chance to reform. Mann said even if Bittu realised and apologised now, he would not be allowed to join the SAD (A) fold, given the fact that he had been indulging in anti-party activities. The SAD(A) chief said his party still stood for the agenda on which the KAC was formed. "However, the way secret meetings were held with the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana and representatives of Dera Sacha Sauda without taking the party into confidence had created suspicion," he added. He said the party in its own capacity would continue seeking appropriate action against the dera chief through legal means.
  20. It appears that Mann is power hungry and cant bare seeing new blood i.e. bittu. He is just out to get Badal and Badal Jnr, not to put forward any pro panthic agenda - just a vendetta against Badal. Any thoughts? Split in SAD (A) imminent as Bittu remains adamant Varinder Walia Tribune News Service Amritsar, August 25 The Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), headed by Simranjit Singh Mann is on the verge of split as Daljit Singh Bittu, senior vice chief of the party, is adamant to continue to be co- convener of the Khalsa Action Committee (KAC), despite the warning issued by the party chief. The fissures within the SAD(A) had come to the fore when party president had announced the snapping of ties with the KAC. Bittu had merged his Shiromani Khalsa Dal with the SAD (A) at Akal Takht on June 9 last year and became its senior vice-president. Talking to The Tribune here today, Bittu said he would actively participate in the forthcoming meeting of the KAC. He said he had taken this decision since the KAC had been doing a great job by organising Panthic marches against the living gurus, especially Dera Sacha Sauda chief who had been indulging in blasphemous activities. Bittu said after consulting his confidants he would take a formal decision whether to snap ties with the SAD (A) or not . However, he said he had been receiving a number of calls from India and abroad suggesting he should serve the Panth by organising Khalsa marches, being organised by the KAC . SAD (A) secretary general Bhai Ram Singh however, reiterated the party’s stand that Bittu would have to decide whether to remain with the party or the KAC as announced by the party president . He said Mann had already made it clear that no party leader could hold position in any other organisation. “ Party discipline is more important than anything”, he said. Earlier, Bittu held a marathon meeting with Kanwarpal Singh, a spokesman for the Dal Khalsa and Harinder Singh Khalsa, a former MP in the office of the Dal Khalsa here to discuss next course of action . However, the meeting of the KAC which was proposed to be held was postponed due to lack of quorum.
