The best way to deal with both the Gurdwara committees and the 'Aid' organisations is not to give them any of your hard earned money, make sure any money you want to donate you give straight to the people who need it or pass it to organisations who deal with exclusively Sikh issues like SOPW, Sikhs helping Sikhs, Akhar Soh and Sikh Awakening. The most depressing things I read was when the Khalsa Aid rushed off to help the Kashmiris in Azad Kashmir who suffered the earthquake in 2005. The truth of the matter is that when Indira Gandhi launched her genocidal war on us, she became a legitimate target. Some fools say she was a frail old woman but they forget that it was HER ORDERS that the army was following which committed the atrocities at Darbar Sahib. The media has gone out of their way to show as many Muslim victims as possible. Persian was the language of education, science and administration during Mughal rule so when the Sikhs took over Punjab the language retained its position not because Punjabi was in any way deficient but because in order to maintain order especially in revenue matters Persian was had to be retained.This is similar to how Latin was retained as the language of administration in most of Europe for hundreds of years after the end of the Roman Empire. If the Punjab had not been annexed in 1849 then Punjabi would probably become the official language by the end of the 19th century.
