Why women walk behind men Years ago Shanti Kaur questioning the Siri Singh Sahib Harbhajan Singh about the practice of having the Palay (the shawl) wrapped over the Man's shoulder, and the woman holding it from behind as the man leads the woman. She thought this was some old non Sikh practice and was wondering why we do this. Especially from the aspect of why the woman had to be in the back and following the man (being subservient). There was a first answer which I don't remember...(Maybe Guruka singh can fill in) which she listened to but was not satisfied, so went back to him again. He said the second time....something like "You see the woman being dragged by the man and following him as a lesser than equal. Marriage is a carriage. I see the woman being the leader, holding the shawl like reigns of the horse, directing the Man from behind. It's all how you look at it." waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh i have heard this before... but from what i have heard and learned in my gurudwara...there is no harm in doing any kind of sewa...there is no exceptions for not to do sewa...this is something that happens naturally and this cant stop anyone from doing sewa from the guru....some bibia dont do it outa the old traditional hindu customs or something like that..but i feel this was d kind of reason was used to avoid sewa by some..and then again its the relationship u have with your guru..n guru will never say no to your pyaar... anyway sorry if im wrong, im still a learner... bhul chuk maaf ji waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

gurfateh plz dont give up on him...with a good sadh sangat people will change..help him in anyway u can..tell him wat could happen if he goes into drug dealing..who will be destroyed because of his interest...try to push him more towards the sikhi path and give him alot of attention and care and hopefully with guru's meher..everything will be fine bhul chuk maaf ji gurfateh
