  1. seems like they're taking sikhi to the next level, trying to mix it in with the western world
  2. honestly, from my side I would give Sidhu props for actually promoting himself all over bollywood, especially with a turban on. not everyone can be perfect, especially when you're in the bollywood industry. sidhu with his hindu belives, so what's the big deal? it's his belief, I don't see people accusing you for having the wrong beliefs, I don't see him going around convincing others sikhs to believe in hindu gods either. first time I saw sidhu on TV, I was like " DAMN, who's that sardar on TV? " he's a good image of the sikh society onto the bollywood industry, maybe not by his beliefs but by his identity and status in the industry. so stop accusing him; "HE TRIMS, AND CALLS HIMSELF A SIKH haha! ", because if you think you're any better then go on, be a perfect sidhu on bollywood and prove him wrong... oh its not that easy is it?
  3. dont forget to give it a social security number
  4. i wouldn't call them racists, its just a lack of education.
  5. high on the naam? isnt that illegal in some states
  6. I don't have kesh, neither do I wear a kara. If I do wear one, I would be acting like I'm a religious Sikh, but that's just in my opinion, I wouldn't disagree with someone who wears one with no kesh, as long as they don't abuse it. Lets turn it around, how about a Sikh who keeps kesh but with no kara?
  7. Whats your opinions on wearing a kara and not keeping kesh?
  8. someone once told me that the gold kara's are for the really really religious people.
  9. You should be awarded for giving out the best comments on Sikhsangat.com
  10. Look, its not her fault, she wasn't educated enough to handle a situation like this. Put yourself in her place, and see how it feels. I've been into alot of situations like this when I was young, and I just learned from my mistakes. So, if I were her parents, I wouldn't take away the computer just like how any indian parent would after reading a article like this, I would probably give a short lecture and keep up with whats going on.
  11. contact the sikh coalition immediately. we cannot tolerate this
  12. respect everyone, everyones got their own opinions, and if you go against it- you're just wasting your time and effort. respect their views, and if they dont respect you- just ignore them, take it easy, don't make life so complicated by choosing between family and god, stay close to both of them
  13. yea people usually think sikhism is hindu/islam mix. gotta straighten them up soon
  14. why not just step on their feet instead, you're still makin contact lol
  15. you can't expect these giana ji's to be perfect. once i had a interested game of volleyball with a couple of giana ji's and some sardars. this girl came along to play, everytime when everyone's attention is on the ball, you can tell the giana ji's are secretly looking at the girls, at first i thought it was just normal but they KEPT starring. you'll hear alot of stories about giani's commiting sins, and you'll hear alot of stories about how they're so religious and so on. so in the end its up to you, when there is one corrupted giani, then that one influences the rest and later on, before you know it, its all of them. beware, and i dont think theres anything we can do besides complaint, if you really want to take action try talking to them personally, and if that doesnt work- threathen them that you'll start writing articles on them.
  16. well lets just end this, in life you learn from your mistakes, without mistakes there wouldn't be anything to learn. fateh
  17. the main problem in life is society. different views= different problems. money is mainly a neccesity in todays world, some people think its satisfying to make money, and some people are satisfied with meditation. its hard to point out a problem that cause the highs and lows of life, because life is what you make out of it
  18. everyone has their own problems in life, everyone comes from a different family, has different values, friends and a different lifestyle. no one can imagine what i've been through with family and friends, that is- before i cut my hair. i still respect the religion, and everyone who has faith in it. everyones got their own opinions, thats all i can say.
  19. only cool kids do weed. must be the cool nihangs
