Is it necessary that a few thousand fellow Sikhs know that aswell? Get it published on BBC Cyber service and get your pic published too, but don't post such things on a "SIKH" forum.     Doing Ninda of Guru by burning Badal or Dhumma poster? Badal is a sellout who has sold panth at all occasions, wheter 1978, 1984 or recent Dera Sirsa clashes. Dhumma is a sellout. How else have they done Ninda of our Gurus? None of the Photos are about the actual event. In that article there is a link to the original article in a Indian newspaper. CLick on it and you will see that the original article DIDNT HAVE ANY PHOTOGRAPH. The editors of Sikhnet just added pics of some models of Sikh background. They have nothing to do with that event. There are many people cutting their hair. Allmost nothing is being done for that... They don't know about Sikhi or ignore it. (Gur)Sikh rolemodels in media won't harm, will it? Or you want 'Sikh' youth to have Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Brad Pitt and Michael Jackson as Idols or rolemodels? I know we should have Sant Jarnail Singh or other MahaPurkhs as idols, but its not as easy for everyone. WJKK WJKF Ji

    I see what you mean, and somewhere you are right too. But i well think a Singh with a long dhara or a dumalla can ALSO win this contest, IF ONE APPLIES ATLEAST. How can you expect a Dumalla wearing Singh to win, if not a single applies? I mean there isn't written anywhere in their rules and regulations or poster than the beard should be gelled or so? Speaking Hindi. Well it is well possible that the Singh was from outside Punjab. So Hindi to him could be like English to you or me. That isn't a *VERY BIG* point of concern, but I get what you mean. I guess most dastardhari Sikhs in this world wear Nok Wali pug, but it is slowly changing with the youth opting for gol dastars... just to clear up, i do agree with that statement I'm glad that you agree.     Sadly we have started measuring Sikhs 'Sikhi level' by the size of their dumallas and their cholas. I have seen many Amritdhari Sikhs - Singhs - with 5 k's - wearing suits etc. It is not wrong, as it is not condemned anywhere in Rehit Maryada. So there is nothing wrong with that poster. Don't think all amritdharis in world wear Dumallas and wear cholas. Sardar is just a title given by people who respect us. Our real title, that was given by our father Guru Gobind Singh ji is SINGH and KAUR for women. Coming back to the original poster, it is a very good initiation as it boosts the confidence of many Sikh boys/men all over the world. WJKK WJKF Ji

    oh well.. these are the modern day mahants.. we need more ppl like shaheed bhai lachhman singh who liberated gurughar at nankana sahib from narain das mahant... we need to revolt against all these corrupt ppl hiding under panthic garb... wheter sgpc in punjab, or these small committees around the world..

    Peacemaker, do you know what "ath deeth" means? (its in Jaap Sahib) Punjabi ch kehnde ne ke kutte nu ek vaar lat mar devo ta oh pind da raah hi chadd denda hai..     Shastr and Avnit, sorry I made a mistake I meant Khalistan movement. But still, even that could be an option. Read the post above, which is an amazing post. Sarbat Khalsa (Guru Roop, Khalsa), declared Khalistan in 1986 and the Council of Khalistan was made 7 October 1987. So currently it is under occupation of Hind sarkar. Request to mods, can the title be changed to "Akhand Paath Smagam For The Chardikalla Of Khalistan " WJKK WJKF Ji

    An Akhand Paath Smagam for the Chardikalla of Khalistan organised by Jathedar Sukhdev Singh Jalwehra (Belgium). The Akhand Paath Smagam will start on the 6th of november, and the Bhog will be on the 8th of November 2009. Dr. Gurmit Singh Aulakh, president of the Council of Khalistan (appointed by the Khalsa panth in 1987) will address the Sangat.
