no gurdwaras outside india have Dasam Guru Granth parkaash, but i have seen it parakash at at Taksal gurdwaras and Nihang Singh Shounies throughout india . Alongside Aad Guru Granth Sahib.

wasnt able to attend myself due to illness, but a copy of Sant Gurbachan Singhs Ji's Katha of Guru Granth Sahib has been brought for me, and i looked for it at Mehta Chowk, and Taksalshop in Amritsar, but couldnt get it. Am so glad i have it now after many moons looking for it. Hope the Taksal remains in high spirits forever., and hope they do more in UK.

In 1991 when elections were announced , bittu wanted boycott of elections and sohan singh wanted to particpate. Sohan Singh correctly said that if a congress govt come to power in punjab the movenment will suffer. on this point bittu threatened to kill him . sohan singh backed down, and we know the rest. If the akalis attested the elections it was a certainty that Maan would come to power in Punjab as Chief Minister, andthe Khalistan movement would gain impetus, both nationally and internationally. im not surprised that sohan singh gave up, he was dealing with people who didnt kow what they were doing. bittu now talks about panchayat akali leadership. but will he allow others to voice thier views if they are different from his. the same with zaffarwal as well, he knew the movement has been destroyed by our own stupidity.

actually this was NOT about dasan das, but another member of our "group" , who couldng make up his mind about whether to attend a rainsbhai or come to the gurdwara. Dear fellow God-seekers. I started this topic last week, and actually i wasnt refering to myself, but another person who was considering going to a rainsbhai, and leaving his sewa at our gurdwara. Basically i told him that he knows how much of a strain it can be if even one of us (out of 3) fail to turn up. we have been doing this for almost 2 years now. anyway i in starting this topic used really selfish motives to excuse myself from performing the sewa, and what reallly surprised me was that it was on picked up only very slightly by other members, while i tried to sound as self-centered as poss. Nobody clearly said " chatanga , wot a selfish thing to say " even when i said things like I wish to go to the rainsbhai so i can miss the sewa..." and " Over time i felt that i can pass the buck to the other sewadaars , so i can enjoy what i want to do, without really concerning myself about what they feel." But i wanna thank everyone for their response and advice. I have passed on your comments to the person concerned who has informed me that he will be turning up on Sunday morning. The sewa that we do are sttm in the darbar , about 2.5 hours, and we run our own stall selling cd's. Making sure literature stand is fully stocked etc , everybody shooud do tghis at thier local gurdwaras. Thank you everybody.

Longowal at first shared ambitions wiv Bhindranwale but a rift between them was created, and unltimately Longowal refused Bhindranwale to speak from Manji Sahib. The rift was over Gurcharan Singh, the secretary off the akali dal who helped murder sodhi. this was about 3 months b4 bluestar. Bhindranwale putting the panth first never criticised Longowal openly. However Longowal did send feelers to the govt that the Sikhs in Darbar Sahib would never offer resistance if the army invaded. Personally i dont think that Longowal should have been killed. He was killed becos people thought his accord wiv rajiv in 1985 sold out the movement. again people will have differing views over whether he really did. also i feel the panth would have been better off if badal and tohra were killed rather than longowal, cos if he was guilty of treason in 84 , so were they. where this story of him shaving came about from i dont know, and have never heard it. Longowal was a bachelor, and nothing to his name.
