  1. Is it me or are we seeing alot of fake news? For example, here in Canada more specifically Toronto, it seems some of the news here is fabricated. There seems to be a lot of deep issues written in new articles that journalists seem to be very "passe" about.

  7. Gurfateh ji, I am in my early 20's and don't get along with my grandma. she really knows how to get under my skin. She's not even like an evil grandma or anything. Just a normal everyday bibi. She is always lingering, nagging to do housework. She's super negative towards my dad and muttering under her breathe. On top of that she is amritdhari without any understanding of gurmat which really annoys me. Wears kakkar but will never teach me punjabi or sit down have gurmat vichaar or want to change mentality. Yet she will end every conversation with "Challo, Vaheguru de hatha vich ee aa" reluctantly after 1 hr of being unsatisfied about her life. I feel guilty for wanting to do things my own way; hermit zone, listen to kirtan and katha and do chores separate (I concentrate better + chores done quicker). I don't want to talk to bibi as I find most content unnecessary. Her whole life is about housework and revolves around that so I be formal and respectful but that's it. I have to force myself to talk for her mental wellbeing so she doesn't feel alone. Then I feel drained personally, feeling spiritually empty/ disconnected cos havn't had enough katha/ kirtan/ vichaar/ sangat to remind of real purpose. Even if we don't talk, it's like she is always sending negativity towards me. (?Idk if going crazy). If someone is an elder I don't automatically respect them. If they have gian, gurmat, positivity then I do truely love and respect them, regardless if blood relationship or not. But if all that has been collected in negativity, hypocrisy then I have no need/ desire to respect bcos i seek more than that. I also lowkey resent that she never passed on knowledge e.g. about punjabi, meanings of gurbani cos she doesn't know. It's just about mundane things like making sabji... which sorry bibi, I know it's your life purpose but for me I know and can make it and that's it. I don't need to talk about daal sabji, housework etc to fill out my day. And then this contaminates my own sikhi cos look at me now... I am unsatisfied and complaining about another human being. It's taking away from my life, where this energy should be focused on Vaheguru. I don't want to end up like my family and put housework etc before sikhi. It's like a mix of hormones, generational differences in thinking, spiritual ego of mine, cultural guiltyness for not respecting elders, and no1 lack of experience in grist jeevan skills. Please help. Some insight to how to establish some sort of common ground? Anyone have similar experiences or am I the only rotten'' child?
  8. Here is a shocking video of baba ranjit singh ji dhadrian wale contents of the video showing people bowing down worshiping him giving him money thinking he's some type of spiritual guru
  9. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Something Daas wanted to know was why some lost Sikhs go to Fake Gurus? Don't say the Indian Government sponsors them,(even though they do), because we all know that these people are not really devout that it would effect what the Indian Government did. Are these people stupid or something, that they need to be lied to on a much lower level of spirituality than what they could get from a Gurdwara? Add to that, some of these Pakhandi Babas have shown Manmat, and their i-d-i-o-t-i-c disciples still follow them like a mentally brainwashed person. Examples being 1978, (Fauja Singh and some other Singhs being Shaheed from a Pakhandi), Beas incident, (where Radha Pakhandi followers made some Sikhs Shaheed), Noormahal being very aggressive towards Khalsa, and that Saucha Sahib Pakhandi making his fake Amrit. Is there something wrong in the brains of the these people's disciples, especially since they claim to the world that some of these are "so-called" Sikhs? Just my few questions on why any person would follow them, rather than Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
  10. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Daas really wanted to know why some people misinterpret Gurbani to fill their own needs? This happens a lot especially by Liberal Sikhs; which Daas sometimes notices on this website. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
  11. Great example of why Gatka is not taken seriously in the martial arts community. http://dailysikhupdates.com/watch-group-kaur-khalsa-perform-for-funtertainment-on-sony/ Exactly why Gurbhachan Singh Bhindranewale described this type of Gatka as that of circus performers and baazigars rather than a combat art.. Do people still think The Khalsa , Akal purakh di fauj went into battle against the armies of ahmed shah abdali and carried out circus acts ??
  12. Its a pretty old video but I thought I'd share it What do you guys think? Its pretty funny and true and I guess Niddar had it coming too.
  13. Almost Half-Century Later, Sardar Kapur Singh's Warning Continues to Haunt Sikh Nation SOURCE: http://www.panthic.org/articles/5528 Sardar Kapur Singh, the Sikh parliamentarian, theologian, was a former member of the elite Indian ICS. He was the main architect behind the famed “Anandpur Sahib Resolution” and was an unrelenting critic of the prejudiced policies of India in terms of the Sikh Nation. His famous work "Saachi Sakhi", details the systematic subjugation of the Sikh community after 1947 under the newly founded Indian hegemony. Highly regarded in Panthic circles, Sardar Kapur Singh was bestowed the title "National Professor of Sikhism" by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He would publicly scorn the ineffectual callous Sikh leadership and in his lectures, he would passionately implore the youth to reject this scourge as they had become an obstacle in fulfilling the divine destiny of the Khalsa. On August 23rd, 1968, during a conference organized by the All India Sikh Students Association, at Punjab University, Chandigarh, he uttered the following: “...The Young Khalsa now must actively undertake to deliver the Sikh masses from the slavery of spiritual charlatans, called the sants and the Sikh Panth from the ruinous leadership of incompetent thugs and uneducated hooligans, called the jathedars." These prophetic words of caution uttered by the great Sikh statesman nearly half a century ago, still ring true today, as the people of Punjab for whom Sardar Kapur Singh tirelessly agitated for all his life, seem content shackled by the mental slavery imposed by the current Panthic leadership of spiritual charlatans (sants) and incompetent thugs (jathedars) . 14. Punjab, WORLD | July 1, 2013, 7:11 pm Punjab Police Officer Admits Killing 83 in Fake Encounters Inspector Alleges Life Threat from KP GillBy: Sikh24 Editors AMRITSAR SAHIB (July 1, 2013)–An Amritsar Sahib based Punjab Police officer named Surjit “Singh” has admitted to killing over 83 people in police custody. Surjit alleged that during the Sikh Freedom movement in Punjab, the Punjab Police under the guidance of KP Gill had killed many in false encounters. Surjit has alleged that many of those killed in these encounters were actually innocent youth of Punjab who had no links to so-called “militant organisations”. In an interview by Day & Night News, the former officer admitted to having carried out the killings even though he was personally against such heinous crimes. Surjit alleged that he was promised promotions by the Punjab police to carry out such operations however such promises are not being kept today. He has also alleged that his life too is in danger now and he has requested the CBI to carry out a full investigation in this case and also provide him with security. Punjab Police officer Surjit singh (on right) has alleged he was asked by KP Gill to carry out fake encounters. Surjit has been serving the Punjab Police since November 1989. During his tenure there, he was often given a list of names that were to be picked up and eliminated. He alleged that if proper investigations are carried out, many other Punjab Police officers would be found guilty of committing the same crime as him. Human Rights Activist S. Jaswant Singh Khalra had unearthed proof of 25,000 illegal cremations just in Amritsar Sahib area. S. Khalra was later also abducted and eliminated by the Punjab Police under the orders of KP Gill. http://www.sikh24.com/2013/07/punjab-police-officer-admits-killing-83-in-fake-encounters/#.UdIdjDvviSo Sikh24 Editors can be reached at @
  15. A pakhandi baba from leicester who calls himself "amrik baba" has fooled many people within our community into thinking he has "special powers" and also claiming that the 10 Gurus come to him along with Baba farid ji and other bhagats. We urge our fellow Sikh brothers and sisters not to fall into this trap. These people are not in any way spiritual nor will they heal your problems. Many families lives have been ruined because of people like this, they put doubts into your heads, they take huge amounts of money and only make problems worse. Whether it be this baba or a baba on the back of the des pardes PLEASE do not fall for it !! The only person and true person we should turn to is our Guru, Dhan Dhan Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Maharaaj is the only one who will listen to your problems not some guy sitting on a comfy couch claiming he has all these powers. A humble request to sangat in Leicester to get in touch with this baba and put a stop to this immediately before more families are ruined and fall into this falsehood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jfxrPmKANr8#at=1315
  16. Woke up to this on BBC website this morning.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-15480741 now I dont confess to know much about him but his stories of being the ONLY surviving master of a forgotten martial art seem far fetched and now his story is in mainstream media being fed to the world!!
