  4. There's a thread on the main page giving thanks to Sikh Medics on the frontline of coronavirus. But I want to dedicate this thread to some real unsung heroes ; The Sikh auntiyan who work as hospital cleaners in the UK. From West Middlesex Hospital to Hillingdon to Sandwell to Birmingham to Southampton General to the Royal London - up and down this country there has been and continues to be an army of Sikh auntiyan that deep clean the bed spaces of coronavirus patients. For minimum wage they selflessly put themselves at even greater risk than the doctors and nurses because, Unlike the medics,
  5. This situation is different to anything I have been involved in my life so far Whether it was purely natural or manufactured, there have been some winners and losers from it: - Big food companies like supermarkets ; even small businesses like corner shops and off licences are doing well in UK. However, high street shops which cannot open are going out of business - Cashless industry vs cash as lots of big businesses still open are rejecting cash where possible for 'hygiene reason' - IT companies because more people are working from home so requiring their technology. On th
  6. Coronavirus. What do we know ? We know the rest of the world is trying to prevent any of it's citizens getting it whereas the UK is actively trying to ensure at least 50% of it's citizens get it. From a purely selfish point of view I'd like to try and keep myself and family safe as per the advice in the rest of the world but from a purely scientific point of view there is great merit in the UK strategy. The answer - long term - is to create an immunity from the virus and the only way to ensure that is to create a herd immunity among the population. That will only come once enough of the pop
  7. How is everyone coping with the lockdown? Which is obviously necessary to stop the virus spreading. I have so far kept as safe as possible. No going out except for excercise and essentials. Usually I am so busy with work and other outdoor activities. Gym, sports, social. It seems strange that we just have to stay indoors 24/7. But the positive is we now have so much time to do things we have been putting off. Ie gardening, home diy, . On the plus side I am finding that I now have time to engage in hobbies that I never had time to do before such as cooking. I am also exercising more

  15. Coronavirus nd Chinese Propaganda. They always want 80/90% of people believing them, believing the lie the truth then becomes irrelevant.
  16. In these tough times with people are dying from the coronavirus, the speed to which it is spreading cannot be controlled and doctors/scientists are unable to find a cure for this virus. We as Sikhs should keep a high spirits through Gurbani. A few weeks ago I was reading through shabads and I came across a shabad on who cured Hargobind (our sixth Guru when his father Sri Guru Arjun Dev ji was the Guru) from a fever. There are four different shabads on Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib ji being cured. I will post all of them. There are many people who are breaking the faith of the Sikhs in Vaheguru
