Chicago (KP) - The argument whether Baba Daljit Singh is a parcharak of Sikhi or if he is aligned with anti-Panthic forces is not a new one and has been coming ever since his early years of gaining standing in the Sikh Panth. He started off with spending years studying Sikh philosophy and history from Baba Hari Singh ‘Randhawe Wale’ and later become the head-granthi of Keshgarh Sahib but was soon removed from his duties due to reasons which are not well known to the Sikh Sangat.

In a recent press conference, the Khalsa Panchayat announced that it would continue with its mission of exposing the so called ‘Babe’ who were giving a bad name to Sikhi and Baba Daljit Singh's name was mentioned because of some of his activities which do not align with Gurmat. Mainly the reasons included his supposed separation from his wife, Bibi Rupinder Kaur. Khalsa Panchayat has in the past many times accused Baba Daljit Singh of anti-Sikh activities.

Baba Daljit Singh has been residing in Chicago, IL USA for several years. He is also the founding President of the Chicago chapter of the Guru Nanak Sikh Mission of America and a member of the International Association of Religious Freedom (IARF). In August of 2003 he was awarded with the Panth Rattan award by the International Sikh Dharam Prachar Manch and the Baba Farid Foundation International.
