Sikh okay Protein bars

Recommended Posts

truth is now a days its hard to find "Pure vegetarian" products...so i think the best way to go is make them your selves (Make sure you buy soy protein powder because it is vegetarian)

http://www.recipelink.com/ch/2002/october/sunlightcafe2.html

or if u really need to you should search www.bodybuilding.com

here is another recipie:

Combine in large mixing bowl:

3 Cups Oatmeal

1/2 Cup Natural Peanut butter

1 cup Skim Milk

4 Scoops Protein Powder

dash of cinnamon

Mix with a large spoon or knife until a sticky batter is formed (may take a few minutes)

use the spoon or knife to spread out the mix into the bottom of a Pam-sprayed glass or metal cooking tray (spread until even)

top with 4-8 packets splenda

put in the fridge overnight and cut into 8 equal bars that yield:

11g fat (good monounsaturated fats)

26g carbs

21g protein

285 calories

Yep. If you're after extra protein, the commercial bars are all crap anyway. Most contain too much fat and are waayy over-processed.

Gulp down 2 scoops of any whey protein mixed with milk and have a cheese sandwich. Quick and easy balance of carbs, fat n protein after a training session..
