Books For Learning Punjabi

My american sister has to learn Punjabi.

Are there any good books to learn Gurmukhi first?

ummm there are books such as punjabi parveshka which teaches the basic alphabets etc, afterwhich one could move on to this series of books known as "harjeet punjabi vyakaran tey rachnaavli" (hope i got the title correct...its been ages ) where they teach you about grammar, vocabulary, abit of history etc etc.

i learnt panjabi by myself with a Great book called panjabi for begginers i think sikh missionary society has it

I tried to browse the site of Sikh Missionary, but they don't have this name "punjabi for beginners " on their site.

Could anyone send a copy to me if I send them my address becasue it is kind of urgent.

There used to be a PDF called Punjabi Primer (punjabiprimer.pdf) on the net. It is a very easy way to get a good grasp of Punjabi.
