Pin In Dastaar?

i put couple of pins in my dastaar... is tht ok???

When you take amrit, the punj pyare tell you not to put any pins in your dastaar. Anti-Gurmat is a very strong word, its not good rehat for a Sikh, anti-gurmat will be something that is against the teachings of SGGS, and the Khalsa panth.

for my style of dastaar.. the way i tie it... pin is indispensable!!

but ... anywys... if panj pyaare does mention "not to"... then i wont do it!!

as for the pins, well i dont think it really matters unless panj singh tell you not to put em in ur dastaar. its not like its gettin in the way of ur nitnem, simran, seva etc ......or is it??.... @

by calling someone's Dastar Samosa pagh, you guys are disrespecting dastars. Just tie a dastar that you like as long as its a dastar not a patka or somthing like that

I fail to undertand as to how putting pins in the turban come in the way of Gursikhi. Neither I have ever heard that PanJ Piyaras prohibit putting pins in the turban. Never I have listended from any parchark on any stage that putting pins in your dastar is anti -rehat.

If it is so then why the Singhs wear or put a 'khanda' or a chakar on their turbans.

By putting into such small and mean issues one is 'be -littling' and downgrading Sikhi. Sikhi is a very liberal way of life with very few prohibitions. It is O.K. till one does not violate the basic principles and observes Rehat and does not indulge into 'kurahits.
