London Sikhi Week kicks of this week on Wednesday 1st March – Wednesday 8th

March 2006.

A week long of inspiring, intellectual, active and most importantly fun talks and discussions, ending the week off with Keertan. Each day will include an open to all question and answer session where the speaker can be asked question on Different aspects of Sikhism. Each day will have a key guest speakers who has travelled from across the

UK, some of whom are recent graduates and have knowledge of the student scene.

EVERYONE is welcome to attend these events they are OPEN TO all members of the PUBLIC. You don't have to even be a Sikh! Each and every event will be followed with a Question and Answer interactive session after which free refreshments will be made available.

You don’t need a ticket or anything else just your self at the various unis :lol:

Wednesday 1st March

"Why Are We Here?"

Focusing on the purpose of life asking key questions we ask our self about,

“Who are you? What is your name? What is your way? What is your goal?...” [sidh Ghost, Ang 938, SGGS]

Find out the Sikh view on the PURPOSE OF LIFE and who is god why has he sent us here?

Thursday 2nd March

"Death, The Greatest Joke"

What is Death in Sikhism, What is the purpose of Death and how do Sikhs look upon it. Dr Davinder Singh Panesar Will be exploring death. Renowned speaker in London has been carrying out a series of talks in London on science with regards to the worlds faiths.

"Angels & Devils"

Heaven and Hell? Where does Sikhism stand on Heaven and Hell? Other faiths say you will go to hell for not believing in god will I go to HELL for doing something wrong?

"The Spirit Within"

"You Gotta Believe Me"

What happens to us after death? Do Sikhs believe in reincarnation are we called to account for our deeds? The talk will explore the cycle of rebirth and death with speakers from all warps of life selected especially to bring there own flavour to a interesting subject.

Spiritual Vibes (Keertan)

Ending the week with Spiritual singing of Keertan with well known Keertane’s doing seva from up and down the UK. Promising to be a spiritually explosive closing event. "Singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, bliss, peace and rest are obtained.." [Ang 962, SGGS]
