Making A Website

I need to make a simple website where i can show my portfolio and art work after i leave uni. I basically want like an art galler thing and a video player, that only plays (streams) short videos for people to watch.

I wanted to ask if there are any simple packages that will allow me to design the website, from backgrounds, buttons, scolling text etc.

Also is it possible to add flash animations to the site layout?

How hard is to make a flash website?

I would say a CMS is overkill. You dont need anything that big and complicated.

Setting up HTML pages is not hard at all and something like this ->http://www.sikhpride.com/wars.htm is not hard to do at all.

if you want something that is ideal for art/design/website portfolio I would highly reccomend slideshowpro (http://slideshowpro.net/). It plays FLVs and shows images and is very visually appealing.

Lots of art/fashion/print/web designers use it because it rockkks. Most of them just make a simple page, and put the gallery right there, because it does everything they need.

Not sure if you have already seen it but the most simple site make i have come across is www.moonfruit.com they build all the site in flash and its a drag and drop type construction.
