vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh

i think everyone on the forum has come across this by now.

ਕਬੀਰ ਸੰਤ ਮੂਏ ਕਿਆ ਰੋਈਐ ਜੋ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਜਾਇ ॥

kabeer sant moo-ay ki-aa ro-ee-ai jo apunay garihi jaa-ay

Kabeer, why cry at the death of a Saint? He is just going back to his home.

ਰੋਵਹੁ ਸਾਕਤ ਬਾਪੁਰੇ ਜੁ ਹਾਟੈ ਹਾਟ ਬਿਕਾਇ ॥੧੬॥

rovhu saakat baapuray jo haatai haat bikaa-ay.

Cry for the wretched, faithless cynic, who is sold from store to store.

"moo-ay" = death

"ro-ee-ai" = cry

"grih" = place

"rovuh" = cry

"saakat" = worldly person

"bapuray" = wretched

"haat" = shop

"bikaa-ay" = sold

Bhagat Kabeer Ji clearly says that when a Saint dies, we should not be sad. They haven't even died, just gone back to where they came from, where they finally attain total peace away from this world. Tears are worthless at death. If they come, they come, but we shouldn't feel that just because someone has died, we must cry because it's the "norm".

Instead of being sad at the Brahmgyanis dying, should we not feel more sadness for those who do not have faith on Maharaj? The ones who have done bad deeds and had no religion or morals, no remembrance of Maharaj. For sure they will be punished - it's the way Maharaj's Justice is. They will go through so much pain and regret...and may have to travel through the ages so long before returning with another chance at life.

It is interesting to see how often we label people Saints or Gursikhs and seem to know that they're going directly to Maharaj. Do we really know anyone? And do we really know what their fate is?

There's not much time.
