go to my computer

click on tools

then folder options

view

then unckeck option HIDE EXTENSION FOR KNOWN FILE TYPES.

THEN RENAME THE ABC.avi FILE TO ABC.mpg AND TRY TO PLAY OR JUZ RENAME ABC.AVI

MAY MAY WORK.

BUT I AM NOT SURE LOL
