Is This True? A Speech For Vaisakhi

Hmm.. i have grew up listening to sakhis and most of the time this is also what I heard:

"When Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj knelt infront of the Panj Pyare, Bhai Daya Singh Ji asked Guru Ji, " We have offered our heads to recieve this Amrit. What do you offer in exchange of this Khande Bateh da Amirt?"

Guru Ji replied. "do kirpa and give me this amrit nectar and in return when the time comes I will sacrifice my whole Sarbaans (family and lineage) for it." Thus Guru ji is known as Sarbans-Daaniya."

Now this has been put to question its has made me think also. Anyone can shed some light on this?

A sikh cud never question a Guru whatever position he has reached.

This story doesn't stand up to the real Character of Bhai Daya singh Ji.

However we agree that Guru Ji cud have said that

rem at that moment, bhai daya singh was not bhai daya singh, he was equal to guru sahib because guru sahib made him so. and by doing this kautak, guru gobind singh ji showed that in practical the punj payare were him and he was the punj

I understand where youre coming from for the sake of showing that the Panj Pyare and Guru Sahib were one and the same, but Guru Sahib already did that by kneeling down and begging for Amrit.

Sometimes people make up so called "sakhis" to inspire people, unfortunately, a lot of those sakhis are taken as historical facts.

This "sakhi" is not in line with the character of Bhai Daya Singh, therefore its false unless proven to be true.

also i would like to know if the following narration of Vaisakhi day is correct as i heard it somewhere.

it says that when Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj kneeled infront of Panj Pyare and asked for Amrit they said "Wait. What are you willing to sacrifice for the panth in order to recieve amrit- like we just give our 5 heads".

Guru Maharaj replied " As you sacrificed 5 heads, so will i sacrifice 5 heads for the sake of Panth, Khalsa and righteusness".

the 5 heads he is here refering to is then:

4 Sahibzade and Guru Tegh Bahadur Maharaj.

where is this narration from?

That sounds like a Katha by Bhai Sulakan Singh Jee Taran Taran Wale.
