WEST MIDLAND’S SIKHI WEEK 2007 IS BACK! WITH A VENGENCE…

ENLIGHTEN YOURSELF THROUGH GURBANI

STARTS DIS MONDAY IN 2 DAYS

Following on the success of previous weeks, the famous Sikhi Weeks of the West Midlands is back and boy is it going to be bigger then ever! With Sikh Martial Arts displays, inspirational talks, a National Youth Kirtan Darbar and a massive Langar event this week promises to be the best yet.

Attached is the poster for the week and a short description of each event if you would like to know more. Please take the time out to come down and join in… you can’t afford to miss it!

SIKH WOMEN IN SACRIFICE

UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM: ST FRANCIS HALL:

MONDAY 29TH OCT 2-5PM

A inspirational talk given by Bibi Daljit Kaur on the countless sacrifices given by Women within Sikhi like those of those countless mothers who saw they young children killed made into garlands and put around there necks and still they did not flinch or give up their faith.

“THROUGH HIS OWN EYES: THE MISSION OF GURU NANAK DEV JI”

ASTON UNIVERSITY: ROOM NG09

WEDNESDAY 31ST OCT 2-5PM

A seminar by Professor Gurnam Singh from the University of Coventry on the mission of Guru Nanak Dev Ji exploring the three Universal concepts of meditation, truthful living, and to share with others.

GATKA: SIKH MARTIAL ARTS!

ASTON UNIVERISTY: OUTSIDE GUILD

THURSDAY 1 ST NOV 1-3PM

Colourful and exciting display of an Ancient Sikh Martial Art using various weapons. Accompanying the display will be a short talk about the history of Sikh Martial Art and the traditions.
