Jalandhar, December 4: Critcising the state government and Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for installing a portrait of Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale in the museum of the Golden Temple, the Shiv Sena (Hindustan) Tuesday gave call for a Punjab bandh on December 14 against the installation of the portrait.

"The act of SGPC may disturb the hard earned peace of Punjab, which was restored after sacrifices of thousands of people," Vinay Jalandhari, National Senior Vice President of the party told reporters here Tuesday, revealing that on the eve of proposed bandh, effigies of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and SGPC's Chief Avtar Singh Makkar, would be burnt here.

Jalandhari appealed BJP, to clarify its stand on the "unholy" act of SGPC, so that Hindus could identify the policy of the saffron party.
