first of all bhai sahib, i dont know bhai raja sahib so i say nothing about him. But, as for naam, when panj pyare make u say vaheguru 5 times, that IS naam. Thats givving u naam. They might also teach u saas giraas, a technique of doing naam simran, which aint a pakhand by the way.

and guru je said wherever panj singhs are, i myself am there, in their form

thats why only they can give naam

vahheguru gurmantar is like 2 times more pwoerful than saying ram or allah

u can say ram or allah, but it will take u much longer tog et mukhti

The main point is, that only panj pyarae can give u naam

anyone else who gives naam is a pakhandi

thats when they give u naam

and theres only one naam in sikhi

that is vaheguru
