I would say I'm liberal in terms of the drugs policy in the UK, conservative in terms of crime and punishment, and right-wing in terms of immigration.

In the UK we have an unoffical two-party system, labour vs. tories. It works by labour messing things up and then the conservatives cleaning the mess up, (and then labour come back into power and get the credit for it!).
