With GuruJi's Kirpa, we have been given the opportunity to serve the sangat and I would like to ask for assistance from other sangat members to help in our seva plans.

We operate from the North of England and run an organisation called The Sikh Foundation (UK):

The Sikh Foundation consists of a small group of volunteers within the Sikh community, all having the same central goal to empower Sikh's to become better individuals and excel within their community through a series of educational, social and personal development initiatives. Our goal to to operature local Sikhi Community Education Centres, places where we would provide a wide range of education, vocational and professional skills and try to provide these services to all sangat members without barries such as 'caste'-based Gurudware, gender or age. We aim to provide a neutral enviroment, with no biased towards one particular organisation or Gurudwara.

We are urgently looking for people initially in the North of England (i.e. anywhere from Stoke up to Newcastle, Liverpool to Hull), who could volunteer to become our local community centre leaders. We would also like to hear from anyone who can provide professional services such as:

Counselling

Health care

Finance

Sports

Gatka

Gurbani/Sikhi Educators

Kirtanis

Essentially we are looking for anyone with any skills that they feel would benefit the community to come forward and volunteer. By volunteering you would in no way be commiting yourself to anything. We would like to have a database of people from diffierent cites that we could count on as and when we require, so please get in touch.

The website is still under construction to go and have a look but please forgive us if we don't update it each day.

Please bear with us as this is very much a work in progress and the more people we can get to help us along with the seva the more defined and refined the project will become.
